I was literally just going to message lol. It's not really a big deal, I just didn't know if it was just me or not!
No it’s us but I have no idea how!
The pieces you got with the hoop are most likely quilt squares. ❤
Oh my gosh! I just moved my computer to get more comfy and it started. I thought I messed up my computer. I'm so glad you two just went psychedelic for a bit. 😂
@@AllyBelser13 thank you!
Hi girls! Thank you for the wonderful video! ⚽ Your travel photos are lovely.
⚽️ I think you’ll still be okay with your borders, especially with the hoops you use. Part of the challenge for me is the q-snap, and that takes up so much more of the fabric in the “hoop” when stitching. So fun to join you both for another flosstube!
I do love to travel. You both have some lovely projects.
You both have inspired me to start cross stitch. I started with embroidery and just finished my first cross stitch pattern. Love to take my wips when I travel ⚽️
Nice video update ladies. I think your stamped cross-stitch pieces are quilt blocks. ⚽️
I’d say your thrift embroidery blocks are for a quilt. Congrats on your new old hoop. I donated all my old wooden hoops to a charity shop before I knew people still wanted them. I hope someone was as happy as you to find them.
I too think the blocks are for a quilt. So sweet of you Patty to donate your wooden hoops. I am sure it made someone’s day very happy!
That would be my guess too. Blocks for a quilt. Have fun with your thrift finds and love the stitching!!
You two are so fun to watch! Thank you so much for the mention. It's much appreciated! 🖤
Great video - you have so much fun together! I love to travel. ⚽️
My very first Mira was "Mother's Bliss". The movement in the design is amazing. It is a great start into Miras because there are no beads or partial stitches. I stitched it many years ago. Maybe I should get it framed 😂
⚽⚽⚽Love you guys, even in flashing neon! I'd love to travel to some of the beautiful places you've photographed. Excited to see what you've been working on in secret! ❤
⚽️ some nice finishes, and WIPs. Love the video. By the way Allison I was watching FlossBossinCousins and your name was pulled for a give away. Congratulations.
Thank you! 🙏
I love your vintage frames! Very mid century modern vibes :)
The large printed blocks of the horses are cotton quilt blocks. They were worth the travel to the thrift shop! 😊. Happy Stitching - Kari StClair - Springfield, Missouri
Yes!! LOVE that you’re getting the thrift find bug! Frames- omg. I get so many left over from my estate sales. I guess I’ll have to start adding them to the pile in the storage unit for my sale😊
Great finds!
Great video! Travel ⚽️
Thank you for a nice episode once again 🎉 Travel ✈️
⚽️ I enjoyed the video ladies.
Love the update!! 😍 it’s turning out so pretty!! and the conjecture on the middle 😂 it’s a secret…
Omg your Moonglow 🪦 🪦 the fabric I died can’t wait to see this come together! Thank you for the shout out 💕-Caroline
I also love to travel. I need to look at your shop!⚽️
⚽️ woo fell sleep but i finished this morning haha -C
You gals are funny. I began to finish my own completed object. Otherwise, they would never get done. It is a work in progress and frustrating at times. I did the Raven Queen that i posted in a few Mira/Nora groups..., repurposing and rescued the icky, retro over frame with fruit.
I try to find old frames from thrift stores, etc and redo them.
As always a great video!!! Love your progress on your WIPs
⚽ Travel
I'm dying laughing, I didn't think you would actually catch that (gentle, fond, friendly) ribbing about how extra you are. Thanks for the shout-out and the very entertaining video, as always! Also - thank you for gendering me correctly, you don't know how rare that can be. I've always appreciated that you include your pronouns in your introduction on-screen.
Great progress on your wips, both! And Allison, even if there is a bit of shrinkage on your Lady of the Flag, you can fudge the placement of the beads to fit, don't stress it! You guys mentioned Notion, I'm a HUGE fan and would love to see your set ups one day and how you guys use it :D
I believe that you got quilt squares. They print about 6 to 12 and you put a slash of fabric between them .
Agreed. Quilt or throw pillow squares.
Great video! Loved the thrift shop haul. ⚽
⚽️ Stephanie I hope you feel better soon. Allison your comment about birthdays had me laughing out loud. It’s funny how you are sisters and have things in common but are so different too. It’s like my sister and I. I wish my sister enjoyed cross stitch too. I live vicariously through all the sister flosstubers. I appreciate all the time that you spend with us when you could be stitching. 💜
The stamped cross stitch looks like quilt blocks if they are square repeating patterns. The longer rectangular pcs with the same pattern at both ends would most likely be dresser or stand scarfs.
I can’t get enough of your videos - always amazing. As for switching beads for smaller counts it’s pretty easy. Most mill hill beads come in multiple sizes for the same colour and if not there will be a similar colour that’ll give you the same look. I just finished Bluebell on 46 count and switched all the beads to petites and it worked very well. If there was a line of beads a had to eliminate 1 or 2 as it got tight but it still gave the same look. You should def join Mini Mira’s - we can help you convert. Good luck with your Mira May
Thank you so much! Wow - Bluebell on 46 count would be so cute.
Another fun video! Allison your Lady of the Flag is looking beautiful! I plan on starting mine on Flag Day. I will swap out the kit fabric for 16 count aida. It must have been so exciting to travel the world Stephanie! ⚽️
You are both so enjoyable! I want to travel to Europe! Been to Central America and Canada and have alot further to go. See you again soon!
