Beautiful drawing, I really liked what Cat said about relinquishing control when drawing/painting plein air, and focusing on capturing the overall essence, mood, color, etc. The Pastèis looked very delicious, would love to try one💕!
Oh my goodness, yes! I would binge this on repeat. And all they would need to do is tune into the other Art Prof videos - specifically, Prof Lieu's tutorials - to know that the perfect person is right there. The inner-dialogue is brilliant as well as the talented teaching skills she has.
Someone told me when this Portuguese egg tarts first landed in Taiwan, Taiwanese went crazy and they simply lined in for hours just to get it; then stores making this egg tart just popped up everywhere. The real one is really good, now they are making in Boston Chinatown bakery store. The real thing is the layered crust which is SO GOOD!
Expert job of using values and colour to guide the viewer to each part of the drawing. The darkest value took me directly to the hero, then to the orange juice in the glass , then the corner of my eye catches the writing on the bottle, explore there a bit, then like a magnet, im drawn to the logo on the front of the box.
I find that mixed media sketchbooks are lovely for markers! Though the alcohol based ones do bleed a bit... Maybe watercolor paper would work! - Mia, Art Prof Staff
I really like the way cat talked about picking out the color to match the scene.

Ideal paper for alcohol markers is Color Copy by Mondi (uncoated). Super smooth and very nice for gradients.

Egg whites were not used to make soap! They were used to ironing church clothes, to made them stiff
Ooh that's interesting! - Mia, Art Prof Staff
Did you get sad when your brush pen get out of ink out of blue when drawing a plein air? Idk, for me I do
