    The app can at least offer results that give you a better idea of what you can expect from the camera, possibly saving time as a quick reference.
    Love your videos Sarah! Great inspiration for myself and my daughter. BTW, her favourite colour is also yellow 💛. From Ontario, we are hoping to make it out to the Rockies ourselves one day for some long exposure landscape photography.
    Thanks for the video. Great work! 😊

      Awwwww! Tell her I say hello and great choice on yellow as her favourite colour!! 💛💛
      I agree with you!! ReeHeld is so awesome to take a quick long exposure and see what’s possible with the camera. That’s exactly what I’m using it for!

    Nice to see Ollie back. I have an app on my Samsung that is called Expert Raw that kinda does the same at the raw app on a tripod. Its fun to use when your out and don't have your camera. Like you said for social media. I really hope that technology doesn't get to the point that SLR's become obsolete. I love the feel of m y camera in my hand and working with it to create. The younger generations live the phone type tech. Some things just shouldn't go away. The pics turned out well. The question is how big can you blow them up and maintain sharp quality? Yeah, I'm the last generation of boomers, so my perspective is old school

    • @sarahlyndsay
      @sarahlyndsay  11 месяцев назад

      Haha you’re not old school!!! Our trusty old cameras will only continue to evolve. A phone is more like a mini computer in your pocket.
      I’m not entirely sure how big of a print they could produce but it’s super fun to play with and I think helps with composition hunting in a really efficient way!

    Hello Sarah! So good seeing Ollie with you. Quick question, do you know if this app is or will be available for Android? I looked on Google play store and could not find it. Looks like so much fun to play with. Loved this video!

    • @sarahlyndsay
      @sarahlyndsay  11 месяцев назад

      I actually thought it was a available for android! Darn hey!! I am sure it will be coming soon to android… it’s a really neat app! 🔥

  • @marcrjacobs
    @marcrjacobs 11 месяцев назад

    Very cool, hadn't seen this app before. When I'm forced to use my iPhone, because I was too lazy to carry my big camera, I have always used ProCamera and in 48 megapixel mode. Surprisingly, if you then throw it into Topaz Photo AI, you can actually get a pretty decent shot. Certainly not like my 60 megapixel Sony, but quite useable. Then little phones with suitable apps can be quite respectable.

    Hi Sarah
    Informative video, especially since most people have their phones with them.
    You may have mentioned it, but which lake are you at for these photos?

    • @sarahlyndsay
      @sarahlyndsay  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yea I agree... It's really fun to play with and create long expos while the camera is doing something else! I am actually not sure the name of this spot I photographed but it is close to Quarry Lake in Canmore

    Do you ever exposure bracket long exposure shots? Or do you typically try to get it in one shot?

    • @sarahlyndsay
      @sarahlyndsay  11 месяцев назад +1

      Typically get it in one shot but if the scene has a ton of dynamic range then I’ll take a few!

  • @saltisami
    @saltisami Месяц назад

    30 sec exposure is as much as the default camera app can do. so whats the point ?

  • @bettyeverett8089
    @bettyeverett8089 11 месяцев назад +1

    With limited aperture or fixed aperture, you don't have flexibility to control depth of field. I am sure the phone camera can take some amazing shots no doubt, but I know that I can do better on my camera. Just my thoughts. I have taken some night shots on my phone and they do look pretty cool, but not as good as I could get on my camera. Just my experience.

    • @sarahlyndsay
      @sarahlyndsay  11 месяцев назад

      I am not drooling over the ultrawide lens on the phone! I love both.. phone and camera. The app for long expos would be excellent to help plan out a shot and see what is possible while the camera is doing something else!

    Shame it's only for Apple phones. Way to loose out to a much larger sales potential. Android is far better at this stuff. I only know 3 people with apple products. I don't understand why they are not as popular around here.
