It’s so sad seeing all the graves of people who you grew up with when you were little in the 70’s. Arthur English was a brilliant actor, thank you for showing where he’s now resting. He should have been given an OBE/CBE/MBE. Hoping you’re well Paul? You’re channel is just brilliant. Thank you 💖❤️💖
The sickening thing is the likes of Arthur was never made a sir even though they all served and did their time and entertained the nation when we needed them......But the likes of Lenny Henrey who does nothing but slag our country off calling us racists and bigots is a night of the realm....
I met Arthur English once. I was given the task of directing and organising a school Christmas Panto, he came and watched a rehearsal and gave me lots of advice. A lovely genuine guy.
Commenting from the USA here. I found about in just recently after looking up things on Jack Wild and finding Every Maths. Aurthur English and Jack Wild made such a wonderful team! It's regrettable they didn't get more work together. It's a bit hurtful to think that though the 70s technically isn't that far away, that these wonderful have already transitioned. Sometimes when I think about how everything passes so quickly, and we don't get a chance to have it again, I wonder what all of it means. Definitely makes me melancholy. Thank You for showing his resting place. Didn't realize he had been cremated. I said a prayer for him.
A wonderful actor, we have been so spoilt in the past, look what we have now, compared to what we used to have, I still watch all the old shows and will still be watching them for another 40 years, thank you for your wonderful but also sad videos, the older we get the more of our past we sadly lose, God Bless you Arthur, thank you for all the laughs over the years.
I think Ive become addicted to this channel , its both informative and done with respect , I watch most evenings . Can I say thank you to Paul for bringing this to us to watch at our leisure as there are probably lots of people not able to travel.
He was a brilliant comic, I loved watching him in are you being served. I don't remember the film. But he's much missed a versatile actor may he res5 in eternal peace.
Thank you Paul, such a beautiful memorial to a very fine comedy actor. I loved seeing him on TV when I was growing up in the UK, even now watching the repeats of 'are you being served' still has me laughing. R.I.P. Arthur and thank you 💕🇦🇺
You forgot to mention Arthur was in the children’s television programme The Ghosts of Motley Hall, the exteriors of which were filmed down the road from me at the reputedly haunted Borwick Hall.Your premiers on Sundays are becoming a staple of the day like country walks, roast dinners and the antiques roadshow.

Georgeous tree loved this man had forgotten about him sweet face loved him so much thankyou Paul for bringing back memories of these lovely old characters beautiful plaque on the wall and what a beautiful place absolutely stunning thankyou 😘
Good evening Paul, firstly i love the new intro and exit music, it is lovely and soft, gentle and i think just perfect for the type of RUclips that you do. Then there's Arthur English who was a lovely man in all the various shows that you mentioned. Being born in 1966 my brother and I found out about television when we were about 8 /9> WHY? Because mum had one of those tv's that were behind cabinet doors and you just didn't mess about with mum's furniture. Anyway, i was about 8/9 when we found out about the telly and all the programmes that you mentioned were on and they were good, clean fun. Whenever someone texts me about going somewhere, it is normally "I'm free" in the John Inman voice that comes out. There were so many good, funny and clean characters out there during the 70's and 80's and yes you could see the wobbly props, walls, scenery, but that was apart of the show and what gave it it's special ingredient. I@d much rather go back through the 70's and 80's television than the rotten music that they thought hip and hot. Thank you Paul for a great run down of Arthur and his life and ties.
A very kind narration of a very kind and generous man who was a close friend even though i only new him for a relatively short time. I miss him very much.
