Cool boat but the price on these things is getting out of hand. Just a few years ago you could get Yamaha’s bigger 242x (now 255x) for the same price. This one probably has better tech features but still…

Oh come on, I'm sure Captain Steve is a pro surfer. 🤣🤔😎
Great review I miss Capt Steve but you did him proud. Beautiful boat
What happened to Captain Steve?
How did Yamaha managed to drop mpg to 2.1 from 3.1 on older models?.. Price goes up and mpg goes down is new yamaha logo
When will yamaha add adjustable trim?
What is the difference between wake edition and regular? Ive never owned a boat and Im looking at yamaha as a first time boater.
@Jcross17 hey just ran across your comment. Wake edition has ballast bags that take in water to weigh the boat down and get you a better/bigger wake. The XD version It also has the same tech package as the SD non-wake equivalent, as well as a unique color scheme.
Nice
I figured top speed would be higher with a combined 360 horsepower but the tested weight was up there.
How much is it 18 thousand dollars
My complaint is top speed is slow I have a 195s and I love it but it’s too slow for what they cost 255xd is fastest I think but double the cost
how maintence on these in purely salt water application? i heard they can't be in the water for more than 3-4 days
Im no expert but Ive seen similar things to what you said. IMO if I were in a saltwater-only area, Id skip it and get something with a reliable Yamaha OB. Unless your sole intention is to use it as a surf boat, in which case there are many better options (used) for the same price that throw a much bigger wave.
@@carguyeyedoc thank you so much. i was thinking exactly the same. i love the rear seating area for entertaining etc, but i have no problem looking for just a traditional OB for your exact reasons. i live in north florida. i was looking at key west and robalos in the 18-23 ft range.
Please correct the technical details... 22 ft is around 6 meters.. not 18... :)
Pure BEV just entering this the World's largest Boating Market but specifically Florida only right now.
Your numbers make no sense. 22' is not 18.58 meters. 18.5 meters is closer to 60' than 22. All of your metric dimensions are way off.
R.I.P. captain Steve
What's that mean? What happened to Capt Steve???
First !
Always great reviews !
If you're not using a remote kill switch (not just for the pilot, but for everyone) then I don't know what to tell you other than to very, very quickly evolve gills.
COPYCAT Of Sea Ray SLX 260🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yeah, except they are nothing alike. Other than they are both boats. 🤣
