Absolutely wonderful to walk through the city with you and learn all of the mythology and history of Undercrag. What an epic build it has been and a story we never wanted to end. I'm looking forward to the Overcrag and your continued amazing work. Thank you for sharing it all with us
i love this so much. The story, the build itself.. everything is so immaculate and pretty I could just imagine having a child character who lives on the underside and loves to visit the windmill and look out at the city and beyond
Proper worldbuilding right there!! It is all so very very good. Fair play for not giving up on it, that is a great achievement. Loved the background and the modelling and the shooting of it. It is just wonderful. What is next, some of the civilians?
Haha! There you go with the civilians again! Thanks so much for your support! I’m really pleased that you e been enjoying this - I hope to keep you entertained!
Fabulous colonel! I’ve literally just finished exhibiting at a miniatures show in the Netherlands and come back to the hotel room to see this episode. Amazing to wander through the streets that I’ve watched you build for so long now. It felt like a final episode which made me feel very sad so will definitely be following you into ‘Overcrag’. The adventure continues …
Colonel…this was great. Thanks so much for the complete tour and story. You are so imaginative. I really hope that you and the Mrs. WILL make a picture book of the city when you think it’s complete. I know I’d buy one. I’ve loved every episode of this. Many bravos for your fabulous work! Love from Arkansas, US.
Absolute triumph of a video! Really well presented, written and narrated. Really enjoyed touring the city and its history. Setting it in some landscape boards was a great touch. You truly brought it to life for me and the stories you wove made me wish there was a series of books I could read and loose myself in. You have many talents and I look forward to journeying onwards with you to the next level. Thankyou
AMAZING!! we've been out to a local bus and tram rally today, so to come home and watch this, with a bag of sweeties, a bottle of fizzy pop, and a snuggly rat.....bliss! I loved the history of how Undercrag City came to be. Each episode breathes more and more life into this build.....truly amazing! I'm looking forward to what happens next..........?!!😊
Hi Lainee! It wouldn’t be a successful episode without a message from you and your ratty companion! So glad you’ve enjoyed Undercrag - The Overcrag is coming!
We are so looking forward to the next episode and to finding out all about the Overcrag. The other half was stunned into silence (not by a sheep this time!) by just how small everything is that you build. He was expecting it to be massive and has even commented that the details you create on such a small scale are incredible.....high praise from the man of the house! 😊😊😊
Splendidly captivating! I would agree - the Craggers are quite the hardy lot, but they are also quite insane 😂 Your storytelling made Undercrag very real...sometimes too real. Not a chance of me looking over the handrail. Thanks for the tour of Undercrag and for relating its history! I'm very much looking forward to Overcrag! Your imaginative creativity is absolutely phenomenal!
You are too kind, but thank you! I’m having great fun building this strange place - and the support and encouragement all of you are giving me really keeps me going!
Absolutely brilliant…the city…the caves…the story… I continue to be amazed, enchanted, intrigued and maybe a little addicted or perhaps obsessed would be a better description. I await the continuing tale and the growth of the Overcrag with barely contained anticipation. Many thanks and accolades to you, Mrs O’Truth and the loyal Pointy Stick for a most memorable and enjoyable experience.
Thanks Grace! I've received so many lovely comments like this one that I'm a little blown away! It's so gratifying to see how people are invested in this project! Thank you very much from me, Mrs. O'Truth, and the Trusty Pointy Stick!
An absolute triumph! Greatly enjoyed this one for sure. It really tied together the sculpting style of the city, which I had failed to identify thus far. And I also enjoyed the little tidbit that men and women are members of the guard. 🎉
You’re too kind! Thank you! It was great to finally tie it all together - in fact I had to create sone of the backstory as I was recording! So glad it worked! Men and women? Of course! If the women of Undercrag are even half as formidable as the women in my family, the city is in good hands!
That’s quite a compliment! Thank you! And strangely, it was a conversation with one of the guys who built the Dale miniature that inspired my irregular rooftops!
Thank you! I’m glad we got this far! This episode was a lot of work, but we’re really proud of the results! Thanks for waiting so long for this walkthrough - lots more to come!
Stunning build. It's often hard to appreciate the small scale, which makes the detailing even more impressive. The lighting has been masterfully implemented and brought so much depth. This should be on display somewhere. And hey, mrs O'Truth hasn't left you either, so bonus!
Hahaha! Thank you very much! As a matter of fact, I am in the rather privileged position of constantly being sent away to work on Undercrag! It takes a lot of work to keep up with Mrs. O'Truth's editing skills!
I just recently discovered your wonderful town. Your work has inspired me to rework my own world. It lives in paintings and sculptures that occupy less space. I can't help but marvel at what you have accomplished as a modeler and story teller, your voice is awesome really. What an asset. Thank you for putting these videos on u tube😊.
Welcome to the channel! Glad to have you on board! I'm so pleased to hear that I have helped with your inspiration - artists feeding artists is what it's all about! Thank you for your lovely comments - I hope to hear from you again, and that your own work flourishes!
That was a fantastic story, Undercrag City would make an excellent place for Skylands. a sanctuary land, not even Kaos would dare enter their because of the gates magic. Maybe a Dragon King blessed this lands gate out of its good heart with his own fire.
This is wonderful! I’ve watched it twice already. What a work of absolute art and creativity. As a mum, I can’t help think that the Craggers, with their rope-bridges and sheer drops, must have had their toddlers on a leash 😅
Thanks Lou! While it is true that the Craggers raise their children in less-than-ideal environments, you know what they say - "They'll only do it once..."
Excellent story. I could picture myself living in Undercrag City, and enjoying it. So many places to explore, and each path an adventure. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this wonderful, and much-anticipated tour! I could spend hours exploring every little nook and detail of this incredible build. Congrats to you and the Mrs for coming this far. Looking forward to seeing the Overcrag. Cheers!
This has been a phenomenal series. Building miniature terrain has always been my favorite part of the hobby I had recently gotten into 15mm miniatures, and thought I would end up having to print my terrain. Your videos inspired me to give small scan terrain a go, and I'm having a blast with it. Keep up the awesome work

Thanks Brad - as always! It was really satisfying to tie it all together in one episode. I’m just thankful that everyone was so patient - this was a walkthrough that many have been asking for, for quite a while!

Wow, that was absolutely worth waiting for. I agree, the Craggers must be insane to live all the way up there. But what a wonderful tour of the city, I would love to meet you for a glass of ale in the tavern - my treat of course 😁😁💜💜💜

Working this morning, so missed the usual Undercrag update. Currently watching today's episode, love the world and mythology that you created. How did you think of this in the first place?
Great question! I was sitting in a bar, ‘checking my emails’… with a sketch book beside me. I had an idea that I wanted to build a fantasy city, but it had to be unique and original. All I started with was a sort of wave-shaped cliff with a few rudimentary buildings, one of which was hanging from the roof. Beyond that, there was basically no plan - I kept myself open to just seeing how things developed, and letting each new piece influence the next.
The problem with these diagrams...is they seem "better" than real life sometimes. I was wondering if their was some secret way to get to the City? I would like to visit for sometime if that is possible.
