Using items for boss fights is something i highly recommend. It made the fight much faster to deal with. Thanks for this awesome tips. I'm really enjoying my first 1st playthrough.
It's probably is the best use of the item since those fights tend to last the longest, but the game feel pretty easy so far even with difficulty set on hard.

This is a great video and you have great tips! But the ??? Seeds are different, I noticed. I kept getting Hawkeye class change items at first, so one time, I saved to see if I could get something different. The other item seeds are not set in stone, I noticed. However, the ??? Seeds are and will give you the same item when planted. I can't say how this works for sure, but I think once a ??? Seed is about to go into your inventory, it randomly selected what item it gives you and then locks it in place. This is then repeated for the others too. I don't know if the planter level has anything to do with the luck there, but holding on to the ??? Seeds won't change what they have turned into.

Who on earth decided that it was a good idea to give "stand ground" exclusively to hawkeye ? It isn't even befitting of a thief skill. With duran's "charger", "defensive" and "counter" skills it would work so much better for him. It's like they're being annoying on purpose.
I have questions. How do i keybind the abilities so i don't use Q? I've gotten half way through the game and I'm still forced to click Q+1 for a move duran does in combat. Can I change that to just 1,2,3, instead of holding Q and stretching my fingers?
Can you give me a little info on the gear screen? What do those numbers at the left bottom of the screen mean for weapons, armor, etc.? My 1st time with this type of game. Would appreciate any other info you have on the gear

Like in Super Metroid, I don’t use like default control scheme in Trials of Mana, both this 3D version and the original 2D version. I swap the Weak Attack button with the Evade button. This is to make it traditional action control scheme. In the original 2D version, I use the Y button for attack and A button for menu.
This game i so fucking easy and dumb that tips arent needed. The only tips needed are the damm ????Seeds thats it, This game is not hard, is not challenging, is super linear, there are no sidequest, yet this is game from the Golden Age of jrpg? I call That Bullshit.

It's amazing how the gameplay has been preserved over the years. It seems like the biggest complaint about this game is the camera angles. Good vid.
The game has had an amazing legacy, especially for how old it is. Fun game!

First i use Duran,Riesz,andAngela. My next run Kevin,Hawkeye,andCharlotte
I did kevin Reisz and Charlotte. Kevin dark/dark with the other 2 going light... buff kevin and MELT EVERYTHING

Beastman45 Games If you wanted Riese with you when you fight the Crab Boss then you must put her in the 2nd slot and Charlotte goes in the 3rd slot.
