- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to the nation during his visit to Karnataka on Sunday (12 March).
The project involves six-laning of the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysuru section of NH-275.
The 118 Km long project has been developed at a total cost of around Rs 8,480 crores.
The expressway will reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from around 3 hours to about 75 minutes. It will act as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the region.

Good, I went to Bangaluru,Mysuru, India, recently and it takes a while almost 8 hours from International Airport .Beyond Mysuru, such as Kollegal, Kollegala town has very small highway and packed and crowded with small cars, buses, Animals, Horse carts,trucks,tracktors,3 wheelers, Omg,humans crossing, no automatic traffic lights system and very ,busy highways. Beyond the Mysuru, VERY POOR, People's living lifestyle looks like 20 years back, Omg. Need development.
Should have allowed fast moving two wheelers, like my bike.

Drove on it today... lot of work is incomplete... there are still by passes to service road because the expressway is no where near complete...The entry and exit points for all the towns enroute are still unclear & pathetic... Wait for a few months... coffins will fall out... Very shoddy planning and execution... I do not know why people are going gaga about this !
