  • Jacaerys Velaryon is the eldest son Rhaenyra Targaryen and illegitimate future heir to the throne. But despite his disputed heritage, and realms scorn of it, he looks to be a future monarch in the making. Though, looks can be deceiving...

    Jace made pacts and those pacts remained long after his dead. He saved his baby brother and the future king Aegon III. Made the most loyal alliances of the war.

      How did he save aegon III? He sent him on a ship which got attacked by the triarchy and he escaped by a hairs breath by clinging to a dying stormcloud (his young dragon). His other brother, viserys, was not so lucky, getting captured.
      To be clear I'm not blaming jace as they didn't know the triarchy had joined but he didn't save aegon III.
      Also daemon made the best and most loyal alliances with the riverlords. The riverlands were the MVP of the war as they defeated every green army whilst the vale and North derped around and the iron isles sat on fair Isle.

    I think the reason why people like the 'Criston is Jace's father' theory, is because Criston is not just fighting to keep a bastard off the throne, but his bastard off the throne.
    Does it add to the story? I personally think it doesn't in the long run, but it is fun to think about.

    Jace is still young & coming up under queen Rhaenyra & her more level headed & calm way of ruling like her father would’ve surely rubbed off on him. He’s still young just like his mother was & that’s where the impulsive anger comes from. But as he gets older it will settle especially with influences like Corlys & Rhaenys. & he’d still make a much better king than Aegon the drunken sex offender but we know how it goes so it’s just wishful thinking sadly

    Jace asked not only if Harwin was his father, but also "is he a bastard"? If Criston is Jace's father, Rhanera could naswer no to first question, but not the second. Also: Harwin maight had thought Jace is his son. Rhaneyra never specified when she and Laenor tried for their own child - there was big gap between Lucerys and Joffrey in show.

    Jacearys is "pale", but Cole has very light olive skin and adult actor who plays Jacaerys has VERY similar nose to Criston. Also, Jace in show IS in the same age as Aemond - neither Alicent nor Rhaneyra have visible pregnancy in episode 5 and in episode 6 Luke is 8 - meaning Jace had to be 9. We never know Aemond age, but he could be born at best six monts after episode 5 (since Alicent wasn't showing), so he is at best 9 and half, the same age as Jace.

      Mixed race children can also look very different from each other. Just because your father has tan skin doesn't mean you will if your mother is pale, it's a spectrum and dark parents can even have very fair children cuz I'm some recessive gene they carry for that trait.

    • @pendragonsxskywalkers9518
      @pendragonsxskywalkers9518 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@musakamara4157 Yes, that's true. The friend of my brother was brown-haired child of red-headed man and mother who was bascically like Criston - olive skin and black hair. Two other children were light-skinned with reddish hair like their father. If Criston had a child with Rhaenyra, they could easily look like Jace. Also... it is really hard to call them "mixed race" in first place. I would consider Criston white. Its not like situation with Laenor.

    • @Rhaelle

      @@musakamara4157Its interesting to see when the Valyrian features present themselves in marriages between Targargens and other families. Like with Baelor Breakspear, he had his mothers hair and complection, same with Bittersteel, and Jon Snow. Dornish and Northern features seem to be more dominant than the ressesive Valyrian features. I think the gene is more present in Targ men than women though, because all of Alicent and Viserys children were born with Valyrian features, even though Alicent had dark hair. Rhaenyras sons with Harwin had dark hair, even though Rhaenyra has Valyrian features. Just a theory :))

    I thought the implication was the sex scene between Alicent and Viserys in episode 4 was the conception of Aemond - and if Rhaenyra was pregnant with Cole's child and didn't drink the moon tea then in theory Alicent and Rhaenyra wouldn't be far along enough to be showing in episode 5 but they could still be pregnant.

    • @GrinMonister
      @GrinMonister 8 месяцев назад +1

      It'd be very unlikely since they'd both be visibly pregnant at the wedding if they got pregnant in episode 4. Royal weddings not only take a long time to plan, but people from all over the kingdoms will need time to receive their invites, make their plans (for example choosing a regent to rule in their stead) and then to travel there. So, at least three months if they're going super fast. Most likely four-six months, though if not more.

    Genetics aren't perfect, someone can have a dark featured parent and still come out with pale skin if their other parent has that. And aren't there blond dornish people and even with olive skin they're still white. The hair is the same, some people are born with neither of their parents hair color and some have a mixture in coloring and texture from both. Maybe the texture and color is from his mother sicne she does have Arryn blood and they're known for brown hair.

    • @heartlesslove9084
      @heartlesslove9084 8 месяцев назад +1

      Roose Bolton took permission from King Tommen to legitimize Ramsey. Robb used his power as king in the north to legitimize jon and dany used her queenship to make gendry a Lord paramount.
      The problem with strong boys is that they are not laenor's blood, and it's openly known in the court. Therefore the making legitimization as a velaryon is a farce.

      Then for fu@ks sake do that. You have a dragon, everyone knows. The king before Jaherys(i know i butchered that name,lol) had a whole ass legitimate ecclesiastical rule made up so he could marry his little sister. The rest of westeros nobility didn't marry siblings, its not like allowing the king to choose his successor based solely on birth order doesn't mean they would have to. Vini vidi vici by way of dragons is the ultimate to the Victor's go the spoils. The dragons peaced out because instead of letting them do what they were created to do, the Targaryians implemented them as if they were flying ponies.

      @@hightower19 For team black stans you are green if you make a neutral video 🤷‍♀️
      Maybe it's just my perception. I like characters from both sides, f.e. I like Rhaena, Jace and Luke as characters, but I also like Aemond, Alicent and Halaena as characters. So people who are really into team black can go off on me if I post anything remotely green online 😅 And I think both Jace and Daeron would have made good kings.
      Idk why that is, but team black seems to have a bit of idealisation going on and if you point out good and bad traits about a character, you are green to many. It's weird.
