I was personally devastated with mine a few years ago, I did really badly, but ended up doing an access course for a year and am now heading into my third year of my dream course, (which is English!) so where there's a will there's a way! Loved what you said about having drive and how everything falls into place, because it definitely will.
You'll love college, English is an amazing subject to study, and you'll meet the best people from all walks of life! It's all onwards and upwards from here, good luck! Xxx

Know how you feel, I got a C2 in English in the mocks, teacher said I was capable of getting B3, got a D2 in the Lc, so disappointed- don't know where I went wrong :( Congrats on your results!

TheLegend 27 From a person that is doing the leaving Cert this year in order to achieve a good leaving cert you must study every single night from now on don't wait till 2 months left to start studying because you'll be under a lot of exam pressure and that's the worst thing to be on because with all that pressure in your head you're not able to think straight which can result to stress making you to fail your exams, so please from one student to another study as best you can, get all the help you need, put in the work, Focus in class, study the extra Hour if you need to and give it 120% because this is an unforgettable opportunity to leave your mark and show your parents the people around you the work, hours and the sleepless nights you have put it because trust me it will all be worth it at the end:)
The worst thing that could ever happen is your principal telling you on results that that you're "capable of doing better" so please give it your best shot👍 hopes this helped :)
What did you get in Irish? I'm dreading higher Irish not doing well in it at all and there's so much work for it!! Congrats btw. Hope your enjoying maynooth!!

How did it go? I want to do arts at Maynooth too but I'm so nervous about the points going up so high. My goal before the leaving cert was 450 and now it's just to go into my course, even if that means 350 :P
First of congrats on your results secondly junior cert was so easy what's leaving cert like and thirdly you have one the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen
Aw thank you, that is so kind of you. Eh to be honest, the LC was just a slightly scarier Junior Cert. I was very stressed coming up to the exams but once they started I wasn't too worried about it. At the end of the day, you get the results from the work you put in so you shouldn't be too disappointed. Best of luck in any exams you do in the future! 💜

Rachael Williams omg don't worry at all! It's all about taking it one step at a time. You can easily make up for the work you didn't do in fifth in the fist few weeks of 6th year. Had my biology exam today and I'm pretty sure I failed it :( it went awfully wrong for me. I'm not counting it as one of my subjects so it doesn't affect my chances of getting my course or anything like that but it still really bothers me.. Do u think I should be worried about it or no?
Naoise, I was the exact same with Biology last year. I was actually heartbroken coming out of that exam but honestly just forget about it. I spent so many nights worrying about french and biology for nothing really. It's over now so just try and concentrate on the rest of the exams. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your exams and results. You'll get where you want to be no matter what 💜 X

Rachel can you please give me some advice for 5th year please and how was your leaving cert ? Do we have to go to college directly after you finish leaving cert (6th year) or do we have to do Plc corse and all ? What can you do if you don't get enough marks for leaving cert that you're aiming for ? Do you have to do the leaving cert again or is there another way or course to gain the other points that you want ?
+unaty gurung Hi Unaty! Fifth year is a really important year, its where the majority of your work for the LC gets covered. So my advice, study from the beginning. And no, you don't have to go to college straight away, a few of my friends took a year out to work, others did I plc to try out a course. If you don't get enough marks it not the end of the world, be smart filling out your cao and you will end up in a course you enjoy. You DO NOT have to do the LC again, just do a plc or start at a level 6/7 and make your way up to a level 8 (college). Don't worry too much about it now! When you turn 23 you don't even need good results on your leaving cert because you can get in as a mature student. Also by the time you are 23 you will have a way better understanding of college and your life so the years won't go to waste compared to people going straight after leaving cert who go for a good time.

I have my junior cert in like a week and a half i think. and I havent even begun to study. Literally freaking out. I passed everything with night before cramming but i got all d's and c's except cspe. I need help, has anyone got any good advice that they would suggest. Im okay for irish(grind) and art is out of the picture. REALLY WORRIED about maths, french, history and science

+DylBurt You will be fine don't worry. You just need to put your head down from now on, cut down how much you use the internet and do exam papers. Practice different questions and you will be okay! I promise. (good luck btw! X)

I wouldn't worry too much about it! Like you said, you're only in 5th year so just try your best but don't get too consumed by it all. You will be fine! X
