Tangled Tiding is absolutely gorgeous!! Congrats on the beautiful finish!!! Glad you enjoyed some time away on the beach 🏖️ you deserve it!! ❤️
Thank you my friend!
Congrats 🎊 on your stunning 🤩 finish! Have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
That you Theresa! Happy Stitching!
When going to the beach having a good book/magazine, sunscreen and some cocktails are a must for a perfect day.
That’s the recipe for a perfect beach day.
Congratulations on the two finishes. Love both of them. I love to go to the beach but haven't been for several years. My beech sister moved away and I don't have anyone to go with anymore. I always took books to read.
My favorite activity at the beach is to watch for dolphins and whales. I do stitch but not on the sand but sitting on a bench on the boardwalk. Wishing you a good week!
I wish you a good week too. ❤️
I love to go to the beach! I always bring my beach chair, sun screen, 2 large thermos bottles filled with ice and water, and my lunch packed over ice with all of that I’m set for the day to enjoy the day!!!😎☀️
I like how you pack. ❤️
We are blest to live on the beach of beautiful South Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest….l never-ever take for granted this great gift of caring for this bit of land and sharing it with others…..we harvest clams and oysters right out our door steps for some of the best clam sauce pasta or oysters on the half shell baked with a bit of lemon and hot sauce …..my stitching and knitting are at my fingertips in baskets…..while yes a good book or audiobook with a bit of adult bubbly in the evening…..
You’re a woman after my own heart. Love your choice of items to have by your side. The fresh seafood dishes sound so tasty!
As soon as your video started, before you even said what you had been up to, we could see how happy and relaxed you looked. Sounds like a perfect getaway. We are a few hours from the beach and often head down for a quick overnight as relaxing while listening to the ocean is one of hubby’s favorite things. I prefer to just relax on the beach, let my mind empty and enjoy the warmth of the sun. Happy Stitching!
The warmth of the sun…love it! Just not too much of it. ❤️
Happy Stitching!
You always seem to be able to get away for short trips with your husband and have such a fun time doing whatever tends to interest either /both of you. What fun! When I used to go to the Beach , we always had our children with us so I'd love to be able to "recreate" those long ago times again.
We are very spur of the moment. When our schedules work out where we are both off together, we get in the car and go. He is my best friend and I enjoy our time together. ❤️
Congrats on your wreath finish. That is very pretty.
I always enjoy hearing about your get aways. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I live in sunny Florida, quite close to the beach. I enjoy it the most when all the family is in town. There's kids and toys and games and lots of laughter.
Happy stitching.
Children’s happiness is contagious. ❤️
I love going to the beach. I usually take a cooler with lunch and drinks, it’s about 2 hrs to go to the beach and I usually don’t take anything to stitch on, maybe a book. Take my dogs and usually do lots of walking, will sit and watch the waves. Glad you got some of your stitching done. Have a lovely week!
Thank you. Happy Stitching!
I love taking a book and a cold drink to the beach.
Absolutely! They’re a must for a beach trip. ❤️
I love your finished Christmas wreath and your purple Quaker piece.
Thank you Connie. ❤️
I don’t get to go to the beach often, but love it when I do. Last trip was family group. So brought games and color books. Grin.
Wonderful video!
Oh yes! Board games and cards for rainy beach day.
Have a lovely week!
Been a long time since I've been to a beach, we live in the Southwest Desert, but I always took a large beach bag with a book, a easy small size cross stitch, water bottle, cooler, sunscreen, sunglasses, flip flops ... and the biggest beach blanket to hold it all, plus a chair. Fun in the sun with swimming in the ocean was The Best.
The Best! It sure is! ❤️
❤Lori your finishes are beautiful! Love the Christmas one & it's size. Have a great week & thank you for sharing.
Thank you Barbara! Have a lovely week!
Hallo from Belgium! I live about one hour drive from the Belgian beaches. But the spring is not so warm to go to the beach yet. I would surely take a book and some stitching with me 👍
I haven’t been to the beach in 29 years! But I love the beach and would go in a heartbeat, but my husband burns terribly in the sun. I would take stitching and a book to the beach with me. Love your Christmas finish, cardinals are my favorite birds. Happy stitching!
I understand. The beach sun isn’t kind to my son. He doesn’t tan, he burns.
Have a great week!
I do love the beach it is a vacation destination for us . I love to have a good book or just people watch Absolutely love your Christmas finish
Thank you! A beach day is a perfect day. ❤️
I always look forward to your videos. Your stitching is beautiful. Congratulations on your two finishes. We live very close to Lake Ontario and while I don’t do beach days I absolutely love to go to the beach for sunrise and then walk the shore and look for sea glass. Happy stitching.
That sounds wonderful. I have never found sea glass, but am intrigued.
Have a lovely week. ❤️
I never take stitching to the beach, too much sand 😂. I always take all the common necessities, sun screen, towels, chairs, snacks and drinks, and of course a good mood . 🌞😁
A good mood is a must. ❤️
It's a bit chilly still, here in CT...our dogwoods are just now blooming...but looking forward, longingly, for a beach breeze! I always take a shell bag, as I love collecting Mother Nature's treasures! And lots of sunscreen as well! Your finishes are beautiful!! So glad to see someone else working on a 2018 Wip! I'm not alone!! Happy Mother's Day from a fellow empty nester!
