Rust in the fog light. I opened it up and found a bracket over the bulb had rusted off because water got in. Should have done a video of the rust inside. Looks like yours may have had rust also. Thanks for sharing this video!
Taking the main assembly is not necessary, carefully feel for the twist housing and turn towards the outside of the car (I think). As to the replacement you have about of choices, bluish light, yellow regular, and halogen$. I buff my lenses with a buffer kit and the results are like new.
Hello, I have a 2003 Toyota Camry LE, and I was unable to successfully connect fog lights to the vehicle despite the vehicle having a pre-wired configuration for foglights. I was curious to know if you would happen to know where in the fusebox one would find the fog light relay on the 03 Camry. I know you are a mechanical/electrical genius, so I wanted to check in with you. Thanks in advance.
I successfully installed LEDs on the fog lights on my 2000 solara but as I took off the splash guard on the right side I accidentally snapped something off hopefully it's nothing major small little piece of plastic came off but other then that everything went well
@@speedkar99 not all it's very good lights I'm surprised at the beam pattern they give out got the sealight x1 series on both fog and headlights both new in box for 30 bucks so I can't complain
The fog lights on the 2002-2003 Solara appear not to bolt in at all on mine. Just snap in and held in place with a tab out the outer edge of the housing. Problem is, one hit from a truck tire tread or hub cap on the freeway and the fog light in no longer secure because the tab will break from any strong impact.
I know the face-lifted Solara uses a different fog light than mine, it might be the same style as the 02-04 Camry or 05-08+ Corolla. I'd never have thought that it was just clipped in, usually they need to be secured properly with a bolt or two. Only Ford and GM does that!
speedkar99 You're exactly correct. They used the same light in multiple car models of those years. The newer fog lights that replaced yours (at least for those years) do just snap in similar to electrical connectors under the hood. The tabs have to be pinched in while pushing the light out from the back. The light has a plastic hook on one end and that plastic tab on the other end that snaps into the bumper cover. I just replaced mine and found that out. And it doesn't take much for the plastic hook to snap off from something as forceful as a good kick. My bad luck to be the victim of a poor design - a semi truck tire tread one time and a flying hub cap the other time were all it took. Not sure if new Toy fog lights nowadays are the same.
This is pretty late but you can take off the corner light in the ES300 to take off the fog light. Once you remove the corner light, you should be able to see one bolt and clip which holds the foglight in place. Takes me about a minute to take off my foglights :)
Such a complicated yet simple video. Thanks!

The ES300 has a clip instead of the 10mm bolt on the side. Just squeeze it and push the fog light out.
Great video... Thanks for taking the time to illustrate the process! :)
+Francisco Aguilar your welcome

This was how to replace the whole assembly
How did you clean your fog light ?
You are a genius man
How do you take the lenses off the light assembly? I notice little clips but they wont budge.

Glad it went well. Lots of glare?

I believe you’re missing the rubber gasket.
Bad thing about lexus es is that its to low wich makes it harder
Its the same height as all other midsized sedans. To access the fogs more easily, use ramps or a jack to lift it up.
Pancho Panochas I made a simple ramp out of two 2 x 8 boards nailed together, which lift the car enough (+3in) for an oil change and other work.
