Might I suggest leaving that small sink as your bathroom sink for hand/face washing and teeth brushing, and get a collapsible washbasin with drain to set on top (straddling it) for dish washing, etc. A collapsible collander is great for washing fruits and veggies, too. It's an easy way to separate kitchen and bathroom activities and helps to prevent cross-contamination..
Just working on one of this but ELWB same year 2007.Was on my driveway for last 4 years after I gave up my courier work .You can imagine what need to be done...almost everything :D ..but is nothing better than dreams which are realized step by step. All the best guys.
Hi, I love your van install. I have a top tip for you. I have a sailing yacht with a similar electrical setup, however instead of the isolator switch I have a solenoid (basically a beefy relay) which is actuated automatically by the ignition on my engine. Engine starts, solenoid opens, domestic battery charges. Engine stops, solenoid shuts, engine battery is isolated. There is also a push butt to force the solenoid open which allows me to jump start the engine off the domestic battery. It’s simple and it works. You can pick up a Lucas universal solenoid fairly cheap and is more or less a straight swap for your isolator if you can run a cable from the ignition coil to activate it. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing the video.
Only just found your channel whilst searching for Peak District videos as will be moving very close to there in 19 days which is really exciting! Great videos, thank you!
Awe your grannys little pouf had me, bless her. I love yer van, sleek, clean, and so much space for what ye require. That bed is huge when the extension is on. Nice tour, you two, Lauren must get one of those string bags for when camping. Thanks guys.
Love your van guys! Giving me inspiration for when I save enough to get a cheap old work van, I’m going to give a conversion a go by myself (I’ll probably ask my dad to help haha)! Can’t wait to get on the road hopefully this time next year 😃
You want big side stickers that say “Mothercare Service Vehicle” We have lots of Landrover test vehicles round us (Kenilworth) that have very jazzy patterned camouflage wrapping and nobody ever bothers them anywhere.
Nice one guys! You say it’s a Basic van build but hey it’s everything you need. It’s genuine stealth which is good. Easy to go overboard and lose that stealth vibe
Hey guys Great tour of ya van. Always looks so neat tidy and cosy Lauren you look so snug in a coat. Need that this weather as it’s not been to good Enjoy ya week Love Kim x x
Superb Video ! Kitted out superbly without costing a fortune. Great idea with the leisure battery & isolating it from main van battery. Loads of good tips for me to have a bash myself. Thank you.
Brilliant work! We did a backpacking trip round Scandinavia over three weeks when we were about your age. By public transport. No mobiles or internet! Just maps & Lonely Planet guide and staying in huts and youth hostels. We did it in June and no midgies! But I reckon in a campervan, you could do the fjords in a week from Oslo. Reflecting our journey. Oslo to Bergen Bergen to Balestrand (Veganeset Camping) Balestrand to Stryn Stryn to Geiranger Geiranger to Andalsnes(via Troll Highway) Andalsnes to Trondheim Trondheim to Oslo. The only problem is getting to & from Oslo from UK which would be a few days drive from Calais but you would drive over some spectacular bridges in Denmark and between Denmark & Sweden. We had the advantage that we were living in Denmark at the time. Big budget, not cheap (but we avoided alcohol), but probably our most epic trip and the roads/facilities are top notch!
Hi guys, love the vlogs, you both are very happy positive people and I look forward to your videos every week, loved the new York trip, always wanted to go but never got the chance. Be safe and happy guys. Keith from torrevieja, Spain.plus I follow will aswell loved the 500 trip you all did.
The wood burner/stove can be a good help to dry out a space. You have a lot of wood in the van. If some of it would be lighter matetial that could easily compensate a stove's weight. I'd definitely have use for one.
Discovered you guys because of your boat! This is a really cool van! At first I thought it’s very builder ish lol, but I then grew to love how discreet it is! Happy camping! X

You've really made it your own. The whole thing fixed your personalities, and for you life styles it's all you need, right down to the chamber pot, (after all, Queen Victoria the 1st used a chamber pot), so it must be alright. LOL! Stay groovy and stay safe.
Nothing wrong with that build - It's quality. Functionality counts and that's a great tiny house/van. Bikes are great. According to the missus, you can never have enough fairy lights. You should start placing the stickers in random, famous locations.
Hi, great video! Probably going to use this as inspiration when building my own one. One question, is there any reason why you have it look this stealth from the outside? Not that I don’t like it, just wondering whether it is because of preference or any other reason. In Germany for instance, it is not allowed to just park and sleep on any parking spot (technically, assuming someone cared). So having your van look stealthy maybe an advantage because from the outside you might not expect someone sleeping in there. Thanks :)
Beautiful van! But I recommend you put the CO alarm close to the floor, CO is heavier than air, and will fill up the space from the bottom up, so it being that high, it wouldn't trigger until the whole space is filled! So please be safe!
That is complete nonsense! Carbon monoxide alarm Should be placed high up nearer to the ceiling I am a hetas and gas engineer and we have to install carbon monoxide alarms within 5 inches of the ceiling by law as it will rise to the top first then slowly make its way down.
Agree. Total bollocks @drivitt You should place a detector at high level. The specific gravity of Carbon Monoxide is 0.9657 (with normal air being 1.0), this means that it will float up towards the ceiling because it is lighter than regular air.
@@thepracticalsurveyor Sorry, yes I must have gotten mixed up when I posted this (two years ago...). Probably thinking of a detector that I was familiar with at the time, that detected propane, CO and smoke, which was recommended to put low (because of the propane). CO alarms should be placed higher than your head is at while you're sleeping. My bad.
Nice camper you got there. I am intrigued about the diesel heater. Would it happen to use it in the night in winter? If so would it attract attention when it's turned on noise wise?
With that big window on side door is hardly stealth as this van do not usually come with windows in the back. But it is a nice and cosy conversion great work
