      @Rejoyce people all over the world apy to win the lottery every year, applications run between Oct and Nov, results come back May every year, 55,000 now 80,000 are given Greencards. If you are already in the US and u win this lottery then you just adjust your status, once you do the interview and pass it, you are given permanent residency (Greencard) . It really is a game of luck, over 30 million people apply and they only give out 55,000 greencards

    If my host parents will prove their bank account. That doesn’t mean that they really have to sponsor me right? They just need to see that someone is available to sponsor me. But if I’ll find a job I can pay for my school…if it’s gonna be like community college…which is not that expensive.

    Great video. But you don't have to wait till 5 years when married to a US Citizen, after 2-3 years you can apply for your citizenship. Before you end your service with your lawyer be sure to confirm. You can also work as an international student on-campus jobs (note writing for the impaired, book store, RA etc). Ppl work outside the school, but it's usually not something that's broadcasted.

    • @KaraboMareka

      Yes if you family chooses to they can be your sponsor. And yes you will need to have a visa of some sort in process before you Au pair visa ends.

    • @KaraboMareka
      @KaraboMareka  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t know. Every family is different. By the way majority of families don’t send their Au pairs to university. Just a few. If your family really likes you and has the money to they won’t mind. But it doesn’t happen often.

    • @KaraboMareka

      Also, families don’t really owe you anything. Yoh have to figure out your life when you’re done. You have to figure out where to live etc, they don’t have to accommodate you … like I said earlier most families do not do this! I don’t want you thinking that they do. It’s just an option. I only know 3 Au pairs in my entire Au pair journey whose families had done this. And I know hundreds and hundreds of Au pairs. It’s just an option if you’re lucky
