    I've seen the world
    Done it all
    Had my cake now
    Diamonds, brilliant
    And Bel Air now
    Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
    The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child
    [Chorus]
    Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
    Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
    [Verse 2]
I've seen the world, lit it up
    As my stage now
Channeling angels in the new age now
Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll
The way you play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul
    [Chorus]
    Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
    Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
    [Bridge]
Dear lord, when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let him in
Father tell me if you can
Oh that grace, oh that body
Oh that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds
    [Chorus]
    Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
    Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

yes, this is how they should have done the song in the great Gatsby, but they put modern music in that movie for a reason. this and Lana's version were as equally amazing, but I don't think it would have suit the scene when the song was played.

    • @oldfool666

    • @Lucy1972ist

Honestly, I thought it was really clever of them to use modern music in the movie. I think they were trying to make the certain scenes and songs relatable and equivalent to what it would be like for us in the modern times. So like if they play a really bop dance song, ( obviously its historically inacurate) but their trying to convey its equivalence during that time

PMJ just continues to entertain. First, musically this is simply enchanting - Robyn's voice, the composition, just overall SO enjoyable. But beyond the music, those incredible little touches: the harpist in Lovefool, and now the banjo player in this song: so sardonic, yet so into it, and makes the song go beyond the music, to ENTERTAINING. Those little touches just complete a PERFECT rendition. Bravo, bravissimo - Again! Can't wait for you to come to DC. Hurryup, willya! :)

Great arrangement! I think her voice really suits this, and the style she sung this with. I think on the contrary, to those who feel she doesn't sing with enough emotion, for this particular arrangement she didn't really have to. I think she sung it with enough emotion. You've to recognize it'll definitely be different from the original, haunting one by Lana!

    I've seen the world
Done it all, had my cake now
    Diamonds, brilliant, and Bel-Air now
    Hot summer nights mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, the city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child
Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful
I've seen the world, lit it up as my stage now
Channeling angels in, the new age now
Hot summer days, rock and roll
The way you'd play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul
Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful
Dear lord when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let me
Father tell me if you can
Oh that grace, oh that body
Oh that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds
Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul
I know you will, I know you will
    I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful
Will you still love me when I'm not young and beautiful