⚽️ when I travel I end up bringing my knitting to work on because I can do it without having to watch what I'm doing, especially if I am supposed to pay attention to it (just went to a comedy show and knitting was perfect) but I do like the cross stitch while flying or driving when I can pay a little more attention to what I'm working on
I love to travel, but just by car. I used to fly all the time and now that I don't have to be anywhere in a hurry, my choice is my car when I can stop and get out if I want to, or pull over to see something special. 👀 :) Anyhow, you all have a great couple of weeks! 🦶⚽🥅
If you guys ever do merch, you should totally do “Do what makes you happy” as a tag line. Love seeing all your progress!! ⚽️
I love all your patterns! Can’t wait to see where we are going in the next one! 🤍 Great video! Travel ⚽️
Thank you!
So enjoyed the video! I live in near Estes so your Colorado/mountain patterns really appeal to me. ❤ (travel) Hood luck with your continuing finishing Allison. ⚽️
You ladies are so fun ⚽️
Love seeing your thrift hall, I how found cross stitch linen, aida and floss at thrift stores, founds kits hoops, I love thrift stores, sometimes cross stitching can get pricey but if you thrift you can find supplies for cheap
Thank you for the beautiful video once again! ⚽️ travel
You were talking about enabling people and Allison stitching the Lady of the Flag prompted me to start it. I'm old enough to have bought it when it first came out. Keepsakes is my LNS but I don't have a floss tube. Just Instagram. Love your channel.
I always have a lot of fun to watch!
thank you!
⚽️ just catching up after falling off the face of the earth😂 love you guys! The thrift finds are fabulous! Loving all the Mira’s as well, Allison your start on LOTF is gorgeous…I may finally jump in and start it with ya
we are so happy you're back! we're still catching up too. ❤️❤️
I have done that dimension baby kit ! It looks amazing when it’s completed. It was fun to do.
Fun morning of stitching and watching you two! ⚽ Actually your husband won’t like me much right now because we root for Aston Villa who beat Arsenal a few weeks back - whoops! I am rooting for them to win the whole thing though, City has won enough.
ugh we are still in mourning ❤️
Love The Queen Who Was finish and the progress on The Herbalist SAL. I still haven't started that one. Eek. ⚽
Travel Thank you for posting your videos :)
Stephanie, I think your thrift haul may be quilt blocks. My mom used to do them that way sometimes.
Tell him good luck ⚽️🏐. Don’t really know my balls 🤣
⚽️ I look forward to travel when the kids are older!
@crossstitchtheglobe Allison - since you love Tiny Modernist, you should come to Stitch North and meet her! She’s lovely :)
that retreat gave me so much fomo! One day Allison and I will have to figure out a retreat we can go to.
⚽️ (funny side story because I don’t want to not say *something* lol… until I got my second master’s degree, I had *only* attended schools where Soccer was the big sport, because the only time before then I had attended a school with a football team? Was 3rd grade. So wild and wacky. But it’s hilarious because when people talk about high school jocks for one reason or another, looking back at our teenage years, my brain immediately goes to “soccer boys” and lots and lots of Adidas, not to football players, lol!)
⚽️🏐
Great job on your progress 💖
Rholanda from @rhoscraftycorner had a birthday at the end of April and the channel has reached 150 subscribers. ⚽️
They could be squares for a small quilt
⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🥎🥅
I collect vintage frames from.goodwill or.thrift stores. Ive had to put myself on a buying freeze because i have so many..lol. Travel. ⚽️⚽️
Ugh yes, I have way more frames than finishes to put in them! -Stephanie
How big is that fabric for your Lady of the Flag? It looks large and I’m about to order mine for LotF so I want to make sure I order enough. Thanks! Good work!
She has a fat half yard!
⚽️
I was also monogamous until last year and now I’m left wondering where all the WIPs came from. 😂 who did this to me? (It was me. I started them)
ahahahah
Stephanie, I'm 44 this year so don't fret on that one. I love to travel and further down my cross stitch journey (do you see what I did there 😂😂😂😂) I want to start cross stitch pieces of some of the places I've been. My hubby and youngest are Nottingham forest fans so it's nerve wracking at the lower end of the table too, as for me I'm Sheffield wednesday who narrowly hung on to staying in the championship. Out of the two top prem teams you mentioned it's definitely Arsenal. ⚽️⚽️⚽️
Those look like quilt squares
Maybe Jack Dempsey cross stitch quilt squares
Hi friends,
I am french, and I would like to know what signification have Bees in America. I see many bees in cross stitching, essentially in primitiv design. What does it means ? Glory ? Faithfull ? Peace ? Health ?
THanks for your answer 💙
I always think of bees as a symbol of summer, but I found this as well: Honey bees-and the values associated with them-have influenced American values for four centuries. Bees and beekeepers have represented order and stability in a country without a national religion, political party, language, or family structure. www.environmentandsociety.org/mml/bees-america-how-honey-bee-shaped-nation#:~:text=Honey%20bees%E2%80%94and%20the%20values,%2C%20language%2C%20or%20family%20structure.
@@CrossStitchtheGlobe Thank you very much for your answer🙂 ... From now, I will cross stitch more bees 🌼🌼
