For the Iso Seats, on one hand I like how Toyota is really trying to make the Pro a “Pro” with crazy features, but on the other hand man is it really unnecessary and a rear leg room killer.

I was all in on getting a trd pro in the spring but the more videos I see on those seats the more I think I’m going to get something else. First we start seeing how bad the legroom is and now you show us that you can’t recline the seats. I mean it looks great but those front seats are a dealbreaker for me. I think I’m going to try and get a trailhunter now. I think the snorkel and mullet look dumb on the trailhunter but you can at least use the seats.
Gotta be honest, the piano/gloss black is almost worse than the chrome stuff we all hate, the color is nice but it can wait for the following year to get it on a TRD off-road and save $7k…and then there are those hilarious seats, I guess they’ll help dudes with speedbumps in the mall/work parking lot! I kid, I kid lol.
This is a great video a lot of details. I wonder why Toyota opted out of having an engine cover so you wouldn't see a smattering of hoses crossing the engine.
It's a bizarre compromise. They went with some mid range shocks and these crazy seats that don't recline and make the back seats useless. The Raptor has Fox Live valves and the ZR2 Multimatic DSSV's, this was Toyota's solution?
I think it’s going to be hard to compete with the new Chevy Colorado ZR2. Only time will tell and we all knows by default Toyota wins the reliability column
yeah i have the Denali Canyon and it was 52kish i think OTD. so fingers crossed its around that to compete with the ZR2. They will have my money if so@@TRDJon
they should give you the option to delete those TRD Pro seats - they take up an additional 4 inches of leg room in the back and you cant recline the front seats.
I hate gloss black, and for that reason alone, I will probably purchase the Trailhunter. I don't understand the reasoning behind putting gloss black on a model that is meant for off-roading. Also, those gimmicky seats in the TRD Pro eat up legroom in the back. The legroom is already very tight in the Tacoma, and those seats in the TRD Pro make them even much tighter.
Your 4runner is a good vehicle if you don't need a bed. Personally, I'm going to get the OR solar octane. But if it takes too long, I'll just get the SR5 and trade it in later.
Anyone notice the rear passenger windows are much smaller than Ge3 ? I don’t really like that , Toyota needs to give this truck more leg room in the rear also … but looks like for the next 7years or so this will be it .
I’m a big Tacoma fan ! They are making these new ones look awesome however, nobody’s talking about the bumble bee sound they make while they are running.I’m so afraid people are going to be let down with the 4cl turbo.I can’t believe because of epa they have put to rest the torque of the 2nd gen v-6. I’m disappointed.
@@oldmanmike4995it’s tried and true tested and known to be a durable motor going well into the 300k’s+ with little to no maintenance other than basic oil changes. The i force max is not tried and true tested for its durability. This is a 50/50 toss up and could be a big deal breaker for many.

Any designer who suggests that terrible piano black finish for consoles, interior trim, or fender flares needs to have their nose smacked with a rolled up newspaper & given a gentle but firm "No" every time. If they keep doing it then they should be asked to design a different part of the vehicle instead - like the tie rods, exhaust system, or spare wheel mount where aesthetics aren't important. There's no time when that shiny dirt/fingerprint/scratch-collecting material is ever suitable. It looks terrible in no time, it gives the vehicle a cheap, disposable feel, and considering the price they charge for Tacomas now there's no excuse for using it. The Toyota Tacoma is supposed to be rugged and we pay dearly for its capabilities & durability. I hope the production models will have different materials instead of that shiny junk.

Sorry to ramble but I bought my truck brand new with 15 me and I live in Phoenix when I went to turn on the AC did not work and then when I went to use my 4 x 4 and when I did finally get four-wheel drive to turn on it would not turn off and had to be towed to the dealer for a front diff actuator! All I've done to the truck is change all the fluids to amsoil (front diff, rear diff & manual transmission) transfer case redline MT-LV & did 4 🛢️ changes within 8,000 miles & NEVER took it off-road!
I hear you .. I was 2nd owner of my 2016 Platinum Tundra and updated everything to 2021 standards and said would never give up this proven 5.7 !! Just got a 24 Tundra Pro brand new in Terra with 2 miles!! Loved the 16 but this is a better truck !
@@Sam-dq7ws of course it's better because you've only had it for a little while if you keep it let's see how it is down the road with the turbos I've owned all motor naturally aspirated vehicles and a few of newer cars with turbo and I'll tell you what now that I have an all motor naturally aspirated V6 I will never go back to a turbo setup

Yes they should be. The Pro may be a tad higher with the Fox suspension.
