People who always say "just kidding" after every little "joke" is passive aggressive. They meant what they said but wanna say it in a joking manner so they get away with it, no matter how rude it is.
Me too. Although I do think I'd feel fine getting roasted by my immediate family. It doesn't really matter what bad things they might think of me because we all love each other and are really close, so any insults from them don't really stick with me. I don't have any friends that I'm close with enough to do the whole roast thing with though. I don't know if I'd trust that they were seriously just joking and didn't mean it. Maybe it just depends on how close and comfortable you are with someone and also how sensitive you are.
Sherry Shavon you're right because people dig reallllll deep into their inner thoughts to express how they really feel about you. i couldn't take a roast. Ive already been bullied before lol
Roasting as it's advantages and disadvantages but at the end it depends on how the person takes in all the words that the other person said there are ppl who are half hearted and won't care and others who can hold it for a very long time and even point it out to you at random times... I like watching it but I wouldn't like someone roasting me and at the same time I'm curious as to what others ( fam and friends) think of me ..
I remember on Tia & Tamera, when Tia said that Tamera talks like a Valley Girl, and then went on to impersonate her, Tamera took that to heart! Lol! Tamera is sensitive when it comes to jokes.
Point blank and the period, most people who throw the most shade usually are the ones they can't handle it! #Boom They do quite a bit of shading towards Jeannie, but let Jeannie say something slick at the mouth, then they look like they're ready to beat her up! #Ijs All in all I believe they do share a genuine love for one another. On the other hand, there's a difference between joking with someone, and making every joke on their expense. Some jokes ppl can take toooooo far.
YAAAAAAASSSS! *applause* Just with the Jeannie though. She DOES talk slick, especially in the first season. The thing is now is that they ALWAYS call her on it. And I love Jeannie! I first saw/learned who she was on the now-defunct, Style Network where she did a show like the Fashion Police. She does talk a bit reckless, but I truly believe it's "diarrhea at the mouth". I don't really think she has latent meaning with what she says. She IS quick and funny, sometimes, not so much... but I wish she could say more things along those lines without any drama! :)
I agree with Jeannie on this one they need get to get a sense of humor it's OK to play around and roast with your friends and family members they're taking it way to serious
Tasha Harris Agreed. But unlike Tamera, I believe that the person trying to roast you and joke with you is DIFFERENT and relatively HARMLESS compared to the person actually trying to shade you and demean you.
Tasha Harris Agreed. But unlike Tamera, I believe that the person trying to roast you and joke with you is DIFFERENT and relatively HARMLESS compared to the person actually trying to shade you and demean you.
Here's my problem with sarcasm. NOT EVERYONE GETS IT. People need to understand that what you say may not sound the way you mean it someone else. If you need to say something, just say it "straight." I feel like sarcasm is better used with your close friends and the people who know you well enough to know when you're joking or being serious. My close friends and I diss and make fun of each other all the time and it's not a problem at all because we know when it's a joke and when it's serious. I feel like sarcasm is a coward's way of telling someone how they truly feel.
L-L-L-L-LIES! I swear, I am SO glad they chose Tamar to be one of the hosts. I never knew of her prior to this show, and it turns out she is hilarious! I love her and what she brings to the table.
I agree with Tay Tay...I don't roast nobody because I don't wanna be roasted! That's not nice. Period point blank! If you have an underlying issue with me then tell me as a friend, but not in front of all of our friends so they can laugh at me because some people take advantage of those roasting sessions and let it all hang out, then some things are revealed that shouldn't have been in the first place. I've seen friendships destroyed because of that. No roasting for me, thank you🙊🙉🙈!
What Tamera said for the most goes along with my thoughts on sarcastic joking. Its a fine line between someone's inner feelings and the reality of the individual being joked about. There is some truth to every joke, I believe that wholeheartedly. I believe that you can say just about anything to anyone as long as you say with it respect. So yes, it is more about how you say it as opposed to what you are saying. *Tone can make a huge difference.* Overall, this is why it is best for people to be *VERY* in tuned with themselves. It is imperative for people to embrace themselves faults and all because once you do that, nothing anyone can say about you sarcastic or not will surprise you or offend you because you'll already know your own truth. I feel like the people who will be offended are the people who haven't accepted and/or embraced the reality of their own selves. Get to know yourself fully. Thats the *only* way to defeat insecurity and prevent people from using it offensively against you. Personally, I wouldnt mind being roasted because chances are I'll already be aware of my own tendencies and if not, then I'll learn/ consider something new which will only benefit me later on if I am to be roasted again. Either way, I win.
Why is Tamar so afraid of being talked about?? I understand the differences of our insecurities and sensibilty, but being THAT afraid when you're the one who loves shading/roating others, just shows how weak you are when it comes to receiving comebacks! Roasting can be fun, especially when you know yourself well and can actually laugh at yourself too! Peace! x
JigglyJello Jay but she doesn't cover ti up though, she has admitted several times that she can dish it but she can't take it. She has also said that she is insecure about things.
Y r u attacking someone for expressing who they are...shows how weak u are that u feel the need to do so when she's clearly ok with sharing this information...she's says it all the time that she's insecure so ur nt saying much and if u reply back it will show how even more weak u are...speaking of dishing but cant take it
Lol, how am I weak? If she can't take it, then she shouldn't begin at first.. Admitting it doesn't help much when she continues to do the same thing. Have a nice weekend :)
Sarcasm shouldn't say just kidding it should be intended...I believe those people weren't being sarcastic, they were being assholes...don't use sarcasm to offend people! It's being missused
Roasts are done properly when people use facts and embellish upon those facts. Roasts are done improperly when people just use it as an excuse to say vicious things about you. Roasts are intended for people to express what they really KNOW about you (facts) -- not what they really THINK about you (opinions). You should walk away from a roast being able to laugh and say "yeah, that's true. I am kinda cheap" or "yeah, that's true. I do get excited over Starbucks." Not walk away feeling like people just stood up and insulted you. Jeannie's example of what her brother said about her was perfect. He took a factual characteristic of Jeannie's and poked fun at it. He didn't insult her or try to humiliate her. People who KNOW you, know where to draw the line.
