The only I would recommend would be a couple North American rescue CAT tourniquets between you and your team! Great life saver, light weight, and easy to store on a belt, outside of the pack, or in a top pouch that’s easy to get to! Great stuff gentlemen! Keep up the solid work! Thanks again for the opportunity to enter.
I take way too much to camp, but we usually head out minimalist so we can cover ground. Temperatures will dictate as well. If it’s warmer we will carry enough to try and preserve meet if the circumstance presents itself……it never has…..but we plan for success and cover as many scenarios as possible.
I am coming up to Oregon to chase elk around with a bow this year. I can't wait to go and run around up there again. I have a hair tag so its pretty much if it's brown it's down. I love elk meat and just hope we can get something
My buddy and I drew an area where we can elk and deer hunt in a pretty dry and warm area. We want to camp near our hunting areas and/or hike a bit of a loop. Two questions: 1. How close do you camp to your hunting area? 2. In a dryer warmer climate, which is more important, North slopes with cover, water acces, or both? Thanks guys, your experiences and advise has really helped me grow a ton as a hunter.
Just other quick question, is there a way you guys could put a video together on field dressing an animal or even just talk about it?? I know it would be super beneficial to me. Thanks for everything you guys do!!!
All I know is if you are new to hunting, you can succeed and be successful. I just picked up hunting and 3 years ago and ever since I learned tips from BRO, Gritty, Hush, and Elk Shape I always find animals. Now killing them is a different subject lol. I even took someone on their first hunt and they got to watch me harvest a massive Oregon bear. Just have to figure out these Elk and Deer now!
I am stoked for shot angles!! My question is what to do with the meat when it's too hot in September to let it hang in camp for the remainder of the trip....???
Awesome overview video on your gear, whether out in the backcountry with a backpack 🎒 or the front country out of a truck 🛻. Sadly I don’t have a truck 🛻 just a little Chevy Cruze that a sweet DeckD system won’t fit in. I definitely don’t have a meat 🍖 hauling backpack 🎒 yet, not even for whitetail deer 🦌 here in West Virginia or PA or Ohio if I go. I almost bought an EXO when they had the Blemish sale in the spring but had to back off the idea. I like the amateur video hour idea 💡 for next year’s Elk week. I don’t have a tag 🏷 so I won’t be able to participate. Hopefully in a couple years when I try to get a 1st rifle tag 🏷 in Colorado. Thanks for sharing guys. Appreciate all you do.
I enjoy everything you guys make and say it help so much thx to your videos I called a bull in last year to 20 yards and also what would you guys do when a bull comes in and freezes and about 50 yards what’s your number one help tip to help call in a bull easier
Super great content you guys always put out! Thank you for the time you put into these videos. Thanks for clarifying the “scam Hoyt rx7” got that call a few weeks ago from a copycat channel. One of those “too good to be true” calls but man they tried hard!
supper jacked for this season Strand could tell you what ive got going on , maybe ill get it on video for you guys. good luck this season and stay safe. #earlsgonnadie
No better time than the present as we are only getting older and tags are getting harder to come by… set up a 1 year plan and get out there life is not a guarantee but I’ll guarantee you’ll never miss the money spend on your first trip elk hunting!!!
I absolutely love the idea of using a dry bag to put the things you don't need during the day to drop at your camp area to lighten your pack! I will 100% be using that this year! So thanks for that for sure!
Awesome video's guys! Would you mind to elaborate a little more on the somewear device Kody talked about? How well does it work, does it take a monthly subscription, etc... Just giving your personal opinion on it. We hunt in colorado with little to no cell service and I'm trying to find something that would be effective and worth the money! Looking forward to the rest of the weeks videos!
So my dad and I are driving out to Colorado near walsenburg for a two week hunt mid September. I’ve been watching y’all for the last year, the hunting public guys got me watching y’all. And Trents setup is exactly what I’m going for with this being mine and my dads first time hunting elk. Y’all’s videos have definitely been giving me the extra knowledge I need. Thanks guys
I love you guys me and my daughters watch every video lots of good info I'm in western wa getting all ready for the season good luck to you guys this 22 season thanks for all the great content god bless you guys and your family's
In you the video Trent says to text elk to your number and that doesn’t work you got to make sure and text elk week. But on another not love what you guys are doing and this week is going to help everyone.
I think I have a lot in common with Trent 😂 Cause that's me! Packing everything including the kitchen sink! But also this is a super helpful video and I enjoyed seeing Kody's gear dump I will be making some changes this season
Two things I was surprised that your pack was in the 30# range I figured you were packing 100# with everything. On calling when your rifle hunting would you cow call while in that season. Or if you snap a stick. But as always you guys killed it catch you tomorrow
Can't speak for them but my first bull was killed during rifle season by cow calling. Called him into 20 yards (he snuck in behind me lol) and it was quite the shock!
Congrats to the winner.. I'm actually getting to go hunting this year, it's a bit overwhelming, so I'm working on everything now, getting food already, been working on my Rig, I still need a rifle, but that will happen soon.. Thanks for this series, it's keeping me going. Much respect and love guys..
Congratulations to the winner. Getting pumped,

Hahaha Trent. "God just made you small". Too funny bro. I dig that truck box setup.
Blows my mind all that you have in you pack. And to maintain that low of a weight!
So glad you hit on medical.
Love the exo bag
Good stuff guys. The season is getting sooo close.
great work guys
interesting to see the setups. elk season is upon us
Enjoying Elk Week !!!
Great pickup system, holds the kitchen sink.

