As nice as life can sometimes be, it can just as well be cruel, and the whole world can turn around in just a blink of an eye.
I have no idea what to write here actually? I'm exhausted after this, I have to admit. Working on this day after day was indeed tiring, but hey! It's here! I'm really glad to finally have it done! I had this idea in my head for a whole year now, and I'm glad that I actually did something like this. I never thought I'd be motivated enough to do a whole 3 minutes long PMV.
Well um I might do a little story summary actually since the video might a bit confused to catch up on :")
Amber and her brother Sven were born as Rogues to Lizard and Rattle. As carefree as kits are, they didn't see anything bad coming. Unfortunately for them, Rattle had different plans. He wanted them all dead. Successfully killing both Lizard and Sven, he had only Amber to kill, but before he can a lightning strikes the barn, setting it on fire. Assuming that Amber being injured will not make it out of the barn in time, he leaves her behind and runs away. Amber barely makes it out of the barn and is found by WindClan who take her to the camp and name her one of them.
Many moons later, a group wanders around on the edge WindClan's territory, causing danger to patrols passing by. Ashtail, the WindClan's deputy, talks about it with the leader, Hailstar. Little do they know that Ambersnout's curious ears catch their conversation. In Ashtail's description, she catches a cat that resembles her father, Rattle. She goes out on a journey to find him, leaving her WindClan life behind. This however worries her mate, Birchcreek. After a few days, Ambersnout finally manages to find Rattle a bit outside the clans territories. Going into a blind rage and need for revenge, she kills him before he realizes who even attacked him. Birchcreek, worried sick, finds her mate and is petrified at a sight of Ambersnout's bloodied fur and a dead body laying in front of her. She tries to carefully walk away but as unfortunate as it is, a branch that fell under pressure of the rain finds itself under her paws and snaps at the worst moment. Ambersnout, still not really back to herself, sees her from behind the bushes. She blindly chases Birchcreek through the forest. She finally gets to herself and wants to stop, but gets caught in a fox trap. Birchcreek watches as her mate chokes and bleeds out on the cold ground.
At Ambersnout's final moments, her brother Sven, along with other StarClan cats, appear. Convinced that Amber will go to StarClan, Birchcreek doesn't bother doing anything and watches Ambersnout's spirit ascend, only to see it pulled back into the ground. Staring blankly at the ground, Birchcreek slowly realizes what has just happened. Ambersnout has been sent to The Place of No Stars. But there's one thing not quite right...

Oooh the zooming in on Ambersnout’s closed eye after she was caught in the fox trap was so good. I totally expected her eye to open, especially with all the visible tension in her face with her scrunched muzzle and furrowed brow, but no. In the next shot she’s limp with her spirit rising from her body. Gosh I love that so much
This is absolutely stunning!
It's interesting how the cats can see the spirits going either to StarClan or the Dark Forest, that's such an interesting way to interpret that! Though, tbh, I think Rattle deserved what he got... Justice for Ambersnout
I feel like in wc if the cat deserved to be killed, they still should’ve gone to StarClan.

Amber didn't deserve it 😭 that's a very interesting story, I like how they can see them go to the darkforest or starclan, it's an itresting concept. I was not prepared for how good this video was when I clicked on it 💖 I paused iit on the last frame and.. its quite interesting
Ambersnout even if you kill a murderer... The number of murderers doesn't change.
My opinion now~ man when I saw the PMV for the first time i swear i was scared! I thought Ambersnout was going to StarClan! But it wasn't and she went to Dark Forest is what the PMV surprise is!

Okay but why would she go to the Dark Forest for killing a murderer? If you're killing evil then you're in the right. From how you described it too, Amber didn't realize who she was chasing when she went after Birch, so it wouldn't be that either. 😮
When you kill a murderer, the number of murderers in the world remains the same.
I imagine that was StarClan's reasoning but let's face it, they were always hypocrites.
THIS LOOKS AMAZING! I really love how despite this being a pmv, all the characters look so alive and have loads of personality!

This is beautiful, genius even. I know the struggles of planning something like this out- however I've never done any of them because I just lost motivation! Good on you for not loosing it completely, I come to tell you that it came out wonderful!

This is incredible, I cant describe just how much I love and adore your art style, as well as the character designs in this! Both Birchcreek and Ambersnout are so so pretty. I love how you draw ears, eyes, and paws- it's everything I hope to someday achieve! And the story behind this is super intriguing, I'm curious as to what comes next for Ambersnout! I also wonder why Rattle had to kill his mate and kittens in the first place, maybe to secure his spot in whatever group he's in?
Bingo! Rattle was in a small group of rouges, that were usually pretty hostile. He was allowed to have feelings for someone, but becoming mates and having kits would turn his attention to them (probably). He had mates before, but was forced to get rid of them or leave them to keep up good reputation and stay focused. However, the fact that Lizard gave birth to his kits could've ruin this, and he had to get rid of them the other way.
I love how the crack part lined up with Birchcreek stepping on the stick!

RUclips seemed to delete one of your replies, but I think you asked if Amber and Rattle ever met in the df? Yes, they did, but they didn't fight there. Ambersnout got what she wanted and had no interest in fighting with him again, so both of them just moved on, not really bothering to talk to each other.
As for this question, I had someone ask it before, so I'm just going to paste this here:
