This isn't it then. There is nothing unique about it. It's the generic current style of "Brutal distorted lows and crashing guitars then switching to pop punk". Boring, uninspiring.

This album is incredible. I didn't expect it, I thought it would be a decent album but this blew my mind. The vocals, both cleans and screams are amazing. It's my second favourite album of the year easily, only Bad Omens tops it for me
True Power for me is much more cooler than Bad Omens work. As for vocals, I bet it would be very difficult to pull it out on stage. Vocal parts are really complex on this album.
Completely agree with all of this, but Scoring The End of The World tops it for me. That's about it though 🔥
I’ve been trying to decide if I like TDOPOM or True Power more… I think True Power takes the cake for me. This album is really incredible, I can’t stop listening to it. Production is 🤌🏻
Shrine by Bleed From Within is the best for me
It was my top AOTY for about 2-3 weeks until Oceans Ate Alaska dropped theirs. So fucking good.

That's why I like reaction videos. I love heavy music but no one else I know is into it so I can't really share that passion with anybody. These channels definitely fill that void a bit
Northlane still has AOTY for me, but I Prevail, Saviour, and Bad Omens have all put out heat this year
By faaaaar their best musical performance yet. Imo nothing they've ever done comes close to this and is just a show of how far they've grown as musicians. This is definitely in my top 10 albums this year, maybe even top 5.
There's Fear In Letting Go is the most interesting and epic track on the record in my opinion. What can I say? It was clear after the Trauma that these guys are really talented, but True Power has definitely raised that bar. It would be very interesting to know who is the song writer behind these tracks, cause the guy really has powerful creative thinking. Is it Steve? Also I must admit the quality of producing on these tracks. I was very surprised that the guy who produced it, Tyler Smyth, also produced Popular Monster, Zombified and Voices In My Head by Falling in Reverse. IMO, I Prevail in the next couple of years would became one of the leaders of the mainstream metalcore next to BMTH or even more popular due to US origin.
I don't see anyone topping BMTH, but I think I Prevail is certainly on the path of being one of the premier bands in the scene, if they aren't already.
As it seems i think I PREVAIL music its so much quality than Bmths.

The true power tour is easily one of my favorite concerts I’ve ever been to. What an awesome experience.
I hope Architects will deliver like these guys in two months, I know they are going for a different sound and you may hate it but if the overall quality and harmony between heavy, clean and fun creative parts will be like true power I'd be very stoked

@@suicidele0pard I disagree. I think that they will lose the fake/casual fans and the real fans will stay and appreciate the music for what it has evolved into. I agree that what they have been releasing recently is a FAR cry from All Our Gods and LF//LT, because of losing Tom of course, however I enjoy the newer material and will support Architects no matter what they put out, even if Sam wants to start wearing eyeliner lmao 😂💀
@@suicidele0pard as an Architects fan I would say that the new singles are the move in the right direction. Tom has invented their sound in LF / LT and topped it in AOGHAU. Holy Hell has already sounded like a copy. If they would've remained in they desire to play something similar the next album would've sounded like a copy of the copy. If their fans really likes that than they could switch to Wage War and remain happy till the rest of their days, but Architects are much better than that. So they've decided to switch the sound.

I legit can't imagine an album that I'll ever like more than this one. Every single song, I was thinking, "this is incredible, I hope in the next part they take it in whatever direction," AND THEN THEY TOOK IT IN THAT DIRECTION!!!!! EVERY. TIME. WITHOUT. FAIL.
I'm convinced they read my mind before they made it. I love it so much.
The Silver Scream analogy is kinda funny because with both, the first was red and the second was blue
Commenting this after seeing them live on September 14th (second time total, first time 2015), and man, I fucking love this album, it's amazing live.
I played this video cuz I wanted to see your reaction to choke and I discovered 2 things by doing this: 1. I prevail is incredible, in almost all the songs you feel powerful, it's just amazing. And 2. In fact, choke is the best song of this album hahaha. Btw, you should react to the album 'Trauma'
The album is so energetic, I love it! Though it reminds me a lot of the A Day To Remember, especially the song called Judgement Day. I frickin' love them too!
Been following I Prevail since the get go and I think this album had to be the magnum opus! They perfectly blended their older sound form like Heart vs. Mind with TRAUMA’s new vibe. And every single breakdown is insane, makes my head hurt. Also both Eric and Brian’s voices have improved so much and I love how each song has a different layout from the other. Self destruction was kinda weird first listen but now its one of my favorites cause they did a bunch of crazy shit that worked so well in it

I would add Hollow Front, Motionless in White, and Monuments into the mix as well. Any of these could replace MMF imo

I think I‘m not in the bubble but this hurt reading, because those were some of the least inspiring records for me. If you jam it I respect it but then you just haven‘t heard much music this year probably
I definitely enjoyed this album more than I expected, i figured it was gonna be good but I wasn't likely to listen to it very often, but i've listened through it multiple times already and bloody love it
Quick Edit: I 100% agree with what you said about the vocalists, both get a lot of time to shine in the band and I'm super happy about that, they're both absolutely fantastic
Man this album is so friggin good. I was expecting the album to be sort of alright but not something I was gonna be listening to a bunch of times. But then when I listened to it a bunch of times I realized that this album is probably better than their Trauma album. This is definitely gonna be one of my top favorite albums of this year. Now I just gotta wait for Slipknot and Disturbed and Parkway Drive to release their albums soon and I will be very happy.
When I first listened, I still enjoyed Trauma more. Over time tho, after 2-3 listens, I couldn't help but admit that True Power is just better in every way. Vocals, instrumentals, the amount of tracks, it's just such a great album in every way. My only complaint is the breakdown in Closure (felt unnecessary) but it wasn't anything song ruining. It j felt out of place is all. Definitely in my top 3 albums of the year (True Power, Death of Peace of Mind, and Jackpot Juicer are my current 3 favorites)!
I have two things to say about this album. #1: You don't need to force a break down every song. It wasn't a huge problem here, it was actually quite fine but I feel like some songs could've used a little less going on. #2: Otherwise it's just absolutely insane fun to listen to and I love it

I swear, this album is so perfect
Great albums it’s a variety album I don’t think it has the cohesiveness that Trauma had, call it cookie cutter if you like but it really told a story. But I do like all the songs, the production is great and the vocals are really the highlight of the album.
This whole album its a beast.

Can't wait... I Prevail is doing there first festival headlining performance this September in there home state. they purposely dropped the album before the festival. Which they have come out confirming it's there biggest show they have ever done. Im so excited to take part in it.

I didnt know what to expect of this album, Trauma was my go to in my depression era so yeah, but this album was nuts, one of my fav of this year for sure, loved your reaction, always nice to have someone to listen to it all along (ok my roomates didn't have the choice to listen to it as well but that doesn't count XD)

My favorite album this year! I can't get enough. They should have won rock album of the year. I love Ozzy but true power was the best. The Grammies always give older rock groups the awards. The newer rock groups don't get the acknowledgement or the respect they deserve. Hell Glorilla won a grammy?🤔

Man. I Prevail has never been anything but a generic, but solid, Metalcore band. But this album fucks, for me. Long Live the King is by far the weakest track in my opinion, but I honestly enjoy every song aside from that one.

I think I'm in the minority when I say I don't like this album. It's not bad by any means, and there's definitely some good songs here, but it feels kinda all over the place at times. It's also really overproduced in my opinion, and the "heaviness" factor doesn't do anything for me here. Maybe it'll grow on me, but so far this is not even close to AOTY for me.
I agree, but for me it's the cleans that sometimes just don't sound good for the songs + the autotune (or whatever the effect is) feels bit too high at times.
