Happy New Year, everyone! Scraps and I love this fountain. In fact, Scraps wondered if she would fit in it. She was most disappointed when I explained she'd never get her bit butt into the pool at the bottom of the fountain. I think I'm going to have to build her something similar to play in, just not today, as the snow and freezing temperatures require us to stay warm and toasty beside the fire. We're looking forward to the next episode, and can't wait to see what amazing creations you have in store for us. Keep up the good work! xxx😊😊😊😊😊

Ah... there it is. The one that divides them... or brings them together. Some love the statue. Others nearly despise it. Some believe one story... the rest do not.
Gelath. Mysterious, winged, once a protector of this place. Or perhaps not.
There is no written story of what happened, only the words passed down from one generation to the next. Even the priests don't know. They have been taught that Gelath helped... but there are tales of him only wishing to rid this place of the people... and those are the stories that cause strife.
He couldn't be both... good and evil. He must have been only one or the other... as none of us are. But at some time in the distant past, someone felt inclined to build this statue to Galath, glorious and free.
My mind enjoys adding to your story and you leave them so nicely open to interpretation that I can't help but write it down. Thank you for that... ♥ ...and for the beautiful place that you are creating, one teeny brick at a time.

😊❤😊 maybe perhaps. Can one be both good and evil. There are many stories of characters being both good and evil. Perhaps not at the same time. Like the bible. Satan. Would of looked just as Gelath does in that statue. However he wanted to be God. So fell. Once was good. Now evil. Or Saruman from Middle-earth. Once the leader of the white council. A friend and allie. But was corrupted by the power of the ring and using the palintir. One of the lost seeing stones. Was shown great fear and all the armies arrayed across the whole world. Perhaps if he didn't see those things. Perhaps he would not of fell into darkness. And Gandalf. Who is good. And who protected the world. What thought of by the inhabitants of middle-earth as an evil doer. A bad person. As whenever evil and massive orc armies turned up. So did Gandalf. So Perhaps whenever a great storm appears. So too does Gelath show up. Regardless of whether Galath turned away the storm or not. Why does Gelath always show up at times when great turmoil appears. Particularly the hobbits in the Shire. Who have allways known peace. Then this Gandalf grey wanderer shows up. A few hobbits go missing. Then what. The whole Shire becomes enslaved by Sharkey and his Ruffiens. Perhaps that is similar to Gelaths tale. Maybe As a protector. He comes to those in times of need. But however. Those times of need are also the times that evil doers are doing evil. So why does evil things happen. Whenever Gelath shows up. It's just people thinking logically. However getting it wrong.

Even antiheroes sometimes do the right thing. Respect to the Winged Warrior, no matter his intent. Beautiful addition, well done, as always. Happy New Year, to you and the Missus, as well

❤😊❤ thank you for showing me this lovely statue of Gelath. Perhaps Galeth is a hero. An angelic being. A being from another world. Who only comes in times of great need. However. Every time that Gelath comes. He is the one that the people mistrust. Regardless wether he protects them
Regardless that he defeats the evil forces. Simply because he allways arives just before the problem starts. People logically comes to a conclusion. Regardless wether that conclusion is right or not.

Happy new year Colonel and Mrs O'Truth! I keep thinking the final build of this project will be phenomenal, but each new piece already is phenomenal, so I imagine you must have something spectacular in store. I rewatched the whole undercrag series in quiet moments over the holidays as a way to wind down and it never disappoints.

Absolutely phenomenal build, Colonel! I'm used to you putting an abundance of thought and detail into the larger structure builds, but you certainly packed as much thought and detail into this fountain, and on an even smaller scale. This one makes me want to study it with a magnifying glass. Are you sure you and Velchior aren't related 😂 You definitely have a wizard's touch, when it comes to these builds! I'm looking forward to your next feat of miniature magic!
I hope you and Mrs. O'Truth had a fantastic New Year's Day, and all the best to you both for 2025!

Another great addition. Your creativity is always inspiring to me. I think Gelath, though perhaps not perfect (no one truly is) was a hero... at least for one moment in his life.
Thanks for sharing. Wishing you and the Mrs a wonderful year to come.
