Can I just say that I'm so glad you chose to set everything in a bayou! I have never seen someone do that and I'm so happy you used it at all! But I wonder where their moonstone/moonpool would be. If you could answer that would be great!
Wow I'm replying SO late forgive me 💀 my memory of this story is fuzzy but I believe their moonstone/pool equivalent was an extremely thick area of the bayou that was always shrouded in mist. The leader was never accompanied by a med cat. They'd walk in to the mist, walk past rocks and trees that seemed identical, until they eventually reached a clearing. Misty apparitions of past cats would appear to give them their lives. The leader would walk away in any direction and emerge the same exact spot they entered. The world and story never got fully fleshed out.
