BIG TIRES & BLOWERS - Pigeon Forge Rod Run Spring 2024

- I love the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, but I can do without the squatted trucks, and the shenanigans that go on during the weekend, so we do a mid-week trip to see some hot rods without the nonsense. Of course, I miss some of the cool cars because many of them don't arrive until Thursday or Friday, but it's still a great way to enjoy Pigeon Forge without the crazy traffic. This video showcases some of the wild and crazy Pro Street cars, gassers and street machines on hand. I intentionally did not video the 9 million Camaros, Novas, Mustangs up there that were for sale because you've probably seen that stuff before. This video is more about the wild creations that come out of the woodwork every time the Rod Run happens.

Great video and thanks for not adding any stupid music to it and letting the cars do the talking
What I still like is the late '60s '70 s muscle with air shocks all jacked up in the back with big fat tires
Great video, some awesome cars built with a lot of love
Man I wish I was there 😊😊🎉🎉❤
I enjoy have you skip the regular junk and show the cool older stuff! Much appreciated
Thanks for taking us along haven't got to go in years . Hope your little sidekick helpers are doing good .
Pro street is awesome big tires big blowers 💪😀💪
I just saw the cover of hot rod magazine in the supermarket, the 80s pro Street come back! Great video keep up the great content!
Absolutely beautiful at night!! Thank you for bringing us this great video!
I love all of the Studebaker coverage!

That ol Casper has been around been around ever since i can remember and ive been going since i was 9.
A very nice Show! Love the Hot Rods. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
💯❤️👊👍
Greatly enjoyed your insightful commentary.
Thank God no RestoMod BS. Ugg - I just can't take seeing another classic destroyed, Esp with those large rims and skinny sidewall tires!!!
Great video, Thanks!
I love Pro Street having been in my late teens when it really hit.
Awesome show!!! Looks like you see a little of everything at that show!!! Great video!!!
I have to make the trip for this show! Thanks for sharing 😎👍
Absolutely love it!
I like it fifty five nomad gasser With the airbrush casper
Love to see you do a Ep. With You and Sleeperdude just hangout.
I love seeing the pro street cars and I love Studebakers. But I'm a diehard Nova man.
I love this video. Excellent job thank you.
Southern Thunder; know what that reminds me of, TA/FC racing in the mid-late 80's. Ellis, Organ, Kell.
I heard a guy with a Lamborghini say he will never again race someone who has an engine that doesn't fit under the hood....lol
Those turds are for high speed.
LOL he spent money for a European super car and must have gotten smoked by someone that built a great car and didn’t purchase his factory horsepower! Ego got crushed !
@@coyboybc I had to laugh ....
That tiny little brown car is a Autobianchi Bianchina traformabile Fiat based coupe.
Check out vids of them hill climb racing Germany... mad fast cars.
Awesome show!!! Thanks for sharing and letting the cars sing those sweet rumbling sounds!!! 👍👍👍
Gotta love “ the run what ya brung” mentality!!!!
Love the coverage Sir.
The guy that had the radical 69 Camero, also has other cars and trucks like this. He builds these regularly. I remember when they had the run in Gatlinburg. That was wild days and nights. Ronnie.
the car @7:58 is a late 50s Autobianchi. great video loving seeing the 90s pro street cars. the Bolton chevrolet van was cool to see I live in Commerce
Music of our people's )
Hey Hot Rod Hoarder Hi from the D Mi hey thanks for sharing your Awesome video of the Pigeon forge car show/ cruise 🎉🤩👍💪🌟I 😍it, Pigeon forge is one of my favorite vacation destinations ❤
Good choice of cars to feature. Thanks for sharing.
Great footage. A lot of nice rides. Thank you for sharing.
Enjoyed the coverage of the event. Cool cars for sure
You are site number 9 I had to resubscribe to today.
That's the way to do it! Excellent
Bolton chevrolet, I believe was across from the Commerce Georgia police department and houses a very talented metal fabricator that does rust repair and metal fabrication for classice cars . The guy that owns the shop now built a complete nose for the Superbirds and Daytonas . Just thought I'd let you know what was happening in the old Bolton chevrolet dealership. I've always loved going to Pigeon Forge for the rod runs and even the smaller car shows. Beautiful classic cars and trucks and a gorgeous lowered crewcab obs dually
awesome vid seen ya cruising in in the vette loved the dirt track car set up he cruised all weekend
FREEDOM )
My first time viewing your channel and I am very impressed. I appreciate all the hot rod knowledge you have and not playing a bunch of stupid music. Keep up the great work!
4:25 Wow ! Survived better than the actual cars . Most Subaru Brats were and are rust buckets . Awesome to drive and ran great and would go anywhere but.
Many cool cars....✌️
👍👍
I need to do that; all my friends are moving out of SoCal to that area.
Even with running zoomies, I should be good. I saw a few cars running open headers.
Nice. 🇦🇺👍
Nice cars I hope the state doesn’t ruin this event.
The little brown import appears to be a radically modified NSU Prinz.
Hopefully you didn't have to deal with the swat trucks like we did
That little brown car could be a Renault my Auntie had one and it looks a little familiar,,,,,,,I love that Buffalo truck👍
I don't care who thinks Pro Street is late 80s an 90s I love em an had a couple
Edit: I see blown mafia was there
The little brown car is an autobianchi bianchina it is a Fiat 500 platform with a sportier body, originally would have had a rear mounted two cylinder engine making about 17hp. I wouldn’t mind finding one to go with my 69 Fiat 500.
1:09 Owner likes Air Brushed T shirts and I hope that hat was cheap.😊
Still have a soft spot for V8 Vegas, nice example and early look best
I considered going, but I was told not to go because of the crowd and unruly people.
Then today I saw that many people were arrested and ticketed .
Also some cars were towed .
They said they thought about doing away with the cruse, but it brings in a lot of money.
You may say it's great, but many say it's become a nightmare.
I think he knows that which is why he went during the week.
I went for the first time this year. I enjoyed myself, but like you said the crowd was rough later in the week. I went Thursday - saturday
I've done the Thursday through Sunday routine quite a few times and it's perfect for the true Rod Run experience. Last fall, we did the mid-week deal and it was a game changer.
@@HotRodHoarder I'm definitely going to plan to get there earlier! I don't really care for the crowds, I just want to see cars

