The most fantastical combination of airy and cozy in both outer and inner design, this treehouse nestled in the Catskills, NY was everything I dreamed it would be and more. I love how you leave Blue and then fly. What an excellent idea if you can do it. Besides saving rather than rent, it’s your truck and all your stuff is stored in it that you need. I call my 4Runner a TRUCK and her name is Bertha. You are a great inspiration! I think it’s a great idea cuz I have done the drive NY to Colorado = GREULING!!!! Same for NY to Florida.

The Willow Tree Airbnb is so peaceful. It showed to be a perfect little getaway to regroup and do some self-reflecting. Glad you were able to check that off your wishlist! Your videos and excursions are always fun to watch. You allow us into your life and let us live vicariously through you! If you are ever interested I think you’d find coming to Frederick, MD where I live a quaint town that has a small town feel. We have gorgeous trails, mountains and shops as well as family owned restaurants. Hope you can make it out our way!

I’m confused about the park and fly. Are you driving cross country with the car? Did you drive the car to the PNW, then drive back to Chicago, then back to the other places where you took Winnie?
There is a song called Ashokan Farewell which was written in 1982 and was played at the closing of the Ashokan Fiddle and Dance festival. It is a beautiful piece of music and was the theme music for Ken Burns' Civil War series.
My son went camping at Ashokan this fall! You pronounced it right.

With that kind of traffic driving by it isn't tiny town (small town) instead it is pretending to be a small town. I live in a small town in California and we do have to great places to shop, but we are not a vacation destination, so we would never have that kind of traffic. I am so glad. Even in Camel, CA we don't have that kind of traffic noise.
I don't live in Carmel but it is very close to me. If you see those downtown signs that are so crafted, probably not a small or tiny town--much more of a tourist town.
