I've owned this wheel and pedals for a couple of weeks. Massive nostalgia value for me as i started my sim racing journey many moons ago with the wingman. I've owned many wheels since then, including a lot of the Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec stuff. I've also spent considerable time using other DD bases such as SimXperience, Simagic & Simcube. The Logitech PRO Racing beats them all IMO, Yes, the plastic casing is a bit naff at this price point, but this thing is solid as a rock. You plug it in and it just works, the menus and adjustability are great and user friendly. The QR is very well designed. The detail in the feedback is best in class, the ergonomics of the rim are great but I agree that it's too hard, it doesn't feel premium when you hold it. Apart from the aesthetics this is the only criticism I have really. It's clear Logitech put a lot of R&D into this wheel. It's a great product. The pedals are perfectly good but don't bring anything new to the table really. Again, well designed, insane amount of adjustability and nice they also included a tuning kit. I mean they're good pedals but no reason to get them over others in the price bracket (apart from the fact you can connect them to wheel and tweak them from the wheelbase)

9:14 incorrect. It has a plastic shell but it has a metal chassis. Boosted Media done a teardown of the base and showed that it has a metal chassis inside.

Magnetic paddle shifter and analog clutch feel great but not configurable in length, angle... anyway they are well positioned, shifting paddles are not noisy and have a nice travel. The QR is solid as a rock, way better than Fanatec's. I think the rim is between a Fanatec's BMW GT2 and a Podium R300 considering quality and features. Very happy with it for now.

What I would like to know is what arcade racers will work with this wheel. Obviously the ones on the official list. But what about older games like grid 2, dirt 2/3 , NFS series. There is an g923 compatibility mode. Does this mean it will work with all games that worked on g923?

@@SimRacingCorner from support - In the vast majority of cases, if a title supports the Logitech G29, G920, or G923, then the PRO Wheel will also work - which is good!
@@mangs9940 Great, that's good to hear. I would certainly expect this since the DD Pro is using the same G HUB software the other Logitech wheels use too.

