- Yamaha is stepping it up, both in size and in luxury appointments on their new 275SD. She represents several firsts for Yamaha: first 27'(8.23 m) model, first model to have dual 1.8-liter SVHO supercharged marine jet-drive engines and the first with Yamaha’s new advanced technology -- the Yamaha DRiVE Control system.

This seems exceptionally engineered and will be a great buy for the second owner after few years used.
instaBlaster.
Good looking boat and great options new. All these 12-15 used boats are in the same price range.
Your reviews are thorough and very informative. Please include prices for those of us who might be interested. Thanks.
Did I miss it or did you never tell us how much it costs?
What a beautiful boat, should be 200K plus
around 150k
They're actually around 120k if you negotiate with your dealer.
Can you tint the glass so the uv doesn't come through?
Yes, you can.
wouldn't it make more sense to have to paddle shifters mounted on the steering column instead of the steering wheel so that you always have the left paddle on the left and the right on right, and you don't have to fight trying to figure out which is which when docking
No, not at all the paddle shifters allow you to control speed and RPM when you’re standing and staring the boat!
I love everything about this boat except the design of the super ugly side windows and how they meet the windshield. If yamaha would re design those windows this boat would look so much better.
Can you tow this boat w/o special permits?
no.. too wide
No reverse?
Has reverse.
No grill 0or stove, no table for the popa!?
I would definitely install an after market grill if I bought one.
Nice boat but uses too much gas for not so much performance...jets are not at all efficient
wrong hybred éltric jeys
I own a 2005 SX230 with 140hp per engine and I get consistently 50MPH with only one mod which is stainless steel solaris impellers.
This new 275SD has a total 500HP and does the same top speed??? I was sure it would do at least 55MPH
While the 275 is only 4 foot longer, it's much wider and weighs almost twice as much as the SX230. So the top speed makes sense.
Remove the LoL?
Makes sense
Am I the only one who things that's the ugliest wide frame/window design?
50mph for a jet boat is slow! Anything under 85mph for a jet boat is an embarrassment!
wtmroñg
Jet boats are known for acceleration and handling. Jet drives are very inefficient for top speed though. For higher top speeds, propeller driven boats are always better but at the sacrifice of acceleration. Ever wonder way a Jet boat with 1000 hp does maybe 80 mph but take the same boat and put an outdrive with a propeller on it and it would likely be a 120 mph boat? Yeah Jet drives waste a ton of power.
Looks like a whole lot of stuff to break, go bad, and maintain. So what do you do with this boat? Drive fast to a sand bar and drink in comfort. Sorry, not my kind of boat.
No need for Japanese products.
They are made in Tennessee! Buy American!
Hooray for you.
I hate to say it but Japanese engineering has far surpassed American capability. Every Japanese product I’ve owned and used is world class.
@@booya6437That is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. American engineering is on par if not more advanced than Japanese engineering.
