@@SimracingPopometer Saitek's part of Logitech now. I thought the "PRO" part of the description sounded relatively impressive until I remembered Logitech's Pro Flight Yoke :D Really tempted to get this wheel though, I think it looks pretty good.
To be fair wheel rims all take a few days to get used to. The quick release on the Pro is superb .From my perspective the G Pro rim is rock solid , the paddle shifters are the best I have used, and the pedals which you didn't try have quickly become my all time favorites and I have owned a lot of them. Both from major manufacturers and third party producers. I also think Logitech has a reliability track record for their wheels that is unmatched by anyone else in the industry. At 1262 US with free shipping I think the price is fair . I do some PC and Gran Turismo so cross platform capability is a must for me. Many have posted that Fanatec is cheaper but it really isn't. DD Pro 8nm $600 Mclaren V2 rim $200 Metal QR $100 V3 pedals $400 CSL Elites V2 $300 plus shipping
I did try the pedals earlier, just didn't mount them again for this video. They are good to use + easy to adjust. I would agree that getting used to a rim in general is a thing, but not to that degree. It's very solid and well manufactured, no doubt about it. The only thing that was bothering me was "the touch". The artificial leather (not an issue of being artificial, but the result of it being rather slippery), paired with a rather thin grip and no cushioning/foam underneath make it tricky for me to use for longer sessions or more tense race situations where the grip naturally tightens. My overall sentiment to the whole thing is very positive, just wish there were already more rims - and the QR suggests there will be.
@@SimracingPopometer How much did you pay for your rim of choice ? Of course there will be more rims hence the QR. Logitech did not pre announce because they knew that the initial supply would not be great which was very smart. Great upgrade! Since my pedals stand on the floor, 'cause I don't have a rig, the T-LCM's work fine for me. V2 are to hard to press when not a rig I heard.
I'm on G923 with TLCMs and atm I've been waiting on a TM DD for a while, but I'm kinda weary of it since the TGTs have been so expensive while being great belt bases, they are still dated tech compared to the overflow of DDs.
