- Con Edison says manhole fire occurred at 64th and West End and impacted a transmission line, knocking out power to more than 42, 000 customers across Midtown and the Upper West Side in New York City on Saturday night.
The loss of power is from 5th Avenue to Hudson River, and West 40th to 72nd Streets.

The complexities and problems about completely bringing any building back up after the power is restored is no small thing. Not to mention the individual systems in each businesses' suite. The security systems/cameras/doors etc.etc.etc. This is going to be a long weekend for Building Engineers/Security officers/cleaning crews, etc.
So how did the size of this blackout compare to the previous ones? I guess smaller than 77 and mutch smaller than either 65 or 2003

I'm from Australia and we are kings of power outages, In 2016 the state of South Australia had lost power for the whole state

This is kind of the blackout of 2003 (kind of)
Similar. I believe the recent blackout wasn’t much hard to battle. We have more generators than before, technology is easy to get contact with anyone and stay up to date.
