Dan, where do I start. Your new intro is off the charts good! Gave me a total Daniel Craig Bond DB5 kind of vibe, and the new theme is already in my head (not a great place to be lol) It's good to see you behind the decks again. As for Gravitas Pour Homme, the presentation is incredible, I'll definitely be buying it asap. It looks stylish, classy, all the things a person would want it to be. This is how it should be done. I can think of another Big RUclipsr who's name escapes me (cough cough) who promised so much but totally failed to deliver on his overpriced toilet water. Congratulations Dan on showing the community how it should be done, and I wish you all the success in the world with it.

Gravitas reminds me a LOT of Davidoffs Zino. How those aromatics contrast with the patchouli... More powdery than Zino though. If fans of Zino are not satisfied with the current Coty formulation, check out Gravitas.
Hi Dan, I joined kickstarter in the fall as a part of the launch and I must say I have all the fragrances that you have mentioned and while I was waiting for my shipment to come I continued to watch your channel and I knew what was on it’s way. You smashed it out of the park, the fragrance is beautiful and brings back memories of my childhood as well as knowing it’s going to create new ones, masculine and elegant. My hat is off to you sir. Just received my bottle of gravitas and in wearing it a number of times I have to say I like this one. I get this very pleasant fresh baked bread 🥖 vibe about it that lasts a good while. Good job mrsmelly 👍👍👍 very wearable nice scent. I feel that this can be worn in all seasons and all situation. This could be someone’s signature scent.

Gravitas. I have a sample from your old mate Greggie boy's company fragrance samples uk.
After a sharp opening it very quickly settles into lovely scent. Yes a little bit of Pour Monsieur, but also maybe Rive Gauche.
The Fragrance Apprentice gave an excellent review in the unique way only he can pull off.
I will be purchasing Gravitas end of Summer/autumn for sure. Not only because i have enjoyed your content for 3/4 years now and i think you deserve the support. But i just happen to find it to be really high quality and right up my street in terms of the fragrances i enjoy. Well done!!

I have not try Gravitas, yet. But, your bottle is elegant and classy.
Grabbed a bottle from the Kickstarter. Very nice fragrance. I get a touch of BDP with a few others you mentioned here. Highly recommend others try it. Very nice indeed. Only criticism would be that it has slightly too much sweetness, probably the vanilla. Someone mentioned a Caron vibe and I understand that. But I'm still glad I purchased it and will wear it often.

Dan, Congrats on the success of Gravitas...firmly in my regular rotation now. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with! Oh, off topic, but consider trying Stirling Soap's Sandalwood (not Vanilla Sandalwood) lotion, balm, shave soap, or EdT....very affordable and it is unlike any sandalwood I have ever tried and it pairs incredibly well wtih vintage D&G Pour Homme or anything in that vein.

Hi Dan, quite a timely release for me this new vid! I've just got a load of Amouge samples from Fragrance Samples UK and I landed on Bracken Man this morning. I liked the zingy opening on my skin and then I was struck by a thought when it developed slightly...."what does this remind me of?"
After a while I realised it was your very own Gravitas! Not mentioned as a similar scent in your vid but on my skin it's really similar for a short while. The openings are not the same, Gravitas being bitter on initial spray rather than zesty for me but there's something in common.
Like you mentioned, the difference I get is between the change to a very dusty, damp paper vibe from Bracken Man where Gravitas stays a lot sweeter and more modern.
Both hold a very good quality Fougere DNA but I must say I prefer Gravitas over Bracken Man for its more playful and versatile scent.
Congrats on your deserved success with Gravitas Pour Homme, it really is a lovely creation that stands shoulder to shoulder with some very well known fragrances!

Hi Mr Smelly, I relly enjoy watching your videos and through your recommendations I've acquired some pretty good fragrances. Now I believe it's time to return the favour. Have you ever tried anything by Maria Candida Gentile? I think that Luberon (Parfum) and Barry Lindon (EDP) in particular might be right up yout alley. Probably Gentile (Pafum) too, but I haven't tried it yet. My favourite so far is Luberon.

I see Bois du Portugal and Invasion Barbare as significant influences here. Not so much the Chanel, Givenchy, 1725 or Houbigant... Dry down will remind some of Guerlain's Heritage or Davidoff's Zino but higher quality (since those two are both designers). The closest niche scent that is in the same category is probably Danger by Roja. All last three have serious patchouli in the dry down, so the similarity is there... I like it a lot and Gravitas grew on me since I started wearing it quite a bit!!!

Hey Dan, thanks for bringing up pour monsiuer. I know you did it because the fragrance is great but I wouldn’t have it if you didn’t talk about it, because no one else does. Absolute tragedy imo
Invasion Barbare is wildly better than 1725 and not that similar either in my opinion. Go get your Gravitas people! It's a top fragrance with Roja quality. It reminds me most of Roja's Danger Cologne in overall feeling although they are definitely different.

Ah, it's an Invicta. The secret is out. For a man who loves his "old school" you could also try a Vostok Amphibia - made in the 1960's from Russian tractor parts and still look likes it. Google Meranom and see if you can spot one you like. I have one and love it. Must check your scent out Dan - getting glowing reviews.
