The reason why in Sub-Saharan Africa "Youth" is seen as 15-30 has nothing to do with our education system. In some ways our education carriculum is actually more difficult compared to western education. Hence why a lot of nigerian, ghana, zambia kids come over to the UK and do well in school. The reason why youth is 15-30 is we have the youngest population in the world. For example more than 80% of Zimbabweans are below the age of 40.