I liked Tamar's piece of advice:if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything and if you have to say something, it's not about WHAT you say it's about HOW you say it. I think it's very important for parents and even older family members to be especially mindful of how they speak to their children/the youth in the family. Your childhood years are really important as it forms an integral part of your developmental stage into an adult. It plays a huge role in shaping you into the person you become. We should be mindful not only of HOW we speak to them when they're still kids but even as teenagers. When you're a teen you're going through puberty, lot of things are changing, there may be a lot of new insecurities you never had before, etc. There's new challenges in general and family needs to be your support rather nit-picking every fault you have or bringing you down because not only could the child already be doing that to themselves but might be bullied or face that kind of negativity at school daily-and there is so many negative consequences that unfold when a child cannot even feel accepted as themselves at home.
Joking is very touchy thing, especially when it comes to friends because someone always takes it way too far and then loses a friendship. You just have to be careful of what you say and have to know the person you're joking with is a able to dish it and also be able to take it, without getting in their feelings
loni and tamera have the cutest relationship cuz they would be the most unlikely friends in the group but i honestly think theyre actually closer to eachother than anyone else
U can speak about someone's looks in a disrespectful way or like in tamera's example with her and adam..just rude and unnecessary is shade...truth and facts are not shady
+912nelle I do agree with you, but I'm sry Tamar does not always give FACTS...she gives SHADE - that is, she gives her opinion, which sometimes is NOT SPOT ON. She needs to know that she makes assumptions and generalizations about people all the time, and sometimes it might hurt their feelings. I really don't like that she called them FACTS - that offends ME.
I agree with the statement about being able to do it with your close friends because you know at the end of the day they know you’re joking and shows that you understand each other very well.
Tamar know she throws shade daily, at everybody lol. I mean I like Tamar, but truth is, she'd have a ball at someone else's roast and then cry when she gets roasted. If you can dish it, you should be able to take it.
I forgot how funny Loni can be... She needs to do more of that on the show. The exchange between her and Tamar had me dying... Even Tamar wanted to laugh, herself!!!
Once you know yourself and you know your ways and you know how you are you can take a roast from the ppl you love and that love you back, but if your still struggling with insecurities and not sure who you or sensitive or haven't come to terms in accepting your ways then a roast isn't for you , a roast is for people who can laugh at themselves because you know how you can be sometimes. And nobody on that panel can take a roast except for Jeannie! I love you Jeannie your my favorite !
The things is, everybody needs to laugh at themselves and not take everything as an insult! Once you've learned that, you'll be MUCH happier. True story.
Loni: your head not about to fall off Tamar: she is? Girls she's on tight today (patting her wig) here lately only been watching clips with her in them
I had a conversation with a former close friend about something I thought we both mutually disliked ( certain ex-friends being indirect/ general cattiness) and she took offence because she took my opinion as shade towards her. It was shocking because I trusted her with my life, told her everything ,stood by her regardless and thought she trusted me. I'm very upfront person, am passionate and wear my heart on my sleeve to a fault. I have never been the type to vent to, talk to or even smile at people I dislike or distrust 😂😂. At all. Then I found out she had been doing and saying some shadyesqe things behind my back before the conversation occurred. It really messed me up... I think people sometimes get offended by things because they know they are true to their character, even if it isn't aimed at them at all! Personally I love to laugh, especially at myself because it's a part of life you make mistakes and sometimes I am plain silly. I also like when my friends let me know where we stand "on the real"
Loni i need you to choose one definition for "joke on a square" lmaooo you talked about that on another episode and you gave it a whole different meaning. But its ok ima let you live gworl!!
I'd be a good sport during a roast and surprisingly I'm a somewhat decent roaster. I used to be so corny when I was younger but my impersonations are always on point. Haha
Loni "You have shaded me plenty of times..." Tamar: "NO, I have given you FACTS." OH SNAP LMFAO i can't with them
Beyoncé hey
Beyoncé yesss
"I'm not shady to my friends" "You have been shady to me several time Tamar" LMFAO
Her sisters are just as shady
She probably doesn’t consider them her friends.
Beth Grace she was talking about them when she said it lmao
💀
😂
When Tamar said she ain't shady towards her friends it got hella quiet in that audience 😂
😂 'I give facts'
lmaoooo 😂
LOL... because everyone is guilty of that
When loni tried to impersonate Tamar...I was cracking up laughing
Official ChristinaSumner finally somebody did it and it was hilarious 😂
I died 😂
Sameee 😂😂
Tears were streaming down my face! It was hysterical!
I did too! 😂😂😂😂
I love how Loni called Tamar out immediately.
"we ain't talking about Tamar's flaws LLLLL...LIES!" DEAD😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅
I died and was cremated.
Mariah Muniz that was Mt favorite part. hilarious. frkn live Tamar
I laugh the rest of the video after she said that. It's not what she said it's how she said it. I miss Tamar.
@@stephenanderson1594 she was on Wendy Williams' video today
I laughed my ass off when Loni mocked Tamar!
I was on the floor... too funny...LIES
me too! lmfaooo
+Brandon Hunter Me three.
That was to funny
Me too!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
*Loni* "Like we all go *LIES!*, like you do or (moves like tamar)"
*Tamar* "Ooo You tried it" lmao
omg i ammmm cryingggggg, i keep replaying it
People who always say "just kidding" after every little "joke" is passive aggressive. They meant what they said but wanna say it in a joking manner so they get away with it, no matter how rude it is.
Elizabeth Taylor Agreed 100%
I used to do that! Haha I wanted to just mess around with them but had to say just kidding in case they got offended.
true
true..im very passive aggressive...
I agree with you.
I don't want to be roasted. Roast bring out what people really think of you.
Me too. Although I do think I'd feel fine getting roasted by my immediate family. It doesn't really matter what bad things they might think of me because we all love each other and are really close, so any insults from them don't really stick with me.