No, you are not alone. 😉
I take a book or magazine. Usually my attention is moved towards the birds and the calmness of the waves.
Morning Chick! Me too. ❤️
The only beach trips I plan is for retreats near the beach. I love going to the mountains. Love the Christmas stitch.
Hey Aunt Linda! The beach is beautiful, but the mountains are special too. I wouldn’t want to choose a favorite between the two.
Have a great week! I’m trying to keep my face clean. ❤️
I’ve lived inland my entire life. Beach days don’t happen for me. I was raised with a creek behind our house. Lots of fishing, wading, etc. miss it!
Creek days are fun too. ❤️
Your finished pieces we beautiful! Thank you for sharing about the book. I'm searching for it. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome! I hope that you enjoy it!
Beautiful stitching! Glad you enjoyed your time at the beach. I do not live anywhere around the beach. I am disabled and never go to a beach anywhere. Have a terrific week.
Thank you! Have a lovely week!
Congratulations on your finishes! Your cardinal is gorgeous!
Thank you Chantal. ❤️
Telin Emblem finish is so beautiful, well done you ☺
I love the beach but don't get there often enough. When I do go I always have an Esky with a bag of ice in it to keep some soft drinks, water and fruit snacks nice and cool.
We take a cooler filled with treats same. There is nothing better than fresh fruits to snack on at the beach. So refreshing.
That question is easy for me. I grew up in Miami I had enough of the beach growing up I stay away lol rather stay home or go to the mountains. But always take stitches 😁
Yes, I always take stitches for the drive. ❤️
I always have a book when we go to the beach. My favorite was always Ocean Isle, but we lost our little favorite resort to a hotel developer. 😢 Now we need another quiet little place.
We experienced something similar at Jekyll Island when they demolished the hotel that we stayed in many times when our kids were small. It hurt our hearts.
Have a lovely week.
I will take my stitching with me to the beach. I'm thinking of going soon. I loved your finishes. See you next time.
Have a great time! ❤️
My favorite thing to take to the beach is myself. Being in georgia we have access to several beaches and love going to all of them
Here in the southeast , we are so lucky to have beaches within a few hours drive. ❤️
I have only been to the beach 2 times. I only took my kids and nothing else.
I like to have my air pods at the beach so I can listen to meditative music.
I love the beach. I go to Florida every winter for a few months and I love to sit at the beach and listen to a book or read my kindle. (I was watching that piece of floss on your shirt and felt like we were kindred spirits. I always have floss or thread somewhere on my person.... lol)
LOL! I didn’t know that I had floss on my short. Now I will have to go back and watch my video. ❤️
Tangle Tidings and the purple Quaker look great.
My closet beach is a sand pile in town😂😂
But I did go while our son was stationed out west. We took steaks to grill for the guys.
What is it about grilling outside that makes the food taste so much better. ❤️
Oh I love the beach! We are going to Hilton Head, our happy place. My favorite thing to take are my grands!
That is a beautiful beach too. My daughters had plans this weekend. I would have loved to have our littles there. Next time.
Happy Stitching!
@@mischievousstitches we have a home there and wish we got there more often than we do!
Although we were big sun lovers when we were young, skin cancer spots keep us from enjoying it. But, we always took plenty of foods especially fruits and veggies to eat and lots to drink. I look a book but we took sand activities for our kids so I usually didn't get much reading done. Your cardinal piece is so beautiful.
Thank you Sharon. ❤️
We enjoy going to the beach before the season begins and after it ends. Our favorit beach is @ 45 minutes away: Belmar.
Spring and Fall when the weather is perfect. ❤️
When we go to Lake Michigan which is very close to us, I like to take a book. The usually stuff is an umbrella and a cooler, but my relaxing time is reading a book. My hint is if your library has large print books, get one of them. It’s so easy to read whether you are at the beach or perhaps reading into the evening hours. Chris
Thanks for the hint Chris. Have a lovely week!
We are full-time RVer, so when I go to the beach, I pack light, as I love to walk the beach and look for shell, driftwood , and other things the waves have brought to the shore. Thanks for your Flosstube, I so much enjoy seeing your projects each week.
Thank you! Have a lovely week!
I am so happy you got the two pieces done that you wanted to get finished! Great job! I live in the Flint Hills of Kansas so now beach close. When I lived in North Carolina and went to the beach definitely a book to read! Have a great stitching week!
Looks like you got some sunshine on your shoulders. I just take a camping chair to the beach, put my toes in the sand, watch the waves go in and out, and relax. We live about 45 minutes drive from Seal Beach in So Cal.
So relaxing…. Yes, I got a little kissed by the Sun. ❤️
We take a zip lock baggie to the beach because we live in Missouri and seashells are not a thing. So when we get to the ocean 🌊 shore, then that's a amazing vacation and I just can't help myself, gotta pick up seashells.