How did you get your wheel to work with AMS2? When I went to set mine up it doesn’t show the Logitech DD wheel as an option. Did you have to put it into the G923 mode and set it up as that?
Really good to get your thoughts. Been on my trusty G29 all the way when it came out then moved to the Thrustmaster T300RS which is currently serving me well though I am looking to step up to a DD and I have to admit the Logitech though a bit pricey looks like a really good wheel. Just waiting to see the Thrustmaster DD offering and then I will make a decision. With the Thrustmaster, apparently you can reuse your old rims if it is good and priced right it will be an easy buy...if not I will go Logitech...and Truforce sounds interesting as I can see a direct drive making better use of it..
I have bought a Thrustmaster DD (arriving sometime in December), so stick around as I will of course review it when it arrives. The Logitech G Pro is very good, it's going to be hard to beat.
@@TheBubblejones Got the same setup. Amazing. I have driven this wheel in both GT7 and ACC, and the implementation of Trueforce in GT7 is way better, in my opinion.
to be fair its not that hard to beat moza, cammus and entry level fanatec, you go all the way from those ultra budget corner cutting pieces to a fkn 3k bodnar and yes, considering the price this logitec make sense in your experience, it would be more interesting to see your opinion after trying something like a simucube2 sport, VRS, DD1 or even an alpha mini..
@@SimRacingCorner yeah i understand that, just saying that there are products that offer more than the logitec while being around the 1k mark and probably people bashing on logitech come from those dd's segment, not the csl dd vs r9 crowd
@@caliginousmoira8565 yes. pretty much everything DD is pc only outside of this and fanatec stuff, maybe thrustmaster will join soon, but honestly if you are going to drop this much cash on a wheel you want to get a pc first
I respect and appreciate your opinion on this as you stated you used your own money and have experience with several other wheelbases. Nearly all other sim reviewers received there wheels for free and seem like they are using it as an opportunity to progress there careers as tuber influencers more then tell the absolute truth. Im waiting for logitech to improve there ecosystem to pull the trigger as im not keen on sending my money to chinese owned companies with questionable motivations and business tactics which excludes many recent companies out.
I ended up buying it, to make a long story short, the wheel design is a kids toy with many ergonomic issues and very sparse inputs, i run into frequent clipping at my desired ffb gain level, have an issue where its constantly pulsating in game menus, true force is a useless gimmick and i have it disabled.
@@SimRacingCorner Will the new adapter enable the pedals to be used with other Logi wheels? I know that the cheaper pedals and H shifter can be used by buying the new adapter. I bought it with my G Pro but haven't used it yet.
Can somebody help me out here. Can you connect the Thrustmaster shifter and handbrake at the back? Does it work when i play GT7 and AC on the PS5? Or does the shifter and handbrake only work with PC?
Great review can i use my old Logitech Driving Force GT pedals to save money till used Pro pedals come onto the market i only play on PC,my old pedals are single cable USB to PC? The looks are old fashioned looking and plasticky and the wheel and base looks bloated making me ponder buying it,Thrustmater due to announce a possible DD drive November 17th too?
This wheel does not look cheap. Feel surprised you comment like this. In my opinion it looks much better than the industrial looking Fanatecs or Mozas. The rim itself looks and feels 10X better than the 923 or 920.
Not at the moment. Maybe in the future Logitech launches more rings compatible with Xbox that you can plug on your PS base, very like Fanatec does. But not at the moments
I'd be curious to know what FFB settings you use for AMS2 because there's no way it's more detailed and engaging than ACC. If anything I find AMS2's FFB to be completely bland, to the point where i find the F1 22 FFB to be much more detailed than AMS2. SC2 pro user here.
I've run AMS2 on a number of different DD wheelbase models/brands (most of those, I've reviewed on the channel), and it's way more detailed than ACC with every one of those wheelbases. I haven't used a Simucube so I can't add anything to that.
I think peoples expectation was Logitech budget DD, but no where have I seen the word budget DD base from Logitech. Its priced right in its slot. With pedals in Australian $2000 which is just over a 8nm CSL DD with V2.5 Pedals and wheel. Console compatible. If it lasts as long as G29 then its a win. Don' t get hung up on the looks. Its the same motor just in a box. Like when people were criticizing Moza for their R16 bases.
