Ripping tools isnt working anymore. When I converted to fbx, nothing changed.
Could any of this work with ripping the sound effects as well? I'm trying to find ways to rip them from the game!

when i ripped classic sonic he had a hole where his mouth would be, any solutions?

Hello! I'm attempting to rip assets from Generations however the GUI ripping tools folder comes with nothing that has any form of an application? I can't RIP the models and animations properly without that. Also, is their a list somewhere of what all the files are actually related too? There's tons of them for Sonic, but I don't know which one is his primary Modern model and animations?
For the first issue, make sure you download from the Releases tab. here’s a direct link - github.com/Nova-69/Ripping-Tools-GUI/releases/download/v1.0.1/RippingToolsGUI.7z
for the second one, the only resource i know of for that is this info.sonicretro.org/SCHG:Sonic_Generations . modern sonics model and anims are in sonic.ar.00 and sonic.ar.01
I ripped Sonic model animations but nothing happens on the animations and idk what i did wrong. Thx for the help btww
When i opened the animations they and the model looked fucked up, do you know how to fix it?, the model i was trying to rip was blaze, if that helps
Make sure you’ve got the write skeleton and model selected, they should have similar names. otherwise i’m not sure what could be the issue
How would you go about getting rid of the double mouth on Sonics model? (Or at least be able to control it in a way similar to how Gens handles it?)
iirc you can just select it and delete it in whatever model program ur using as it's a separate model, or in a game engine you can make one invisible (just scale it to 0) depending on the camera angle

where did you find the models and animations from sonic generations?
As shown in the video, i extracted the .cpk files, which you can find in the game’s directory after downloading the game from Steam or anywhere else
I don’t have the game but I need the animations do you know how I could still get the animations
sadly youl have to have the game in order to have the files

Hey i got a problem. I decompressed unleashed ar files and extracted the model and hkx files, i also used hkxconvert on .anm files. But when i use the modelfbx on the model and converted hkx, there is no animation on the models no matter what fbx i open. Am i doing something wrong? Also all the hkx files had up to 20kb size, after hkxconverted they're all 0kb
That 0kb bug was fixed in version 1.0.1, are u sure u have the latest one downloaded?

The github repo link is in the description, jus hit the Releases tab then download the latest release

it's been a bit since I've even touched my PC much less generations, so I don't really remember unfortunately. I think bb3 though, but just check the website to be sure

Yes, just have to find the right file, then follow the steps shown in this tutorial
@@VelaNovaW Cool, Thanks a ton. I am trying to also rip Silvers vfxs from the Silver boss fight and Shadows Animations from the Shadow Boss fight but it is rough to find them.
@@nightbreak3306 Shadows animations are in bsd.ar.00 I believe or something similar to that, for silver it might be bsl? since bsd stands for Boss Shadow

For the people who wanna rip the Sonic The Hedgehog
Models like Super Sonic, Classic, and Modern then use bb3
instead of bb2 and go down to "Sonic.ar.00". I think the 01 has the same files idk.
but Modern has a lot of anim files so it would probably be hard to find the correct
anim your looking for inside Moderns File or maybe not idk.
(Edit: If u import it into blender or other 3d software's his Hips bone or Reference bone
will break for some anims like one of Sonic's waiting idles etc. Idk if this applies to other
3d software's but it happens for blender sadly.)

you must be doing something wrong, ive ripped him before and it worked fine
@@VelaNovaW I do exactly what you did in video and his animations are deformed but his model and textures work fine
