I was born in January, came home in a blizzard & as a 66yo now, I'd like to experience a winter or 4 without having to shovel snow, scrape windshields, and remember to "penguin walk" on icy patches!
Alberta had a very mild winter this yr, you're lucky u came when u did. Our winters r usually -20 and colder, then add in the wind factor. Happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves, Banff and area is beautiful no matter what season.
Calgary had -30C in January! Unlike Edmonton area, we only had it for a couple of weeks at a time. I retired January 15/24 and it go brutally cold after that!
Haha - I am from Calgary and wintered in Texas and Florida to escape the cold!! Banff is literally 55 minutes from my house but after a lifetime of winters, the sun was definitely more my thing! Although you certainly reminded me of some of the best ways to spend time in the winter 🥶
Snow can be very beautiful, all be it COLD! I would love to do a snowmobile tour of Yellowstone. I still prefer to be in a warm climate for winter though.
Phil &Stacy-I will be at the National Cemetery in Marion, IN to place flags if anybody else wants to join me. Thank you for continuing to honor our heroes.
We don’t know if you went to Jasper at all when you were in Alberta but this last 2 weeks, forest fires reached the town of Jasper, and 1/3 of it was completely burnt out. The forest fires are still circling the area of Jasper and it’s actually quite tragic. As you know, forest fires are nature’s way of cleaning wild lands. And they do serve purpose, but they’re always horrible to see as they show no mercy. The town of Banff is not in danger right now, and not likely to be. A wonderfully informative video about them, which is about two hours away from where I live here in Alberta in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains .
We went there skiing before we were married - 1994. Absolutley beautiful. I don't suspect we will get back for winter but I am sure the summer is stunning too!
Welcome to Canada. Our area had very little snow this year. It was in the 50’s today which is unheard of for mid March. Glad you got to experience the snow! 💛
Summer 2023, we took 8 weeks and left PEI in our c class, with 4 teens, and drove all the way to Vancouver... and back. We went to as many national parks as possible. The Icefield Parkway was our absolute favorite! Thank you for sharing your Banff adventures- makes me want to fly out and see it all in the snow!! We're taking our kids to Newfoundland this June, thank you for your wonderful resources. Bless you both.
Banff was beautiful! Snowmobiling looked like quite the adventure! That would definitely be out of my comfort zone. lol. Stacy at least used the outhouse and not the side of the highway. Lol. Safe travels guys- Mike and Shelley
In answer to the question? I love the parks in the winter. Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, Banff Grand Tetons, Bad Lands, Canyon Lands, Arches. Monument Valley with snow? Amazing. Another amazing one? White Sands with snow, not very often but awesome. I usually took my vacations in the winter. Far less people, far less traffic and much quieter.
That looked like so much fun!! I’m impressed that your lips were able to move in that cold! Mine will freeze up and I sound like I’ve just had a Novocain shot! 😂 So a story about Banff…. Whenever my Scottish grandfather (who was a tad cheeky) was asked where he was going, he’d reply “ To Banff to buy a dog “. A a kid is always wondered why he never came back home from this mysterious place with a dog!? 😂🤷♀️
Great video, guys. Not what i was expecting, sun, shorts and all that goes with it. Beautiful snow area, great scenery. Greatedt thing, when you get enough, load up and head south. Ya'll done good !!! God bless ya'll and ya'll stay safe on your travels.
Loved this video! Had no idea you two had been here playing in our backyard, Calgarians here 😉🤭. Always love people who love our mountains. Canmore is a great place to stay, very good tip. As the other Albertans have mentioned we have had a very mild winter so typically much colder but for those not used to it it’s definitely a shock to the system. Good thing it’s a “dry cold” 🙂.
We plan to visit banff summer of 2024 but got held up in the Midwest in some cold temps this winter for medical reasons. Actual was -22 and there was two weeks of very cold like that. We survived but it wasn’t fun. Great video!
SIlly, silly people, I'm heading there this SUMMER!! I have a whole month booked in the National Park campgrounds Can't wait, as an Ontarian I can only imagine what the Rockies look like in person.
SUMMER!!! In the winter I have to worry about my pipes freezing, running out of propane in the middle of the night, and getting my bed warm enough to fall asleep!! In the winter, let us goto the Tampa RV Show, enjoy the sunshine, and check the temperatures up- north while being glad I am not there!!!
Cool video! I just want to mention that flying a drone in Banff is illegal (unfortunately), as it is in other national parks in Canada. It’s always good to do a quick research before flying, especially when doing an international trip! 😉
Is there some factory somewhere turning out this RV channel muzak? Certain channels all seem to follow a template for creating their videos, and they all have this 'music'. It sucks. No offense, but I hate it. God forbid there is a moment of silence during a video. Your's is not the worst, that will come later tonight, but it makes you all sound and look alike. I like your content, but please less of this crappy all-sounds-the-same....
We are limited in the music selection as we all have to worry about copyright claims. We try to find lesser used music, but most of them don't fit the scene or mood. Thanks for the input.
I grew up snowmobiling and other snow activities. I’ve had my fill and prefer warmer weather activities now!
Banff is one of my favourite places in the whole world. And in my Backyard. Magical in all seasons. Lucky to live here.🇨🇦

Made me COLD just watching you! Burrr!
Oh no!
Banff is on our list! Totally want to go in the winter shoulder season! Great video 😊
You should!
Banff is beautiful in every season. We have had a very mild winter here in Alberta this year so your lucky you came when you did.

