Just caught this video after watching some of your recent "W-on-W" here in 2022 !! This video cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣, it's so slapdash, so un-prepared, un-rehearsed and clumsy, but it was Great !!
I’d say you have created the perfect layout and only put in the things you really need. This makes the van look clean and spacious and I think everyone will agree with me that you have done an amazing job.
Oops, wait up, I didn't finish !! 🤣🤣 I have a Transit so this was quite interesting. I can't really understand why people have a ceiling fan, when, as you say, you can crack your front cab windows and I also notice that the side window also opens. I have a skylight in my roof, which I find much more useful than a suck/blow fan, but each to their own, hey?? I love how all your 'draws' are full of junk and so unorganizex !!! 🤣🤣🤣 I wonder if your more recent van (Merc Sprinter??) is better organized. BTW I love your beard 💯 Thanks for the larf !! 🤣🤣🤣
You crack me up Mel.Paul Whitehouse has got nothing on you buddy. I have a T4 caravelle stealth camper, was a minibus with full windows.Limo tints sorted that out, blackout curtains and two on the bulkhead. I will have to do a video showing mine soon. Best trip iv'e done is all the way up the east coast of Scotland, free camping at all the harbours and always a nice pub..New sub here fella, happy camping.. Nice setup btw.

Hi Mel gr8 blog nice to see someone happy in there diy cant wait to see the next build shold have your own tv show(diy campervans) maybe 1 day.Q. looking at a transit T350 RWD crewcab LWB. But dont uderstand about weghts/payloads eney i dear cheers steve.
While I am looking at the video, I'm wondering why its so shaky and lighting changing all the time. Its because you are holding the camera on yourself as you do the tour. Better idea - just hold the camera and take yourself out of the frame. We get to see more of the van build and camera is more steady and lighting more even. In fact, its a mistake to put oneself in the frame much at all. Just a bit here and there. Mostly just show the van. We can here you speak and if you are in the frame you block the view of the build. Very nice build, Mel. This looks so cozy!
Great van tour Mel, I love the layout you got. I'm looking to get a van but not sure what, but watching your videos I think it's the transit for me fella. 😁🏴👍
So Mel you got yourself a Ford Transit Trend and then you converted it, was it expensive and a lenghty job, as I intend sometime when CoVid is done with to get on the road in a similar fashion, so if youo would be so kind as to make a breakdown of costs I'd be truly thankful !! Oh one thing I forgot to mention is your van manual or automatic gearbox as the latter is what solely drive - Cheers!
Nice van Mel, well worth the effort you put in, especially to get electric wipers 😜 Time to head off to Camp Off-Grid in Derbyshire this weekend with Campervan Tales, test everything out fully 👍🏻

Yes, I use mine all year round. Previously we’ve made do with hot water bottles, because the van is pretty well insulated, but it’s a bugger if you’re out in minus ten and can’t get it warm. I just realised I have a slightly different variant model, mine is AWD, so the floor is raised up to make room for the rear prop shaft, it was originally a crewcab in van, three rear seats and a very heavy bulkhead. When I’d finished the conversion (never really finished but you know what I mean) it weighed the same, with full tanks, water, gas, cupboards etc as it did before I started. That’s how heavy the bulkhead and rear seats were!

One thing I wondered about, why did you not connect your diesel heater to your main vehicle fuel tank (I've assumed your van is a diesel)? Keep the video's coming, your great in front of camera.
Ok so your solar panel is held down by well nuts but if its flexible does it not rattle with wind going under it while driving ? Or if its gusty when parked up ?
