They confirmed the Nemesis System is coming in WW in the official RUclips description. I can see her lasso being used as a way to extract vital information from enemies.
I feel like a great game series to have the nemesis system could be the borderlands series since the psychos and bandits are very similar to orcs but just more modern. Borderlands even has thief own magical characters called sirens so the game could be you playing as a siren building a bandit army of something but the patent makes it a missed opportunity.
A Batman game would be awesome
Monoliths nemesis system was one of the most interesting, unique, badass system created in recent memory and I'd love to see it continue within any forum or i.p. even if the story is poop the system itself could carry a game
If they don't implement it, they should be forced to give up the patent immediately and never be allowed to patent anything ever again.
I think the focus they have on nemesis is superheros and a grunt becoming powerful. Imagine a crime game though that enemies change dependent on how you deal with the criminal gang, like Mafia would be perfect. There could be different endings even dependent on who a nemesis is or different way criminals do their work. Though most games could use it to give some background instead of writing an elaborate background for enemy characters even if it's just the name and likeness of someone you interacted with before.
I may not be a fan of super hero games but I will get this game cause of the nemesis system
I can't wait to see The New Wonder Woman Game in Nemeses system.

The only flaw of shadow of war was that there wasn’t enough content. But idk how they would implement the nemesis system. If it’s done well, then it may become one of the most replayable AAA super hero game.
Its other flaws mainly the movement and targeting during combat very frustrating ngl.
The nemesis system in the Wonder Woman game is so cool to me. You could end up with a unique rogue’s gallery

I desperately need more Middle-Earth games, but after the tragedy of Gollum (the game not the character) and the new Wonder Woman game, I’m not sure we’ll ever get another good addition.
I still remember my first nemesis from SOM. Skak the Breaker, a pale archer. He killed me SO many times while I was learning the game, but died in the most funny pathetic disappointing way: tripped and fell into a campfire.
I'm pissed they put a patent on the system. It's so stupid. They've only made 2 games with it, when it could be in DOZENS of amazing open world games.

Wait how can they own a concept😂? Or do they just own their own nemesis system and no one else can use that code for it? Cause like what’s stopping another company from just making their own nemesis system but with a twist? I’m just confused cause that’s like saying rocksteady decided to own the x attack and y to dodge with an alert over the npcs head in the Arkham games, even though the Spider-Man games and many other games use that system

A Warhammer Fantasy game with the Nemesis System on Skaven is really what i long for. They are basically orcs but just rats, what is there not to love.
Any Warhammer game w/the Nemesis system would be incredible.
I hate WB for patenting this system, there are so many games that could've been enhanced so much by it. And now it's just sitting there collecting dust. It's unironically the only good thing ever made by WB.

Fair point. But it’s unfortunate anyone from making a system remotely close. And look its been over 5yrs since shadow of war released and nothings come out by them with this system. It’s unfortunate because its just rotting away
It's unfortunate in the sense that it kills any innovation regarding that system. What if they never used it til the patent ran out ? They would have objectively lessened the quality of potential games that'd wish to have used it in their development. Look at the bandai namco one with the minigames during loading screens. It has expired since but do you see anyone implement it ? The nemesis system could be no different and left in the dust with no one daring to use it afterwards
It's funny that the shadow of war games borrowed from the assassin's creed, yet God forbid if their nemesis system is used. It's stupid and ruins innovation, that's why. Get it?