U guys definitely have some bad ass gear
Good job
I enjoy watching, you guys rock!!!!
Lots of great info guys, love it
Awesome, getting jacked for September!!
ELK WEEK
Yes
Elk week!
Solid info, a lot of people scramble to load their pack, and waaaaay over pack
Most of us over pack. Myself, I am always taking one to loan, one to lose, an one to use.
Push comes to shove you can always use your lighter for a windicator. The way we used to do it 30 years ago 😂
I'm with you Trent. I'm driving so I can have everything I need lol.
Thanks for the info on solo calling. I'm solo 90% of the time
I go Hunting in September chasing New Mexico Elk watching these videos got me stoked!!
Awesome gear dump video, I’m the kitchen sink guy, only because I’m the caller and the camp cook
Love it guys. Thanks for sharing
Love the content very informational thank you

Thanks for the info, this helps a lot!
You guys rock!!! Can’t wait to hit colorado this year for our first elk hunt
As a Paramedic, and a bow hunter... You really need to add a tourniquet to your pack!
Great gear dump and info. Yes be respectful to your fellow hunters don't be the guy who ruins others hunts
Love your videos keep ‘em coming God bless
Wet wipes are a must! After years of having my butt conditioned by 200 grit toilet paper via the military, I always bring more wet wipes than I need.
Any left handed bows?
Let’s hear more about the somewear device ! Looks like it’s out of stock !
My feet are pristine. I love it. lol
Drue MT archery elk tag. Holey F Cody that is a light pack. I can't get mine under 50
Heck yes elk week !!!
Can’t wait for my first elk hunt with my father in Idaho in October!!!!!
That's awesome. I'm in Idaho, which unit
Good luck Bud ✌🏼😎 your first one is a massive deal. Get a wolf tag just in case 🇺🇸
What part of Idaho? I live up north
Chett, are you going to take me to your favorite whitetail spot 🤪
Good luck!
Short people come from quickies
It’s a dream for me to hunt elk with a bow
Love that shirt you’re wearing in the uncut Kody. Where do I get one?? Love the content!
Stoked! Thanks for the info. Unit 71 in CO was brutal last year! I dare you to go. Ron Burgundy is still up there somewhere....
I am coming up to Oregon to chase elk around with a bow this year. I can't wait to go and run around up there again. I have a hair tag so its pretty much if it's brown it's down. I love elk meat and just hope we can get something

In coach!!!

You folks coming to Montana this year

Another great video with lots of good advice and tips.
Just other quick question, is there a way you guys could put a video together on field dressing an animal or even just talk about it?? I know it would be super beneficial to me. Thanks for everything you guys do!!!
My feet are pristine, THERE BEAUTIFUL
Great tip on vacuum sealing game bags, etc. to save space in pack. Also, telescoping fishing rod... hmmm need that!
Idk how you guys pack so light lol I pack everything it seems like... 2 of everything

I drew my first elk tag this year in 10 years! Love you guys!
Good luck! Hope it's an awesome hunt!
@@natespnwadventures thank you!!
Thanks Trent for showing the tool box. Having a ladder in the toolbox is an excellent idea.
How do you prep for really cold weather in your pack?
Would really like to see a daily food bag video and reasons for carrying certain foods and nutrition values
Trent do u bring that little telescoping pole into the backcountry if there is going to be some fishable water
I enjoy everything you guys make and say it help so much thx to your videos I called a bull in last year to 20 yards and also what would you guys do when a bull comes in and freezes and about 50 yards what’s your number one help tip to help call in a bull easier
Super helpful on what’s in the pack. Thank you!
Super great content you guys always put out! Thank you for the time you put into these videos.
Thanks for clarifying the “scam Hoyt rx7” got that call a few weeks ago from a copycat channel.
One of those “too good to be true” calls but man they tried hard!
Deck system is perty sweet. How far in do you guys go when you start considering staying the night..
Are we going to see you guys hunting whitetail hunting with untamed and the hunting public???
Yep still working on plans but it’s on the horizon.
I don't ever see you guys using scent killers. Is there a reason why you don't?
Great series by the way very helpful information on packing lite.
supper jacked for this season Strand could tell you what ive got going on , maybe ill get it on video for you guys. good luck this season and stay safe. #earlsgonnadie
Elk is on my bucket list for sure!!! One of these days!!!

Would also add a small tarp and parachute cord to the pack. Love you guys. Thank you for all the entertainment and knowledge you pass on to us.
Been waitting all day . lets goooo
Great video guys. How often do you need a new Sawyer Squeeze filter? And after you use it, how do you store it for a few weeks or months?
Great video guys! Super simple but extremely helpful!
In you the video Trent says to text elk to your number and that doesn’t work you got to make sure and text elk week. But on another not love what you guys are doing and this week is going to help everyone.

Pnw you get better choices for sure. I’m on the east side of Washington.never killed an elk being only get to shoot spikes. One day maybe
@@hotrodjim60 I hope so too! Try putting in for out of state hunts or hunt the west coast of Washington. I've seen some dandy bulls come out of there
Hoyt give away, even if I won it, don’t know any who would buy it
Impressive packing! Thanks for all the gear info.
If your hunting in backcountry, you only pack one pair of hunting clothes?
Elk week just became my second favorite week!! The best being the week of the hunt.
Absolutely love the amount of fun and joking around you guy's do. Just a great informative group of guys.
Indeed! They definitely love one another 🇺🇸 it shows…
Congrats to the winner..
