    As with your first recipe, layering cheese, tomatoes, etc. then putting egg over it to cook, sometimes I just use leftover egg whites. Since I can't eat wheat, I use low-carb tortillas (for the bread part) as you did in a later recipe. These are all great ideas and we appreciate the time you take to film the videos. I'm going to freeze some eggs and make "fried egg chips" to make for a snack. You make cooking fun!

    Everyone probably knows this trick, but for those who don't, here goes! Have trouble peeling the shells from the hard boiled eggs? Add a generous amount of salt at the beginning with the water, and its like magic! 99 % of the time the egg shells slide off easy. I think the only time I got grief with peeling an egg, the egg was older, and tougher. Otherwise, no problem. Try it out. Also, thanks for your show, I love it and look forward to many more!

    Here in the States we have a potato ricer. A vastly larger version of the same method as a garlic press. Boiled and softened potatoes (and ahem hard boiled eggs) can be put through this device, making the same riced potatoes or riced eggs - rather than the meat grinder (and more cleanup).

    • @missmerrily4830
      @missmerrily4830 5 месяцев назад +1

      Lol, believe it or not, potato ricers are very well known in Europe. And Julia Childs apparently acquired her first one in Germany in the 1950s, though I read online that the first one was produced very late in the 19th century and a patent was first issued in the 1920s. I can't see that an electric meat grinder is a lot more work to clean than a ricer, either, myself. I guess that, as with most kitchen equipment, what's useful for one cook, doesn't work so well for another! Ricers are definitely the go-to for lump free mashed potato though! 👍

      @johnlord8337 5 месяцев назад

      @@missmerrily4830 ricers are 2 pieces, less expensive, light, easy to wash, and hang up to air dry - than hanging up multiple large machine pieces. Also we are talking of using a potato ricer for making riced hard boiled eggs which can get quite messy and gooey.

    I would love a video of quick breakfasts in the mornings, like ten minutes or less prep time, either in the microwave or on stove top. We need some time savers in the mornings. Also another video of quick dinner preparations for the work week, with maybe some prep work over the weekends and then mix and cook or reheat on the weekdays? Thank you!