Same thing for me. Only my immediate family can roast me. NO ONE else! XD

Point blank and the period, most people who throw the most shade usually are the ones they can't handle it! #Boom
They do quite a bit of shading towards Jeannie, but let Jeannie say something slick at the mouth, then they look like they're ready to beat her up! #Ijs

"Lu-lu-lu-lu-LIES!!" Tamar got me dead af with that 😂😂

Is it shady for me to say Tamar is the Shade Queen?
Nooooo
yes
She throws reasonable shade
Jeannie seems like the person who would enjoy a good Purge lol...
😂😂😂😂
FACTS 😂😂💯💯
I agree with Jeannie on this one they need get to get a sense of humor it's OK to play around and roast with your friends and family members they're taking it way to serious
Sometimes people say stuff and really mean it so its all about how they say like Tamera said

Big Z thats why you to watch their tone of voice but i think roasting should be just family or close friends because then you know its harmless.
same

I agree man that's real talk
I have come to the conclusion that at most half the population understands sarcasm and the other half don’t understand it.

"Don't say anything about a person that they can't change" is a good rule to keep in mind.
L-L-L-L-LIES! I swear, I am SO glad they chose Tamar to be one of the hosts. I never knew of her prior to this show, and it turns out she is hilarious! I love her and what she brings to the table.

When you're really good at sarcasm, you don't even need to say that you were joking; people will just know.
Rebby Cooper agreed
Right
You borderline tried it!
Tamera: Was that a shade?
LOL! So cute!
Stephanie Pierre she's such a pure soul. i love it!
If someone looks seriously hurt by what you said then you should stop joking, thats borderline bullying.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Omg...Lonnie impersonation of Tamar 😂😂😂😂😂
Aw! The pregnant scoot at the end to give the hug was nice haha

"L-l-l-l-lies!" omg Tamar 😂😂👍
LMAO dead at Loni's impression of Tamar bahaha
I agree with Jeannie. It's better when the person knows you because then they know what NOT to joke about.
L-l-l-l-lies 😂😂 loveeeee Tamar
"borderline tried it" lmao
Tamera is so right! its not about what you say, its how you say it! I just love her lol
Why is Tamar so afraid of being talked about?? Roasting can be fun, especially when you know yourself well and can actually laugh at yourself too!
Peace! x
La Merveille shes highly insecure and she covers it up by being the loudest in the room and pointing out other peoples flaws
JigglyJello Jay but she doesn't cover ti up though, she has admitted several times that she can dish it but she can't take it. She has also said that she is insecure about things.
Well, then she needs to be quiet.

