Great review! You go over a lot of things that most car reviewers do not. Also enjoy the relaxed feel of your videos! I’m curious how you would compare the comfort driving that exact spec model with those 22” versus a model with the 20” all season setup. I know you briefly talked about the 22” in the video. Is the comfort and road noise significantly different less with 20’s or not much of a noticeable difference? Thanks!!
Thanks! Road noise would be based on the tire. So if they have the same tires, just 20” vs 22”, generally the ride is a bit harder the larger the wheel because of less side wall. I had an XM with 23’s for a week and I didn’t notice a harsh ride, but I have a lifted truck and am used to a harder suspension. But even the 23’s were quiet and smooth. I would still with 20’s for pricing. Tires are less expensive. 22’s and 23’s are more “rare”, so cost more and easier to curb the larger you go!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Awesome! That was very helpful. I am leaning towards getting the 20” for max comfort. Will test drive to compare soon. Definitely appreciate your time. Keep the vids coming!!

Do you mean the M competition? The 2024 has more power and the subtle changes that you see inside and out. If you like the new design go for that! But you could find a 23 or even a used 23 for much less so just depends on your budget as well.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed thank you.. either way I am getting a brand new, just was not sure about the year.. the new curved panel is not my favourite but maybe is the matter of time to get used to it.. but as per your comment, I won't go wrong even if I go for 23 model M pro (it is an upgraded version from the "basic" x5 M.
Got the Brooklyn grey with the pro package. The only thing I didn’t get were the black wheels. The6 didn’t have an all season option. Should be coming any day I hope. The only annoying things are lack of a shifter and not enough buttons
You can open both rear hatches with one step. you can find that option in the settings. My 2021 has more lighting options and the settings are trimmed in aluminum. I prefer the gear shifter in mine over the tiny toggle switch. I see a lot of cost cutting by BMW, and they raised the price of the X5. I may keep my 2021 at the lease end in December.
I haven’t seen that setting before! What cost cutting do you see? A new shifter design doesn’t mean it’s cheaper. If you enjoy yours great! I’d get a 24 over the older ones, buts that’s me.
My brother has this exact car but it’s a 2023 model X5 M sport and he doesn’t have a spare tire. His wife has the 2022X5 M sport and it doesn’t have a spare either. If you go through the option list that’s not one of the options. I went on the configurator.
Nice car. Even Consumer Reports highly recommends them. Depreciation is terrible, so after paying considerable maintenance costs, you lose on depreciation (not to mention premium fuel costs, higher insurance costs). If you have the money, it’s not a bad purchase.
Depreciation is bad on brand new ones, I’d buy a good used one. I don’t agree on maintenance or higher insurance. So many factors go into insurance. My Audi R8 is $40 a month full coverage, it takes premium as well. Nothing different from let’s say a 370Z that takes premium as well or a camaro.
I’m not a fan with German cars. But this X5 is way better looking for than before. But still BMW are expensive compared to other luxury brands like Acura Infiniti and Lexus . But this X5 is a good vehicle non sport X5M for daily use in. Plus. The in-line 6 cylinder engine is really smooth and interior incredibly smooth and excellent shape. And infotainment system is way better than before. No lag no bugs no anything and phone connection is way faster than Lexus (still Lexus worst infotainment systems even they updated and new screen)
Same boat here, I started interests with 2023 Rx500h then new GLC then eventually ordered this 2024 X5 LCI, haven't got my car but am amazed with the look/design/tech and performance. although I have to spend 10k more than a fully loaded RX500h, it is still reasonable with all these amazing options & performance.
@@realdah Congrats and I also ordered fully loaded for $80k. Compared to MDX, RX, QX this drives better, better looking and feels solid like a tank and I do not need 3 rows.
Yes, those brands are cheaper than BMW, and more reliable, too. But they are luxury vehicles, not luxury performance vehicles. Although the x5 has been dumbed down for the masses, it (at least should) appeal to a different buyer.
