I've been 1st on the waiting list for this exact boat at my local dealership since June. Still waiting for delivery...can't wait to get on the water. Here's to hoping it ships soon.
If you get one of these, you likely wont need to get another boat in your life. Yamaha’s will be reliable forever. As long as you’re not serious wake surfers or need to battle rough seas, this will be the ticket for sure.
Been dominating the entire Boating Industry for so long now it really is laugh out loud funny. Everyone falls over themselves to become a Dealer these Platforms sell so fast.
BoatTest : when will you test the AR250 ? It is the best bang for your buck and it is considerably lighter so faster probably close to the older one like I have and I'm curious the see the difference...
Stand in line..delivery in late 2023 if you're lucky. Dealers near me (Las Vegas,AZ,UT) aren't even returning phone calls because they have no stock and have no delivery dates.
A 2018 ar240 was tested to do 0-30 in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 51.8mph, this boat was 8.3 sec and 43mph? Why does the slight size difference affect the performance so dramatically?
Hull design makes a huge difference in handling, sometimes at the loss of speed. Additional bow weight would typically cause the stern to sit lower in the water at wot, unless the “pad” of the boat was widened - which would cause additional drag.
43 is terrible beyond slow ... Imagine with a full tank of fuel and 3 couples on board in some real water what a pig... Twin supercharged motors need to be in here it’s long overdue. These video great but never point of the negative... That plastic shroud behind the steering wheel look super cheap and flimsy... As he was docking you can hear the steering wheel squeaking that’s an absolute shame... 70gal fuel tank much better than previous models... The price isn’t worth it just for some new colors and little updates here n there... 25ft awesome start but more fuel More engines TWIN SUPERCHARGER” and this boat will be a winner again... if you want to reply to this comment and bring up that 27ft nonsense you know nothing about boating and yamahas marketing team sold you a dream get a real boat at that point... Love you all stay safe and respect your fellow boater ✌🏽
From my research, looks like the same tech and they've even added the Drive technology to the 25's which is a game changer in my opinion. The 27's do have the hard bimini.
No problem in salt at all! They’re the same motors they put in waverunners. There’s a Yamaha group that takes these from Florida to Bahamas every year. Obviously the larger the boat is the better they do in open seas but they do fairly well.
Salt water fine. But it’s still a bowrider so I’d keep it out of heavy waves unless you’re a really experienced boater with big waves. Time it wrong in heavy waves and you could have the bow scoop a nice pile of water. I have a 242 S but I can’t imagine the extra 3 feet length is a game changer on a rough day.
Isn’t this the exact same video that was out 2 months ago. No new information and I hope that is not the real top speed. Need to add a sho or svho option to the non wake 25 foot lineup.
@@pugbongo Not sure , some one on Facebook has a 2021 252se said he can't get it over 44. Im in the market for a new boat , pissed off this new model doesn't go over 52 . 2019 and 20 . No problem. Reconsidering getting this model. Jet boaters want adrenaline SPEED
On the forums (jetboaters) there’s people saying they got close to 50. Do the ribbon delete and their thinking they’ll be over 50. Not sure what to think either as I sold a AR210 (underpowered) and have a AR250 on order. I hope it’s around 50. I’ll be pissed if it’s 43. Doesn’t sound like it is though.
I thought those engines look weird.. they dont look like the regulars HO.. and i agree the top speed is horrible. But i've seen other yamahas 25 doing 50 mph easy with dual 1.8 HO
@@Dr.Kim1979 i have not seen a true on the water review for this model yet but there is a few out there with good info. I went by the dealer sunday and saw all the 2021 line up. AR250 is good but bare bone in upgrades.. if you dont mind the bells and whistles this is the boat for you. They all use the 1.8 HO exept the 255XD that uses the 1.8 SVHO.(54 mph top speed) Performance whise you are looking to around 48 mph.. might hit 50 with few people and little fuel on perfect water condition. Please keep in mind that the biggest change for this year and best selling point is that the hull is deeper and designed for rougher water conditions.. before people will be afraid to go out on this boats beacuse they where NOT designed for open water.. well this year the 25 feet line up is.. saw them next to the 21 foot and they look like monsters. I personally loved the 252SE the more luxurious fit and finish, upgraded electronics, premium sound system, larger bimini with solar panel drove me crazy. Also remember that if performance is an issue for you these are the perfect engines to upgrade to stage 1 with turbos...the bigger SVHO had rumors of giving supercharger issues. Cant wait to get mine and take a trip to the bahamas ! Good luck ! ruclips.net/video/N5cyey0ftqE/видео.html
Buddy your price is with tax included. You cannot get a 25 foot 2021 boat that gives you all these features and handling. I searched, find me a better boat in that price range 25- 30 feet. ? Doesn't exist
If only Yamaha would put a 300 hp outboard on this thing in replace of the jet drives . The dual jet drives are not showing performance numbers you would expect on a 500 hp total out put vessel . Just my opinion .
Always amazed at the lack of efficiency of these jet boats. 360hp and just over 40mph. Then the only good thing about a jet boat...the ability to spin it out and lose grip on the water...they’ve eliminated by design !! 😳
1) no you can’t spin out a 25’ jet boat. 2) it’s friggin super dangerous to try. 3) it’s awful on the drive shafts. I have 22’3” supercharged vortex JB and I can’t spin it out…and I’d NEVER try
In many ways, this is a much better deal than the 275sd. More range, same features, nearly the same room...
Fantastic.
And a lot less $$$
Boat of the year 2021. Cant get any boat better , with all these amenities at this price point. I've researched them all.
I’m inclined to agree. Yamaha offers more bang per buck than anyone else in the industry and it’s not even close.

Dr. Doug Miller congratulations Dr Doug! Very exciting and hoping for a soon delivery!
Great boat and great review. I wish they made the boat (colors, and audio) more customizable.
at least the colors
This is the boat I'm trying to convince my wife we need! I like the way these boats look, even the old 242S.

I took her to see a 242 at the local boat show last year. She liked everything except for the lack of a "real" bathroom (head)!

Not so much with outboards and inboards. They defo don’t dominate there currently. They are years behind in tech with outboards now.
Best review yet! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
😍😍😍 That's a lovely boat. Wish I lived somewhere in the world where boat ownership made sense.
