Yea this is the guide. Thank you so so much I have an sle and its been a bitch to find a video or diagram that shows the placements of the grommets and steps to taking off
I am removing some cheap tint from a rear window on a 99 solara. I need this piece out to reach the whole window. And I would like to thank you for taking the time to do this. I found it very helpfull. No music? Who cares?. I dont have any popcorn either. Anyway Thank you.
seemed liked a lot of trouble just for speakers ..I used a putty knife to pry up the covers then installed my new speakers from the top, a bit of a hack but the covers are big and hid any damage i did to the rear deck holes. looks and sounds fine
I'll be tackling this tomorrow. It's a beater car. I just uploaded a video about doing the rear struts on my 2000 solara coupe. Same idea with taking everything apart, but it's a beater so I did it the easy way
God Dammit Toyota/Canadians (car was assembled in canada...mine anyway), i just bought my 99 solara, and the idiot before me Blew the factory speakers so now in the after math i have to replace the blown ones, and its going to be a pain in the ASS to get this fixed.....ugh
yea, you might want to let the pros do it, those clips are hell to get out.. I thought this would be simple to fix, even the front tweeters are hard to replace.. even the pros might have problems :(
Thanks to you bro I was able to install speakers in my car. Saved me a bunch of money doing it myself with your help. Thank you immensely 🙏

This is an interesting video on replacing rear speakers we family now.💛👍
Holy cow, what a pain in the ass. Thanks for the video.
You can always just cut, this only if you want to keep it factory clean.
I cut my rear deck in half with a utility knife and surgically removed the speakers rofl
Nice! Your car is nice and clean in the inside now we just need to get you to add music to your video..lol!

I was thinking about doing that in my Camry. You use a regular utility knife?

You got to be kicking me... I knew this was gonna be a disaster but I don't even wanna do it now. Ugh
Geez Louise. I thought this would be a simple job but removing the side trim and the seat? Forget it. I'll live with it.
What a stupid design.
If you want to keep it a clean factory look, otherwise you can just cut without having to do this
I have not gotten that advanced yet.
So in other words, I'm leaving my blown speakers haha. Thanks for the vid though!
You can always bottom mount but sound might suffer.
Is there like a manual for this or anything? The video helps but I would like it drawn out..?
Hey i got a toyota camry, i got sony speakers 6 by 9, but i dont knwo where the wires are. Should they go underneath the car?
Sorry, just reading this. I would suggest using the factory wires, but if you just want to change wires just follow where the factory wires run.
that car is extra dirty, in the process of cleaning it...I hope that I can get my videos like yours... I will try to add music or something to this

Too much of a hassle for me unfortunately.

If you break those clips, yank too hard, you will lose that tight factory fit and your car will develop rattles
Yeah i broke a couple...oops 😬
