Tiger's first shot was way better than most of the shots that came after. This list just the shots which came in more crucial times

What’s pretty crazy is that he’s probably player of the decade and underperformed quite drastically below his potential. I truly believe Rory was golfs first shot to have another Tiger Woods.

Best shot I ever saw was at an LPGA event. Couldn't tell you her name, had a big Texas flag on her bag. She had hit it long past the elavated green, and up against the stands. She takes a driver, punches it in to the burn, it pops up, lands on the green and rolls within a foot. Great shot
Rickies WFC win for his first is so underrated. He beat the defending US open champion and world #1 and the dude that was a member at Quail Hollow and would win the US open that same year...Webb Simpson.

Why feature the best shot first? It can only go downhill from there. I remember seeing that shot of Tiger live on TV. Best shot I have ever seen. Ever. That amount of sidespin is unreal.

DJ’s celebrations is off the charts. Almost holes out a par 4 from the tee, hardly moves a face muscle. Gotta love it!

because the pga tour doesn’t own the majors like the masters, the open, the us open, and the pga championship.

Is Fowler's gap wedge shot (#17) really one of the best of the decade? He sticks it close and makes a birdie putt, sure it's to win the tournament but I'm sure there's a better shot out there somewhere that could've replaced that one. Other than that a really good list
Americans are obsessed with the idea of "clutch" play. So if this shot was anywhere else on the course, or even the same hole the round before, it would be nowhere near this list.

So I am relatively new to golf still, the very first clip with tiger woods, why did he curve his club like that at the end? I’m assuming it was to get the ball to curve more but 🤷🏼♂️
JT’s hole out to get into the playoff with Phil at the WGC should have been atleast top five, and so should Ricky’s shot at the players..imo.

Aren't double eagles the most rare shot in golf? Shouldn't they be a bit higher in the list here. I mean sure Rory's hole out was important to the win but it wasn't any more impressive than the hold in ones and double eagles.
There's a lot of luck involved in shots that long. Yes, skill is required to be able to hit it close, but lots of luck to actually hole it. I feel like long putts, pitches, chips and shorter shots from sand, water, etc really show skill. I guess if you're ranking them, it depends on what you think is most impressive.
What do I have to give to get Jordan Spieth back
No way a shot through the trees that by happenstance lands on the green should ever rank higher than an albatross, let alone two albatrosses, even if the successive putt results in the win.
And aces are so much more common that albies, which further makes those 3-under shots so much more impressive. Sand hole-outs are also a dime a dozen.
Also, I don’t care how much is on the line, an improbable putt should never outrank an albatross.
That check out of that water shot was spectacular (still doesn’t beat an albie, like many of the other “better” rankings).

Ryan Hooks well tigers chip in on 16 at Augusta is the greatest shot in the history of golf and his put on the 72nd in the us open is the second anyway. Then if gene is lucky his shot would be next

#25 - full iron shot out of a bunker, cut around trees , hits green and spins side and back to within a few feet, a display of amazing skill, imagination and artistry - vs- #6 a bog standard bunker shot that was over hit and may well have got wet if it hadn't luckily hit the pin and drop in. Amazing ability vs sheer luck....... Who the feck compiled this list????
I guess the timing of the shot makes it great because tigers shot was amazing but jordan speith shot mattered more because that was to get into a playoff(which he won).
