@@wd40glock yeah it’s definitely a bold claim, but I think it holds true. Take a look at the sheets for the drum break, the stuff in there rivals most snare solos. I haven’t looked at a lot of books before 2014, but I’ve seen most top 6 books from 2015 onwards and this has gotta be one of the hardest, and the execution is amazing
@@skeletizer as someone from the 2015 and 2016 line, I can say this is definitely better than anything we’ve done. Couldn’t be happier to watch it happen.
Is anyone not surprised of how fast the center snare drummer is leading the excercise? That is breath-taking to have to memorize each and every count of under pressure while the drum line is on his count,
Incredible! Kudos to every member of this ensemble. One of the most intricate, fast, difficult books I've heard in years... And they pull it off... In July! Thank you for pushing the envelope even further than last year's Crusaders... which I didn't think was even possible!
This year has changed my Negative Boston Bias. Congratulations on all of your current accomplishments. Looking forward to see if the growth will yield a historic moment. Continue to pursue excellence and you’ll have no problems making history.
If these guys dont win Stanford this year and somehow scv beats them im gonna be genuinely surprised. I mean yeah scv has a good balance of meaty and tasty parts but Bostons book this year is just so difficult on so many levels and they're nailing it. Not saying SCV's book is easier this year im just saying to me Boston is playing just as cleanly as they are with a more difficult book. This line has changed so much since 2016 its astonishing so im hoping they push for stanford!
Seeing this line play reds rhumba was so insane and felt full circle from the 1993 star of Indiana line. And the fact they're on pearl makes it so much better.
That snare feature in in the opener is so freaking exposed and the amount of detail they've put into it from where the accents are to the tone quality is incredible! That's all I can really say as I'm a brass/visual person who doesn't play any percussion instruments! But when someone who doesn't know anything really knows how clean it is, that really says something!
2022 Boston battery percussion was the best in the business, hands down, writing and performance. Pit writing (not the musicians) was weak and disappointing though. Not enough memorable or substantive keyboard moments throughout the show (mallets, not synth), zero meaningful contribution during the percussion feature, and minimal contribution in the ballad (where top pits usually shine with virtuosic mallet keyboard writing and performance). That cost them the Fred Sanford award. Hopefully they rectify that in 2023.
This has gotta be one of the hardest battery books in DCI history, and thankfully they got this amazing line to do it justice
It's the same difficulty as the Cadets 2016's book but better executed, big props to BAC and McNutt
Hard to put that title out there. But it’s certainly a top 10.

Bd had harder stuff in 2010…
This is a landmark drumline.
The level of control here is crazy, keep pushing for the Sanford!
THEE Best line this year! Go Boston!
This is a drumline whose beautiful cleanliness would exceed even Gus Fring's standards.
Fred Sanford ‘22. Get it, BAC!
Absolutely incredible. Super exposed and executed to perfection.

High drums or we burn it all down

“Yeah so then after I wrote the book I went through and added a BUNCH more notes”
I've never been this happy to be early 🙌🏾 Let's go BAC

I love this line. They got it all. I hope they get even cleaner by finals.

It is easier. Nothing against SCV at all. But no one has a book this hard ‘22. And it’s clean af.
is stanford a place or particular contest?
@@arfshesaid4325 it’s an award. It’s actually the Sanford award named after Fred Sanford. It’s the name of the award for high percussion at finals.
@@jaredkronenwetter7460 thanks , Stanford was what i read and still do.
@@arfshesaid4325 lol, gotta love that autocorrect….
Incredible!!!!!!!
center is such a chad
4:10 such versatile mucisians to be able to move across drum heights like that haha
they marched infinity together so they're already synced
Good sounds. Go get the Fred.
i’m loving BAC
Incredible!!!! High Demand. High Execution. My goodness these guys are good …
Stoked to see you guys in Indy ! Let's GOO BAC
I love the warmup with the accents on one hand and a diddle on the other. They sounded like really smooth triplets.
Dude.... they look intimidating af and I love it
The percussion section getting less than 2nd at finals will really be a disservice to this line.
hrmmm bad news...

The on yer neighbor part for the end tenor during Spanks must be a delight to play.
Not as bad as one might think
10:16 the car horn classic 😩
Holy shit 11:11 great control on the roll... so tight between the snares and basses. Love it
This line is incredible, best roll quality hands down
If y’all don’t get Sanford this year I SWEAR
They play so ballsy

Lots and lots of talent. They just don’t seem to be having fun
They’re just focused
They don’t need to act like they’re having fun. They’re having fun by executing. Just a different way of expression than other lines
Lol wut
This musicians are locked in
