- Cassandra Kiramman was the matriarch of House Kiramman, a member of Piltover's Council and is the mother of Caitlyn. Tobias Kiramman is the husband of Councilwoman Cassandra Kiramman and Caitlyn's father.
Vi and Caitlyn sneak into the latter's bedroom through the window. Mrs. Kiramman kicks the door down, pointing a rifle at the pair as if she was expecting intruders, but is surprised to find Caitlyn instead. Mr. Kiramman embraces his daughter, relieved to see her safe. Mrs. Kiramman asks to speak to Caitlyn in private.
Tobias begins to remove the shrapnel from Caitlyn's leg. Cassandra reprimands Caitlyn for her recklessness, but Caitlyn admonishes her mother, a councilor, for her role in creating the squalid conditions she witnessed in Zaun. After some convincing, Mrs. Kiramman agrees to allow Caitlyn and Vi to make their case before the Council.

If you look at kat and her mom and some other hints in the show it’s possible that her family came from Ionia before the city was founded and Ionia has many matriarchal groups so it makes sense her family is women oriented

I find it so interesting and cool how caitlyn is the heart of the story, the moral voice, the one who has the most love (in season 1) and cares about people the most. A role typical played by a woman, and she gets all her traits from her dad, a man. Caitlyn’s family is flipped on it head with the mum doing the kicking the door in with the gun and is a politician while the dad runs for a hug and cares for his daughter’s injuries. Its such a nice twist on the stereotypical family dynamic. (This point was originally made by Schnee on RUclips)

@shamrock141 still it is a very complete 180 from everything she stood for before. I understand somewhat but she basically becomes everything she hated before. I think it's a pretty extreme transformation all things considered

This is why I wasn't as big a fan of season 2. There should have been wayyy more backlash of Caitlyn, daughter of council member and head of military, siding with VI, from the undercity, to protect her and her criminal sister that killed council members that she swore she would catch and turn in, but chose not to. I love Arcane, but season 2 writing was very lack luster and should have explored way more than they did, along with Powder and Ekko.
I really really wished they explored Caitlyn's trauma in detail... like they did eith Jinx.
I also really missed the Cair and Jayce bonding scenes...
But i guess we can't have it all :')
