I feel like the band played way harder because of the way the camera operator interacted with them. If there had been a tripoded camera in front of the stage, I don't think the band would have played as well. Kind of a fascinating interplay.
I swear Navarro was so dope in this era ibanez's that he played at the time were insane and the dreads were perfect on him during this time and the rest of the band fucking rocked

I count myself as phenomenally lucky to have seen Janes' at The Marquee in London in Feb 1991. The day Perry shaved his head. The more years go by, the more videos I see of them on RUclips, the more I realise how privileged I was to be there that evening with 800 other sweaty violent beautiful people. Saw them a few days later at Brixton Academy. Which was less violent but no less beautiful. They were so special. This video portrays it better than most I've seen.
Yeah you are super lucky. I had that gig on vhs. They really were ‘the’ band…. Missed them when you saw them, then a no show at reading….. finally got to see them as they came back together for strays…. But you know they’d lost their youth a bit by then and are a bit more seasoned.
Reminds me of all the good E I had those days. I buddy of mine dropped off a quarter of E, capsules and rubber gloves right before he went to jail. Needless to say I tried to save it but alas… ah the good ‘ol days 😢