Sarcasm shouldn't say just kidding it should be intended...I believe those people weren't being sarcastic, they were being assholes...don't use sarcasm to offend people! It's being missused
emilaysjonas great point
Absolutely love Loni's makeup and hair today :) Not so sure about Tamar's hair though.
Me too. 😂😂

Tamar just needs to say "Byroooon" from Madea's Big Happy Family
"Was that A shade?" 😂 I love how Tamera's not hip to if.
Tamar said L-L-L-L-Lies! LOL!!!
Tamar's hair here looked a mess! Thank God she got a new hair artist!
i liked it
HashSlingingSlasher ok
Lol your sarcasm will also get you in trouble
+HashSlingingSlasher samee
Well she's fired so I guess she doesn't have to worry anymore 😂😭
I liked Tamar's piece of advice:if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything and if you have to say something, it's not about WHAT you say it's about HOW you say it. loni and tamera have the cutest relationship cuz they would be the most unlikely friends in the group but i honestly think theyre actually closer to eachother than anyone else
I love how one of the Mowry's sisters expresses herself so put together =)
Thanks for the insight
I didnt want to confuse wasnt bothered reading their names tbh
Lol
I agree there is a difference between shade and facts...if wat im saying is true but it hurts ur feelings then thats nt shade...

Lmfaoooo at the thing Loni did after she said "Lies!" 😫😫😂😂
I agree with the statement about being able to do it with your close friends because you know at the end of the day they know you’re joking and shows that you understand each other very well.
There's definitely truth in someones joke. Every time
Tamar know she throws shade daily, at everybody lol. I mean I like Tamar, but truth is, she'd have a ball at someone else's roast and then cry when she gets roasted. If you can dish it, you should be able to take it.
Its 2022 and I still come back to this clip for a good laugh !
I am just loving Tamar's hair. Looks absolutely gorgeous.
To this day I laugh so hard when Tamar said “ you borderline tried it “ 😭
3:39 I freaking lost it with Loni!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I forgot how funny Loni can be... She needs to do more of that on the show. The exchange between her and Tamar had me dying... Even Tamar wanted to laugh, herself!!!
sarcasm is weak communication period!
I like how every time Tamera says ”it’s
How you say it” everyone else repeats it with her like a class.
I love roasting my friends and I love it when they dish it back out. Some ppl are just too sensitive 😂
Loni: mentions several roasts
Utica: this is the time
Tamar they probably was talking about the whirlwind wig..not joking.
Lol Tamar said joan! That's old school dmv/bmore slang!
3:40 i died people. LMFAO
I've gotta agree with Tamar, I CAN NOT handle a roast I will literally cry not knowing how to roast back
British roasting is the best and do sarcasm the best
Once you know yourself and you know your ways and you know how you are you can take a roast from the ppl you love and that love you back, but if your still struggling with insecurities and not sure who you or sensitive or haven't come to terms in accepting your ways then a roast isn't for you , a roast is for people who can laugh at themselves because you know how you can be sometimes. And nobody on that panel can take a roast except for Jeannie! I love you Jeannie your my favorite !
Adrienne if you can't take it in, don't give it out boo!
Loni at 3:40 has me crying 😭😭😂😂
The things is, everybody needs to laugh at themselves and not take everything as an insult! Once you've learned that, you'll be MUCH happier. True story.
Tamera is so cute! and Loni is funny as hell!
ROFL @ Loni impersonating Tamar.
Tamera: Was that a shade? LOL! she is so cute.
Loni: your head not about to fall off
Tamar: she is? Girls she's on tight today (patting her wig) here lately only been watching clips with her in them
"you borderline tried it!" yesss
Tamar know she lying when she says she doesn't shade her friends. Liesssssss!

Personally I love to laugh, especially at myself because it's a part of life you make mistakes and sometimes I am plain silly. I also like when my friends let me know where we stand "on the real"

I'd be a good sport during a roast and surprisingly I'm a somewhat decent roaster. I used to be so corny when I was younger but my impersonations are always on point. Haha

Yeah sarcasm is still hurting people's feelings! If it's not nice, don't say it-Golden rule✨🙊
I remember watching this, when Tamera was scooting over to Loni, I was praying that she would not fall! Oh gahd.