There’s nothing wrong with that. I visit often and love to pick up shells. I put them in my potted flowers and flower beds. ❤️
I don't go to the beach very often, but when I do I usually don't bring anything except suntan lotion and snacks. 😁
Yes! Sunscreen is a must! ❤️
You are making good progress on your prices. I think Gingerbread House would be nice as a drum. I will make sure that I have my reading with me to the beach.
We have that in common. I always have a book.
We live 1500 miles from E,W,& S coasts (NE), so our "beach time" is generally at a big lake on the ranch, a river, or a local manmade large dam that is a State Park. It's not the same, I know, but the grandkids still have fun in the water and the sand. We pack chairs and food! No stitching.
There’s nothing wrong with lake and/or creek life. They are just as fun as beach life. ❤️
I love the beach, I live 5 minutes walking from the beach, I take my cross stitch to the beach, I love to cross stitch to the soud of the weaves, in winter time a drive my car to the beach and just cross stitch listening to the waves. if you ever come to Portugal you must come to Quarteira, we have a lovely beaches . See you next week and happy stitching
A five minute walk from the beach…that must be wonderful. ❤️
I love the beach but seldom get to go. My late husband loved going to the lake instead which I enjoyed as long as I had a book with me.
Lake Life is good too. Always take a book and cross stitch. 😉
I live at the jersey shore, 5 blocks from the beach. I bring knitting usually and sometimes a small stitch
Oh, to live so close to the shore….❤️
I am only minutes away from the beach, I cannot wait to take my first trip for this year! I just love the beach, it’s my soulful happy place. I honestly have only ever taken my music and toys for the kids, buckets to take walking and collect shells, etc. We prefer to go to Kiawah Island, it’s a county park and I just find I like it the best out of all of our beaches here in Charleston.
I need to get going on my HOD class piece! Hopefully this week it will see a start!
I have only ever driven through Kiara. I didn’t realize it was a county park. That’s nice to know.
See you soon!
@@mischievousstitches I believe the park itself is called Beachwalker Park if you want to look into it. Although I do recommend going early or later in the day or else the lot is full. Which is also why I enjoy it the most out of all of our beaches, there is limited capacity-as opposed to like Folly or Isle of Palms which are more public than not and super crowded all the time!
Man are you sunburned! Hope it doesn't hurt to much! I love your work , they are so pretty. I think I do more frogging then stitching lol
Oh, not at all. I have a little pink on my chest. I think the lighting makes it look as if I am sunburned. ❤️
Very nice finish
Thank you Susan!
Congrats on your 2 finishes. We are quite a few hours from the beach, tho we do try to go in Sept yearly. I take a book to the beach, but honestly I do more people watching than reading.
People watching is always fun. ❤️
If we go to the beach, I don’t take stitching to the sand, but do take it for in the condo. :)
You and me both. ❤️
thank you I did send an e mail.
Morning Debi! I received your email and will mail it out today. Congratulations! ❤️
We’re around an hour from the nearest beach so we always try to go a couple times a year. I wish we could go more lol. I’m a little scared to take my stitching to the beach. All that sand. So a book/kindle is my beach go to 😊
I agree about the stitching. If it were to get wet. 😳
I don’t live close to the beach I would take a radio, sunglasses. 1
Both are definitely must have items. ❤️
At least one of my Scottish ancestors was human trafficked to the USA (before the Revolutionary War) and was a victim of indentured servitude. She was whipped for getting into a relationship (with an Englishman IIRC.) (She was probably an adult already.) Love your stitching.
Oh wow! I find history so interesting. The book is sharing information that I was unaware of.
Have a great week! ❤️
I wish I liked/tolerated the beach but I burn so quickly that the beach isn't fun for me. However, I do like it when I'm near a beach in the fall or winter when I can take a walk on the beach when the sun isn't so strong.
The Fall is a great time to visit the beach. We often visit in October.
Have a lovely week!
The beach is not my favorite place to go because I grew up near the beach. It is pretty and I love to go out my toes in the sand but the mountains are my favorite
I can understand that. The mountains have a special kind of beauty too.
Happy Stitching!
🥰🧵🪡💞
❤️❤️❤️
I guess I might be less than 1% that doesn't like the beach. I live in NW Fl not far from several beaches and haven't been in years and years. I don't like the sand, the heat, the sun, the salt water........I prefer the mountains. I know..why am I living in Fl??? Good question. Simple.....I can't afford to move. I'm glad that others love the beach. I do like the sound of the water. IT's very relaxing.
I can understand how it could lose its charm if one lives close by. I too love the mountains. ❤️
I do not go to the beach until its January or February, I'm a Redhead and I just for the Archeology....I'm a Rockhound with a scoop....🥰🤣🤣...thanks for sharing...take care
I understand that, as I have a few redheads in my family. ❤️
Hi Lori, beautiful finishes! I do not go to the beach 😟. Thanks for your videos. 🌷🌺❤️💕
Thank you Kim. ❤️
