- This neighbor was with us throughout the whole transformation, he even wanted to ride our scag v ride 2. This is Houston grass for you, the city never takes care of vacant properties like this one. We even had to bring out our stihl hedge trimmer for this one, and machete. It sure came out beautiful in the end, probably the best yard on the street.

This corner lot was massive! You’re right, all grass, which is nice to see instead of a yard full of weeds. Daniel, you and your Father handled the help with grace, patience, and good manners. I am glad it all worked out in a positive way for a very gratifying transformation.

I think that young man (the helpful autistic neighbor ?), had watched you two for a while and thought he could do it as well. And even though he didn't do anywhere near a great job, in his mind he did. And that will stay with him for very long time. You never know how much you two helped that young guy. He acted the same way my Uncle did and he was a drunk, not autistic. He was slurring words and it got worse as the day went on.

I worked with the people with disabilities. All they want is someone to treat them with respect and understanding. Feeling like they accomplished something and getting praise and attention. This makes them feel awesome. Just always remember. We all have some type or form of a disability, seen or unseen. We aren't perfect. But showing that much faith in this young man was amazing.
