I remember you once saying theater was your family's "culture" -- have you taken your kids to see christmas carol yet? or any other plays? I started going at age 4 but I also grew up with actor/director parents, respectively. I'm sure at least CC would love it. Could be a fun mother/daughter day for you guys which would be special. My dad took me to NY when I was 11 and we saw so many plays, one of the best memories of my life.

Happy Christmas Jen, thanks for all your great content. I’ve lived vicariously through you and really enjoy all your travels. I stayed in NYC in 2000, it was like being on a film set, everywhere looked like a movie scene. They say grief stays the same size but life gets bigger around it. I separated in 2019 and am still trying to adjust. I find you very inspiring. I wish you nothing but peace and happiness for the coming year. Much love from Ireland 🇮🇪😘😘😘. Keep up the great work and don’t be minding those little jealous trolls, I have a very low income and and am very happy for you and am happy in myself too. They are just projecting their own insecurities. Xxx

Hey Jen! I’ve been watching you from the very beginning & I’ve always loved your videos. It’s so refreshing to see that you are still your authentic , true & sweet self. Also kudos for mentioning the horses in Central Park & bringing more attention to that important topic, im sure the horses thank you. It’s nice that you are not pretending to hide your past “I used to like it and think it was romantic”, simply authentic & I really love watching your videos! Merry Christmas :-)

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and how wonderful to spend time in New York retracing the places you remember as a child. I get sad during this time of year, I remember the holidays spent with my family who are no longer here with me. Preparing the traditional meals that my mom did for us and her not being at the table any longer or my dad, truly takes me to a place that is painful. My family is so very small now and it’s just my children. I know what you mean being somewhere but feeling sad at the same time. I’m thankful my son lives with me and I’m not alone, someday he will marry and have his own life. I wish things were different for you sweet Jen. Just keep moving forward and taking us along to beautiful places. ❤

I'm divorced but now remarried also my parents are now gone. The holidays are still hard - you are right, the holidays are complicated. When I got divorced (we didn't have children ) but I loved my ex's nieces and when we split his family was gone, my own parents were older parents and had passed away and the holidays were like you said happy times but also sad and just complicated- they still are. Love your channel ❤️

What a wonderful sentimental and heart-warming visit to your grandparents' city. Thank you for sharing your memories and the nostalgia of choosing to stay in a beautiful warm safe hotel which reminds you of them. Memory lane makes us feel safe. Another great travel idea from you Jen.

I know what your talking about. I lost my mom eight years ago my dad three years ago and my sister during Covid. Had not seen them in years and it pains me especially around the holidays. I close my eyes and can hear their voices and I can smell my mother's traditional foods as tears run down my face. I'm the last one left and it's very sad, but at the same time I am happy with my children and husband. Happiness all around but crying in the shadows.