Those fugly wheels you referred to as chrome US Mags... they're called the Torq Thrust ii/2 by American Racing. I much more prefer the older ones like on the original 1968 Bullitt movie.
@@xmo552 the Torq Thrust II used to be the go-to wheel. Now, it's the US Mag wheel called the Rambler. It's cheap and available in muscle car sizes, and it seems like everyone is slapping them on flipper cars.
I didn't recognize the "B" car. Mini Cooper maybe??? Or could be something someone completely fabricated themselves. If you have the design talent and the mechanical know-how, you could conceivably make your own car from scratch. I also wonder sometimes how many of those cars are built for purely "show"....like the Biscayne. With an engine that powerful, it looks like it would rip itself out of the engine bay before it got the car moving. 😅 Very cool cars!! Thanks for sharing! 😎
The "B" might be a Bantam
i think that the little tan car is a ABARTH
The B like that on an early brit may have been a bristol, the company Shelby bought the 289 cobra body from. Very custom though.
I haven't been to a rod run in over 20 years... Is it still bumper to bumper traffic during the cruise?
I'm thinking Abarth
When is the best day to go if you are not great in the crowd
What museum did they find that Chevrolet Van ???. Ans far as that Micro Car I want too say Benelli 😊
Where is Pigeon Forge? This looks like a great time!
Tennessee. Near Gatlinburg. Dollywood theme park and every other touristy place that you can think of. It’s a nice place. Just be prepared for traffic and expensive everything.
"red '69 Camaro" I laughed so hard! I made a comment the other day at a car show I made a video on, "Oh, look a red Chevelle SS. It just wouldn't be a car show with at least one of those." Ever notice ALL Chevelles are SS? Yeah...
After going through my book of car emblems, by Giles Chapman, I cannot find that emblem.
What did you do with your Studebaker's ?
Hey hot rod, did you go back to Coker tire , as their marketing guru. Thought you took a break from your RUclips channel?
I take little breaks occasionally just to keep from getting burned out. I got a good offer from Coker Tire so I went back to full time earlier this year.
Really liked that real old footage from 80’s or 90’s, those newer cars that weren’t classics are now ..
need more burnouts, good footage 👍
The reason you can't sale your car there is a guy had a 1957 Chevy, and someone gave him cash. It was final. Until the guy went to the bank the next day and the money was all counterfeit.
Do you have an email that I could reach out to you about a possible video?

Race car
shhh,,too much chitter chatter
DO you just not know enough about Mopars and Ford to show and talk about them.... All the chevys are typical to any car show.
The Rod Run is very GM heavy because that's what all the dealers buy, sell and trade while they're there. I was there early in the week, and that's when it's mostly traders doing their thing before the big crowds show up. But you're right, I ain't real smart.

The flat intercoolers on the hemi 62 reminded me of the c4 Callaway Corvettes.
Boring all chevy
You must be blind.