We did not.
You had me at snowmobiles!!! 😊
It was so much fun! It was my first time driving one and I loved it. I will do it again.
We went there skiing before we were married - 1994. Absolutley beautiful. I don't suspect we will get back for winter but I am sure the summer is stunning too!

It depends on the national park. Some are better in the summer, but most are best in the fall. The beautiful leaves really do it for us! 😀
Banff was beautiful! Snowmobiling looked like quite the adventure! That would definitely be out of my comfort zone. lol. Stacy at least used the outhouse and not the side of the highway. Lol. Safe travels guys- Mike and Shelley
We had a blast! You should try it. Stacy was apprehensive about the snowmobiles, but after a few minutes was all set.
You should try it .... oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the side of the highway ... 😂
We like Banff in the summer.

You missed THE best restaurant in Canmore called The Crazy Weed in your blog! It’s so good! Love seeing your Canadian content!
Brrr but oh so beautiful! I was waiting to see Ruby up there in the snow!
Ruby stayed in sunny FL. One day we will get her up there.
Nice ! Nice change from all those RVers winter florida videos. If saw one more florida video we were going to go crazy 🤪
Thanks for taking us to Banff. We stayed warm while watching you guys freeze. The outhouse part was pretty funny. Cheers from SE NC.
Glad you enjoyed it

Beautiful winter wonder land for sure.
Thanks for the video, I bet it was so cold but it was beautiful. I’m glad you took us along..
I've lived in NE PA for 66 years. I prefer everything in the summer. LoL...
I'm glad that you had fun in the snow. It's great for a day or two...😊
Just beautiful white snow gorgeous
Yes it was

That looks like so much fun!! ❄☃
It was!
Good morning; beautiful place but winter is gorgeous! I am not sure I could do winter. Florida girl here!! Enjoyed video.
Thanks for watching
Banff is gorgeous in the winter
That was an amazing trip. Thank you for sharing. It seems everything yall did was an adventure and a lot of fun. Stay safe.
Thanks for watching!

Wow that was a awesome adventurer a 10 on my scale thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
That's awesome. My husband would say def summer but I do want to winter camp
Fall/ spring for us
We like the shoulder seasons. Less crowds, good weather
I live in Minnesota and we've had 100 below windchills. 6 below is nothing!
Great music selection in this video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Love this, great info. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Glad it was helpful!

You and me both!
I hope you enjoyed this Parton our beautiful country ❤❤
I love it!
Great to see my Tom O'Connor and his wife.
Those 2 are great Americans!!!
Just down like gorgeous
Thank you Phil and Stacy. I might have found my go to place to get away from the world
What a great trip!! Now Shannon wants to go!!! 😂😂😂
You should!!!
Aw heck...we were there this past June (the 19th) and drove through a snow storm on the way to the Columbia Icefields. So no thanks!
Fantastic!
Beautiful
Summer!
I know that you all just finished this years Unplugged. I was thinking a Army Vs Navy Unplugged would be fun
OMG! That would be off the hook!
Cool video! I just want to mention that flying a drone in Banff is illegal (unfortunately), as it is in other national parks in Canada. It’s always good to do a quick research before flying, especially when doing an international trip! 😉
Thanks. We were not in the park (Banff). I do check before each flight just to make sure.
no snow for me!!!
So beautiful, but… 🥶🥶🥶
Yes it was!
I’m disappointed that you didn’t talk about where you stayed. I’m assuming you did not take your home on wheels with you? Thanks!
We flew in and left the RV in FL. We did mention that we stayed in Canmore.
How did you keep your diesel from gelling?
We flew in.
I prefer spring and fall to visit national parks. Less kids, mild weather.
Nope. We have lived our lives in the PNW and when we go full time we don’t want to be around snow unless there is a family emergency
one of your best videos, I've been to Banff several times, BUT in the summer...
I loke your video
Fall/Spring, or is it Spring /Fall
Did Phil find his ice cream in Banff?
No. We talked about it and never went to find any. A huge fail!!
PS. Don't eat the yellow snow!!!!😢
LOL
Lots of complaining?? Looks awesome to me!
It was!
That's a BIG NOPE from me!