@@SimRacingCorner true, but then it's also 17nm so more oomph for more money. That's the problem when comparing sim gear..it's apples with oranges every time. Will be interesting to see what aftermarket wheels Logitech come up with.
A lot of people also sleep on the accuforce v2 as well. With a good tune it can feel amazing and it has the frequency range to also give effects comparable to trueforce. It can put out some real convincing effects like engine rpm and such. With the update that enabled cloud tuning it’s as easy as a single click to get a great tune too. Too many people are bandwagon fans in this hobby and the community is full of confirmation bias so it’s hard to get good opinions a lot of the time.
I've reviewed probably past a dozen wheelbases, so I would consider I have a decent amount of experience to give fair assessments. I haven't used an Accuforce, so I can't and won't make a guesswork comparison, because I can't say if Trueforce is comparable. Personally, I wouldn't say Trueforce is a priority selling point for this DD. It is a layer over the top of the normal FFB, and it actually drowns out the clean nuisance detail of the pure physics based FFB. The Logitech is extremely good in this area, only slightly bettered by my Leo Bodnar. And that alone is very impressive.
Will this be a good upgrade from my Logitech driving force GT? I feel the force feedback is too strong on my current wheel so I wonder if this is much different
Good review. Glad it performs better than it looks and I don't mind how it looks at all, maybe a bit big. So it's better than the Moza R9 and CSL DD, but it's twice the price. Is it twice as good though? My experience with higher priced equipment is that you get to a point where you get diminishing returns the higher the price goes. Yeah it's better, but is it better in equal amounts to how much more it costs?
Twice the price? CSL DD Pro + RS rim + CSL LC pedals + shipping = 600+350+300+70 = 1.320€. This Logitech is 1.400€ shipping included. You get much more from Logitech for 1.400 than from Fanatec for 1.300.
@@lsb79 I should have been more specific, Moza R9 with CS wheel. I can't get Fanatec in my part of the world at a decent price. But yeah, you are right, it's not twice the price. Still, is it proportionally better compared to cost vs. a Moza R9 base and CS wheel solution? It was not a statement, it was a question. I asked because I am researching upgrading from a Thrustmaster TS-XW and the MOZA R9 plus CS wheel seems like the best option considering what you get for what you pay, aka, value.
Something I'll look to cover in the review. Diminishing returns, yeah. There's a point with all this sim hardware where the percentage of gains is small vs. the increase of cost.
Great first impressions, I have been looking at the Moza R9 with CS wheel and Srp pedals as Fanatec isn’t available in NZ. However, I use both PC and PlayStation so need PS compatibility (which Moza say they are working on). This new Logitech wheel and pedals looks like it will solve those problems for me even though it is NZD $2000! And pedals NZD $700! I am a previous G27 owner, currently running a G29 so trust Logitech for quality and compatibility. Would be nice to see their plans for add-ons and additional rims. I will fit my new axc brake mod to my G29 pedals when I return from my trip to the UK and see how things go whilst I try and save NZD $2700! 😰
I want this to be good. I want Logitech to be great again. I used to be a buy a lot of logitech hardware. But quality has really tanked in the last 5 years and their return process has become more complicated and slow. I still have a Logi mouse, its the RMA mouse, the first lasted 14 months. This one is 6 months old and its already showing wear. It's NOT as good as the version of this model I purchased for $99.00USD. I will look at other brands when I tire of this one. I spent $500 on Logi mechanical keyboards and RMAed all 3, and all 6 lasted less then 4 years. I have had this cheap mechanical I got off newegg for $55.00 for over 2 years now and its perfect in every way still...... The only logi device I have that has lasted is a PS style game pad. But its 10 years old now... Logitech was a different company back then....
Idk man, I have a G29 for 4 years now, a G pro x Superlight for 1,5 years, and a Logitech g610 keyboard for 4 years. The only thing that doesn't work is the volume dial on the g610 and this doesn't bother me. So I have a pretty good experience with Logitech stuff and would buy it again.
Mine has developed multiple vertical lines of dead pixels on the OLED screen. Also it starts to vibrate when not in use and wheel shakes slightly after an hour or so of use - and it loses force-feedback strength until it is reset. I am going to have to return this one :( It is brilliant other than that, I agree with your comments.

