Very nicely done video showing the newly constructed expressway. On March 18, we traveled from Mysore to Pandavapura on the same highway. I am used to complaining about the lack of lane discipline on Indian highways. Since I have driven in the USA a lot, I hope they will enforce lane discipline on expressways. I am really proud that the narrative is done in Kannada so that even village folks would enjoy this wonderful video.
Jai Modi !! India is really transforming , particularly karnataka!! Hopefully Karnataka people will vote intelligently and give full majority for Modi!! Jai HInd!
Whatever we build 6 , 8 10 12 lanes nobody follows the lane discipline, most people drive for thrills, someone says I covered in 30 mnts, 45 mnts 1 hour etc, and post in social media.
The road itself will be nice. But they need to build proper entry and exits with proper marking, service roads needs lanes. Also mandatory training is needed for all drivers
Road is good and also toll. But Google map not updated, where it shows left ya right turn, there will be no road all. So today on this express way we saw many cars are coming from opposite side on wrong directions, so Need proper sign boards. And The angle of merging road with express way is not proper - that leeds to accident.. Also commuter not following traffic rules, overtaking from left & right side without horn/ without showing flash light. The speed breakers on service road are not painted, so leads to accident at night.
I think 2 and 3 wheelers will be banned from entry once the expressway is completely finished as well as the service roads for their usage, until then they are allowed. Actually, the metro station that you thought to be RR Nagar Metro station is actually yet to start functioning Challaghatta station, being extended from Kengeri station, which is the last stop for now for the Purple line, RR nagar station is still 4 or 5 stations ahead.
Excellent status video. After watching this, some questions come to mind. 1. Was there any widely disseminated notice to the public about what the lane use rules are on a National Expressway? It seems that many of the drivers on the road have no idea that they are violating lane rules. 2. When a new driver is tested for DL issuance, is there a rule book that teaches highway rules and signage? If not, we can not blame people for poor observance of rules that they don't know to exist. Also, it is possible that traffic police do not yet know that they have to enforce lane discipline and are concentrated only on speed violations.
