Thank you for sharing your trip. It is still nice to stop by tge lounge and relax before a long-haul flight. I had one if my best friends take this long-haul trip back in 2018 and on Delta as well. He said that flight was long even for him but he loved being down there.
Thanks for watching! Lounge access is always great prior to a long flight. Sometimes the food options at the Delta Sky Club can be lackluster but it's better then nothing :)
@@XavierHerndon You are welcome. Yes, I know the lounges now a days are become crowded a little more!! But yes, most of the food in lounges is becoming nice. I understand many lounges are not open or they are closed so you have to eat at one of the terminal cafes. But everyone is different sometimes in traveling and most of us are just dealing with flying in general. 😂 Hahaha!!
I've flown between the US and South Africa multiple times, and usually I prefer to have a layover in Amsterdam or Paris, but living in Atlanta it was just a too convenient for me not to take the non-stop link to Cape Town, and although it is an agonizingly long flight it is worth it if you can get yourself in the Premium select or Delta One cabins..
I love they have non stop now. Several years ago when I went we had to stop over in Johannesburg! Was not safe at All!! Next year going back due to the non stop
I hear from my son on this long trip to South Africa's.full plane, who I ask.? Many technical persons in gold and oil!.He is one of many that pilot the air bus!

You're right! I assume it was because this flight was full. With it being a 15hr flight it probably has tons of fuel onboard as well ultimately equaling a long takeoff roll.
I went Miami Atlanta B757 and then Altanta Paris A350. Seats in both planes are not comfortable and the cabin was hot. When arrived I was very tired and was a torture . I do not think was a coincidence the A/C in both planes no were workin properly. Thanks God I returned in Virgin Atlantic this Airline is wonderful, staff at the airport and in the plane was helpfull and very Polite always with a very nice smile.
It has something to do with their new sustainability initiative. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly they’ve opted for the new amenity kit and got rid of the Tumi one.
As much as I love getting awesome amenity kits nowadays are all basic all I need is hand lotion and chapstick the rest get thrown away. Wish airlines would just pass a basket where I can just select what I need. Don’t need socks, eye masks, most of these items get thrown away.
thnx. Delta has no international First class cabin....anymore. Meal looked horrorful and so primitive. No restaurant service. Everything on one tray!. What a run down company. Air France in LA PREMIERE FIRST CLASS is so elegant and chic compared to Delta. Even the champagne was a cheap product on Delta Hopefully you could enjoy good times in Capetown. Not an easy city these days
