Huge MrSnelly fan. Definitely one of the funniest guys in YT fragcomm; though it’s a very dry humor. I think in terms of fragrances I usually reach for, my tastes overlap with his the most closely

I think this first impression just pushed me over the top, gonna go ahead and snag a bottle.
It's an incredible scent and I have tried hundreds. Smells like Roja quality, classy and natural.
I just got a bottle of this the other day from the Kickstarter program...a top notch creation. Sort of old school...but with a modern twist! Nicely done..
I like it, a buddy of mine pledge in the kickstarter and received it about a week ago. It starts babershopish, but changes a bit into a modern classy men's fragrance.

I really liked Gravitas. The scent is essential MrSmelly: classy, on the mature side, masculine but not dated or loud. Patchouli gets a little strong in deep dry down and I think a little bit of leather to offset that would have been nice but over all great release. First fragrance released by a reviewer that I actually enjoyed!!!

Loving the FF7 reference 💪 I have sampled Gravitas and found it to be a patchouli bomb; that note dominated the whole fragrance for me. I only got 3 hours longevity too unless I buried my nose in my skin ☹️
I have supported the kickstarter campaign because i think the channel and the person is great. In a nutshell: the scent is simply great. Couldnt be more happy to have suppprted the project!!!

Would love to see a first impression on the rest of the January Scent Project stuff. Had my eye on Serin and Eiderantler for a while now.
I enjoy old school colognes, as long as they aren't over powerful. Guerlain colognes seems to follow that vibe. The hat and glasses compliment you.
Gravitas is a great gentlemen scent. It’s just not that great in longevity on my skin, but that doesn’t bother me as I can put it on for work or as a day scent and then put something else on for after hour’s/night out.
One-Winged Angel is still my favorite on the FF7 soundtrack
I have a bottle of Gravitas and I really like it. It's got a bit of flack for its lack of projection, but I think it's fine on me for the type of scent it is. It's not a huge, loud fragrance.

Sadly I didn't care for any of the January Scent Project fragrances that I sampled. They smelled too experimental but I guess that is the point. I'm very reluctant to try anymore fragrances from RUclips fragrance reviewers as they didn't do it for me. Navitus was the worse when I expected them to be the best considering Steven's knowledge of fragrances. Centauri Perfumes didn't smell finished. Kerosene by far is my favorite from a former RUclips fragrance reviewer. I might eventually get around to trying Gravitas Pour Homme.
I'm looking forward to a full review of Gravitas and comparison to those in it's class.
Smells very similar to a indian brand of perfume called - Park Avenue Gravitas Perfume.

January scent project is a breath of fresh air, and John is a really great guy. Need to try me some of that smelly sauce.

Interesting ones, looking forward to a possible dedicated review of Gravitas that old school one. About the rose one, would be interesting to see how it does in contrast with other fragrances with a major rose note, e.g. Cartier´s Declaration de un Soir, or some others? Had to think about it: Portrait of a Lady. Have not smelled any of this yet, but Portrait of a Lady is one I´m curious to check out some day.
Bought 2 with the kickstarter. No regrets.

I was expecting a couple of notes from FFVII's "One-Winged Angel" theme there at the end...
Any word on Longevity, Silliage, and Projection?
I can attest to the longevity on clothing. When I went to wash clothes, I still smelled it strongly on the collar of the t-shirt I wore 2 days prior. And the projection is at least arms length. The scent is wonderful, as Ash mentioned.
