Tip: When you get home, before starting any homework, look through all the notebooks you had that day and read the last lesson or learn it (learn the lesson if its for harder classes, or read it more times to have the idea of what’s going on). This way, when you have an upcoming exam and you are learning, it will be easier since you learnt this in the past.

I’m the same, Maths and related subjects were my strongpoint but I always thought I was horrible at English. All thought out 5th and 6th year I got 50’s in my English exams. But I ended up getting a 74% or h3 without even doing the unseen poetry question. Maybe I just got a good examiner or my grades were marked tougher by my teachers trying to get me to study, so don’t lose hope for English just yet😃

I live in Germany and I am gonna start the equivalent to 5th year in the end of August. In my county secondary schools don't exactly have a difference between HL and OL but in 5th and 6th you have two subjects that are your focus subjects. That means you have them 5 hours per week instead of 3 and the exams are longer. Furthermore, the grades you archieve count twice so if you archieve 13 points (15 points is the highest score you can get) in your focus subject you have collected 26 LC points. All the points you score in the two semesters of 5th year, the first semester of 6th year and in the leaving cert exams make up your final leaving cert score. I think I am most worried for my maths exams cause I am not that good at Maths....
I always liked bullet journaling, I'd get a journal, make it all artsy and fun for one day, and then never touch it again. I'm only productive for a short amount of time; it's when I have those "productive sparks". I'm better being productive on digital stuff.

I am going into 6th year and do physics and it becomes so much easier if you learn how to use the formula book. Most of the definitions in physics are just the formulas but in words (there are a few you'll have to learn off but they are there for the most part). If you can do simple enough algebra (as in just moving letters across the equals sign) and you are able to solve problems, there isn't actually that much theory. I'd advise choosing it but that's just because I find it interesting but if you like learning how things work you'll enjoy physics even if you do ordinary level maths
Angelina 17 they don’t unless you’re applying to an English University, then they treat them like the GCSE’s (I think) and they don’t affect your leaving but if you fail a subject, some schools make you do ordinary level

DjoG universities like Oxford & Cambridge have started taking applications for 2020 and the deadline is around October. It’s simple. You have to create a UCAS account, have a personal statement ready to go (usually 4000 characters), ask one of your teachers to be your referee and they must also provide a reference including your predicted grades and the rest is basically personal information. On UCAS, just like CAO, you have a maximum of 5 courses to fill in from different universities. For Oxford specifically, you have to sit an exam for some courses i.e engineering and you’ll be invited for an interview if you succeed on the exam. You have to be very careful when filling in courses because some courses can also require you to prepare a portfolio as well. If you want to apply to Oxford, you should start now. You don’t want to miss the deadline like me🥺🤗

Didnt study for my LC and im fine XD and i highly recommend taking russian it could save you the same way romanian did for me.
