I think this has been 1 of if not THE favorite of your videos & I've been with you now for several years. I am presently going thru 3mo's of chemo, pretty much stuck in bed with bad breathing issues. So enjoying all the beautiful country, loving the smiles & laughs & remembering my own past mountain hikes - it just warmed my heart. You have no idea how much joy this gave me! Truly beautiful video and amazing experience for both of you. I have followed your channel for years. Your closing comments reminded me that you and Baron have spent a lot of time alone in your years in the scamp. Truly.. since you have settled in one place your need and joy in finding a community has grown. Your spirits have opened up to the special feeling of sharing experience. In this case this was 75 people sharing an experience. That is a large number!!! I think as you have moved through your lives you were working on finding joy and camaraderie with a wider and wider circle. That is why that adventure, at this point in time worked out so well.

Swimming in a high mountain lake reminded me of summer camping and swimming in St Helens Lake (before the mountain blew). The first foot or so of surface water was warmer because of the sun. As my legs dangled deeper into the glacial melt, it was almost numbing. I will never forget the exhilaration I felt after that swim. Am 70 now and envy your youthful treks.
Your videos are blissful to those of us who love nature and have traveled and lived in many different areas of the country (or world I suppose) and find they often wax poetic. Such a wonderful and grounded life you have been able to live - I hope many learn from it. I have watched for years and have loved all your adventures, your humor, and your beautiful artistic creations. That was amazing! It really calls to the Swede in me. My maternal grandfather came to the States with some of his family from Sweden. I wish I had gotten into hiking when I was younger, but at 70 it is no longer an option. I will continue to live vicariously through you two - so enjoyable.

I love love love being in a tent when it's raining, it's so cozy and comfy. And the sound of the rain is so soothing.