@@SimRacingCorner You are a total life saver. I just did a few recording sessions with the settings you proposed. And damn it is looking superb!
When you say you upscale to 2k. Do you do that with your video editing software or OBS?
I don't have an Xbox or Ps4/5. Which version of the Pro racing wheel should i buy? Does it come down to resellable value only?
It's a good point. PlayStation consoles out sell Xbox consoles worldwide, so the PS edition is probably the better choice for resale.
i wish someone made a metal outer shell for it because this is my favourite wheel base out of any i own, right now I’ve covered up the plastic with liveries to hide it lmao
Lol. Why get a carbon wrap or make one?
What monitor is that?
Dude how do you get the hand movements like that. I've seen ppl do it but very badly. This was great.
What settings it feels floaty on automobilista and iRacing but not on acc. Not sure what’s wrong
This wheel is amazing btw
What I would like to know is what arcade racers will work with this wheel. Obviously the ones on the official list. But what about older games like grid 2, dirt 2/3 , NFS series. There is an g923 compatibility mode. Does this mean it will work with all games that worked on g923?
The G923 mode is exactly that, so technically older games that support the G923, will make the G PRO to work with those games.
@@SimRacingCorner thanks for that.
The reason I asked was that grid 2 , NFS heat / payback /2016 and dirt 3 are officially supported by the g923 but are not mentioned in compatibility list even with g923 mode.
When people say this wheel is too expensive they don't factor in that the return policy is 30 days and the warranty is 2 years. Fanatec is 14 days and 1 year. So the G Pro is twice as long. After purchase warranty and service matter on expensive products.
And free shipping. There's $100 right there.
How did you get your wheel to work with AMS2? When I went to set mine up it doesn’t show the Logitech DD wheel as an option. Did you have to put it into the G923 mode and set it up as that?
I picked the wheel 'Custom' mode in AMS2 and mapped the wheel from there.
This wheel plus PSVR2, GT7, and Trueforce is truly amazing!
Budget limitations are always going to impact what I'm able to do.
@@SimRacingCorner yeah i understand that, just saying that there are products that offer more than the logitec while being around the 1k mark and probably people bashing on logitech come from those dd's segment, not the csl dd vs r9 crowd
The negative comments I've read seems to be coming from people who don't even have a DD to begin with.
@@Mkm0ka are they pc only?
@@caliginousmoira8565 yes. pretty much everything DD is pc only outside of this and fanatec stuff, maybe thrustmaster will join soon, but honestly if you are going to drop this much cash on a wheel you want to get a pc first
How do you find this wheel stacks up to the Simagic Alpha Mini in terms of force feedback and software and just overall?
I haven't used the Simagic, so can't say.
What kind of gloves are you using for simracing? Are they karting gloves?
I use mountain bike gloves. I covered sim racing gloves in video a while back.... ruclips.net/video/yJDf9VTdWq4/видео.html
I've heard that the oedals will work with the g29 - do you jave any idea if this is true?
On PC you can. The pedals are USB.
you can buy an adaptor now, yes, from logitech, £40
@DjMarkyBatch appreciate people like you bro even tho I saw it a few weeks ago
@@THIS---GUY it always helps other readers of the comments too. :) have a great night
That won't work on PC either if you try and plug those devices into the back of the Logitech wheelbase.
On PC, any USB pedal set will work with this wheelbase. I guess you converted your old DFGT pedals to USB?
the is an adaptor released now from Logitech to use old G920 pedals and shifter, its £40 on LogitechG site.
You can use your old Logitech pedals now. An adapter is now available that allows the G Pro wheel to be used with other Logitech peripherals.
This wheel does not look cheap. Feel surprised you comment like this. In my opinion it looks much better than the industrial looking Fanatecs or Mozas. The rim itself looks and feels 10X better than the 923 or 920.
Question for those who have this wheel.
When i but a PlayStation one. Is there ANY chance to ever play on Xbox? Maybe some adapter od something?
Not at the moment. Maybe in the future Logitech launches more rings compatible with Xbox that you can plug on your PS base, very like Fanatec does. But not at the moments
@@thegordonbr Boosted Media does a review of the console versions, and explains the compatability issues you talk about.
Does this wheel come availeble for ps5?
Yes, it's PC and PS4/5 compatible.
Hey dude, do you have anywhere i can contact you at like discord etc.. i need some help with button boxes/ custom wheels.. thanks
I like the Wheel , cant afford it , but i like it! Let see what Thrustmaster will do with their DD wheel. Its time my g25 to rest :P :)
I’d love to hear a simucube 2 review from you
Yeah, that would be great, but I don't see that opportunity happening on the horizon.
At the price it's not really in the same bracket as the moza and CSL though. How is it compared to the simucube is the real question.
Maybe not in price, but the torque is closer to those wheelbases than it is to the simucube.
@@SimRacingCorner price is everything
In which case the simucube is quite a bit more expensive when you factor in a steering wheel and mounting bracket.
This is about 4.5x more torque than the DFGT. But of course you can run the strength lower.
I not good at english so i just have a question what is this game? Thank you so much. Graphic is really real.
Automobilista 2.
@@T1NYT Wait for the Thrustmaster DD to be released and then decide...

Second youtube chanell who loves this, i would buy it, IF I HAD THE CASH
