I have spinach, now I just need my laziness to dissipate to make this HAHAH. I love korean food so much. Since going vegan tho, it’s been a bit hard. Found vegan kimchi tho made by a korean family 🥳. Thank ya Maddy for your recipes!
might want to check out seonkyoung longest channel also. she’s gone vegan fairly recently, so all of her newer recipes are vegan. you can modify many of the other ones to be vegan though.

For people interested in making this, buying frozen fruits and vegetables are not only cheaper but healthier in most cases because they're frozen as soon as they're harvested. The food in the grocery store can take weeks to get there and that's not counting the time it sits there on the shelf or the time it sits in the back.
Isn't spinach already salty? I'm curious to know how it ends up tasting.... Is it supposed to be eaten like kimchi because it's salty? Like in small portions with a lot of rice? I'm Indian, so usually when I make Palak Paneer (Spinach and Cottage cheese) curry I usually blanch the spinach (Palak) and then blend to make the curry base and cook it with the cottage cheese(Paneer) and cooking cream. I usually make this with little to no salt according to the amount of the other ingredients because the spinach is already salty.
So what if it relates to a moment when an Aussie-Korean celebrity confuses this Korean side-dish's (Banchan) pronunciation with the name of his Korean group mate (Bang Chan) making it sound like he likes to eat said Korean group mate. Nobody said it's not a common Korean word. That's literally the reason why it was a funny mistake in the first place. Also this the internet, everyone is going to jump on a meme reference when they can make one. I dare you to say " these nuts" in a video without hundreds of "deez nuts" jokes in the comments.

Boil: 10 seconds (blanching)
Cold water dunk
Drain
Season
garlic
salt
sesame seeds + oil

Why use a colander when you drain it over your countertop?
Save the saucepan. Put in colander and runs boiling water over
